DO NOT GO TO THIS LADY PLEASE! She ruined my birthday I had to cancel my dinner reservations because she closed the shop and didn't give me my dress on my birthday. She didn't even call me or text me that my dress was ready so I didn't know that it was complete. She told me to come to the shop after hours at 4pm and it closed at 3pm I came to the shop at 4:20pm thinking she was still going to be there and nobody was in the shop. I was so disappointed in this company's lack of communication. She did not tell me when she closed the Google and yelp both have different times on closing so this company is so confusing. I wish I would have never gave her my dress that day. I paid her nearly 100 dollars for my dress to be customized and have straps, now I have no need for this dress it makes me quite sad looking at it. I went here to get a bridesmaid dress altered. I arrive and the lady asked me to try on the dress. I had my shoes I was going to wear with the dress and she told me to put everything on. I put on everything I stepped outside for her to see and I stood on this step. She took in some measurements and made some marks on the dress so she knew how much to hem from the bottom. I was in and out in about 10-15min. I led the dress with here. She asked me when I needed it by. I told her two weeks. I was able to pay before or after. And the price was reasonable. When it was time to pick up my dress I had to try it in again and she examine to see if it fit. And the dress fit nicely. It was exactly what I needed. If I need anything altered again I will be going here. read more

I went to this shop to get a belt put on my dress for a wedding I am in. I hang the dress on the hanger rack to show the owner how the belt needs to be put on the dress. She proceeds to tell me what looked better. I explain to her what the bride wanted. I called the bride in front of her to reiterate what I wanted done to make sure she understood. Well I went to pick up the dress and the belt was put on wrong. I paid $50 to have this done and it was done the way I specifically told her not to do it. The sad part is that she made a mistake and refused to correct it and ignored me. She was very Nasty and the bride heard her yelling at me. The wedding is in 3 days. I have to find someone to fix it and repay for May's mistake! I will never go back there again. I will not recommend NO ONE! read more

I've done business for years and sent at minimum 50 people to their location. Her system was down and she made me go to an arm to revive my goods almost two weeks late. Then I had a jacket from 4 months ago she lost then found and then expected to charge me the original $30 for to obtain back after lying to me basically. read more

Watch out for the appearance! This lady appears to be nice! However, she tried to rip me off. For a wedding, I was referred to get my dress alter there. She had already altered two other bridesmaids dresses before mine and charged $30. When it came to me, she tried to charge me $50. When I asked nicely about the price difference, she yelled at me. I told her there is no need to yell and offered to show the past ladies receipts that also had a the same dress to be alter. She said that she didn't care about their receipts. Due to the customer service and lack of explaining the up charge, I went to a private alter Mrs. Anne and all went well. As a potential customer, you should not have to accept anyone yelling at you. read more

I love May's Alterations! I frequent this cute little shop everytime I get new jeans and slacks. I'm on the taller side, so I always have the staff here take out the hem at the bottom of my pants to add a little extra length. I've also brought in two of my favorite pair of jeans. With both pair, I had accidentally ripped a rather large whole in just below the zipper while I was helping a friend move. (Embarrassing right?! )The staff here fixed these jeans up good as new, and the jeans were ready to wear in the same day. Truly flawless work! You couldn't event tell there was once a huge gaping hole in them. I've also taken a few of my formal dresses here. One dress, a floor length formal gown, I had the staff convert into a fun-flirty cocktail style dress. And in the second dress I had a few "bones" (corset like pieces that add structure to a dress and your figure) installed to help the girls stay up in my sassy strapless bridesmaids gown. The after effect of this installment was a very happy and comfortable Brittany, a happy bride, and great pics in my super fly bridesmaid dress. I have always been very pleased with May's quality of work and their customer service and I will continue to use their great services. She's very slick. She changes prices every time you go to her for the same job. Shes a nice lady, but that's how she gets you, with her kindness. She actually over charges customers. She loves to request something that you don't need or did'nt ask for. It's best to keep your receipt from when you first went to her, and show it to her every time you carry another item for her to fix, because if you don't, she's going to sneak, and change the price. She try getting over on customes so much, that the work sometimes doesn't come out right. She have put a cuff in 4 pairs of my pants, and they're always a little to short so I just pop the cuffs out, and it looks better. I'm done with her. We as customers need to stop her from ripping us off. She can only do what we allow her to do. read more

Giving it a one star only because I have to choose a star to give a review. If I could give negative stars, I would! I've come here several times for service and as long as they dont make a mistake, everything is fine. Because of the language barrier, the owner misinterpreted what I wanted done to my material and completely ruined it. I came back to the store with a very pleasant attitude to see how I could salvage my project and she had the worse attitude! She was extremely rude, she kept blaming me for her error saying "that's what I asked for" and when I told her lets just fit it...she kept repeating "more money" over and over again! I ended up saying nevermind, I'll figure out something else and she said whatever and just flipped her hand as if she doesn't even care.
