Anjou is a beautiful cocktail bar in the charming dainty neighborhood of Walnut Hills. On a warm evening, Anjou props open their windows making the whole place hip and relaxing. I quite enjoyed their light and refreshing Duchess ube cocktail. Paid parking can be conveniently on the same street.

Some of the best people in walnut hills. If you don't see your drink they can create it. They have some of the best bartenders and the best service. And the ambiance is gorgeous , so much so I used their decorator to wallpaper my work office. This is a great space for cocktails and make new friends. I frequent here more than I post. I you should do yourself a favor and pay them A visit.

I had seen photos of Anjou's cute decor online so was excited to see it was two doors down from a restaurant we ate at recently! The decor is a fun combination of black & white, with splashes of bright yellow. Lots of fun instagrammable areas for photos with your cocktails. Our server was friendly and helpful when we were trying to choose what cocktails to order. We were with a group of 4 who all ordered different drinks, that were all very tasty! ...and pretty! I love a pretty cocktail! One little extra positive thing to note: as we were leaving, at least 3 employees looked up from the bar and said goodbye and thanks for coming in! Little touches like that really stand out!

You absolutely want to have a craft cocktail...or three...at Anjou. Just back from a fun little bar crawl where we hit up this spot and a few other local places in the same block, and I have to say (que the Arnold Schwarzenegger voice): I'll be back. I walked in to the scent of fresh herbs, many of which feature prominently in this establishment's cocktail lineup. I lucked out getting a server named Cara (super-cool frames on her glasses, very becoming!) who clued me into the fact that there were off-menu drinks. I love a hidden menu, so I enjoyed TWO!!! My first was the "Naked and Famous," a non-grapefruit version of one of their standard cocktails. My second was the spicy version of the Bill Murray, and it was stellar! This is a new spot in the area and I can honestly say I think it's here to stay. The staff is young, there's a trendy vibe, there's a great cross-section of Cincinnati frequenting the place, and the cocktails are beyond delicious. Even better, there's a Happy Hour during the week that features a 25% discount on each cocktail. I'm no mathematician, but that sounds to me like every four drinks I get one is essentially free. Don't correct me if my math is wrong, just let me enjoy it...much like you will.

Anjour might be the prettiest bar I have ever been to. I loved every bit of the vibe and decor from the second I stepped inside. It was quiet and chill and a great spot for a late night chat with friends. I am a mocktail girl, so I was pumped to see some awesome-sounding mocktails on the menu. I settled on the Schamer '94 and loved every delicous sip of it. The server was kind and chatty. I absolutely recommend some after dinner drinks at Anjou!

This is a sleek craft cocktail place whose design and aesthetic matches the exquisite quality of its cocktails. Seriously, this place is up there with some better known venues around the country. The Benedetto Alfieri with its "savory side" of bell pepper, shallot and basil, alongside the herbal liqueur, Italian amari, pisco and gin, is one of the most interesting I've had this year. That alone is worth the visit. Another round please!

This is my favorite bar period. We have many choices in the city but I choose Anjou! I absolutely love the staff. They are always welcoming, always helpful, and so cool to chat with. The drinks are amazing, very unique , each with a special something. Stopped in on a Saturday with my son. We stayed for a couple of hours talking with staff and other patrons. Recently stopped in after menu update with a friend who had never been in, and she liked it as well. It's a simple but beautiful space. The pops of color against the black and white is gorgeous. We visited Anjou for a Mixology 201 class! We graduated from 101 in Oct last year and came back for more! As you enter the beautiful space, you are greeted by the highly knowledgeable bar staff with a specialty cocktail. We sipped on 'A Ghost of Time' and 'Killing Moon' as the rest of the class arrived. The 101 class taught us shaking & stirring techniques, basic cocktail recipes and how to start a home bar. This week at the 201 class we learned flavor balancing, history of commonly ordered cocktails and even got to design our own! Our cocktail, The 'Joe Brrrr' was a twist on a Negroni! We played around with different flavors until we landed on the right balance - Gin, Pisco, Benedictine, Lillet Blanc, Grapefruit bitters expressed with an orange peel. Both classes include a sampling of a variety of ingredients such as liquors, liqueurs, bitters, and amaro. You gotta use all 5 senses when trying these! We're not kidding when we say the Anjou bar staff know their stuff. The owner, Wolfe is an encyclopedia of knowledge and his passion for craft cocktails shines through at these classes as he is always willing to teach you everything there is to know!

Outstanding cocktails at this chic bar. A bit of a Parisian flair with floral art accents, dim lights, and candles. The place is spacious yet cozy and inviting. We sat at the bar to watch drinks being made and chat with the friendly staff. Service was quick and the menu options were great. Grab a paper menu to see the drink descriptions with a little photo next to each. It may help you decide what to order. They even had a special 'Dry January' menu of mocktails. I must say the mocktails are just as tasty as any regular drink. Pricing is great too with cocktails at $12. They have seating for two near the front and can accommodate larger groups in the back. No parking lot so you will need to find street parking or a lot.

I walked past this little gem before they opened a few months ago and fell in love with the decor. The owners are so nice. They invited us in back then tot ale a look around. Smart decision on there part because I decided right then that I'd be back once they opened. When I finally made it in, I loved. I got the chance to catch up with an old friend while enjoying creative, fresh, craft cocktails with creative names and an impressive history. The menu is a QR code on the back of the coasters. I loved that the images of the drinks on the menu include the precise details that the bartenders add. Nice touch!! I had the "Bill Murray" and the "A Ghost of Time" cocktails. The Bill Murray was refreshing, almost like a fresh margarita but a bit more tangy and with hints of pineapple and mango. A Ghost of Time was interesting due to its initial fruity flavor that turned into a smoky kick from the mezcal. I enjoyed both drinks and definitely felt a bit buzzed after 2 drinks. It may seem a bit pricey but for what you get, it's quite nice. I went around 7pm on a Tuesday and they were pretty busy but still had a bit of space for my friend and I. This is one of the best if not THE BEST cocktail bar in Cincinnati. My date and I tried 4 cocktails and all were very balanced and +++ points for nice presentation. I tapped out at 2 cocktails but definitely will be back to try more. Most of the cocktails are very good adaptations of classics (Aviation, Naked & Famous, etc.), and there are a few unique ones I did not get to on the menu. A+ for a fun, stylish environment that makes you feel like you are in a cocktail mecca like New York or New Orleans. I hope to return soon and update this review to officially declare Anjou as the indisputable BEST cocktail bar in Cincinnati. read more

You must check this place out. This may be the new "IT" place for cocktails in town. I really wanted to try every cocktail on their list, but decided that will have to wait for a few return trips. The cocktail that we did get were a perfect blend of flavors and alcohol, with beautiful garnishes to bring the effect together. They have a nice list of beer and wines we didn't get to explore. Check out Anjou for a few pre-dinner cocktails, post-dinner cocktails, or rent the space out for a private event. Whatever you need to do to make sure you get there a spread the word. We will definitely be back. read more

I have been dying to try out Anjou and my birthday seemed like the perfect chance to do that. My sister and I arrived and there were plenty of tables. The bar and decor immediately caught my attention-a really welcoming vibe! We took a seat at a small table and a server came over and informed us that they had a list of specialty cocktails. I opted for the one with mezcal and my sister went for the one with gin-both delicious! For our Second cocktails we decided to get a little bit adventurous. Neither of us are bourbon drinkers and we really don't like dark alcohol, but we chose the café Elena and the carvers secret. Both were so some of the best cocktails I have ever had! The flavors complemented each other so well, and were perfect for a winter day. Service was also exceptional. Friendly and well informed about the drinks. They also gave great recommendations. Can't wait to make a trip back with more friends! read more

Tonight was my first time at these cozy spot in Walnut Hills. I went with two close friends and we had an amazing time! They had a large variety of unique house cocktails but also had many wines and local beers available as well. I got the She Wolf and the Bill Murray (as pictured). The She Wolf was a beautiful lilac hue that did not disappoint when it came to looks or flavor. With a giant rose-shaped ice cube as the centerpiece and a lovely floral and tart flavor, I thoroughly enjoyed this beverage. The Bill Murray tasted like a standard pineapple margarita which is by no means a bad thing, it just didn't particularly stand out to me. I will definitely be back to check out the rest of their extensive menu. I highly recommend going out of your way for this stylish and chic, yet cozy alcove of Cincinnati. read more

I'm so glad we made it into to Anjou to end the night of birthday celebration. The inside of the cocktail bar is so chic and fun. Our servers indulged in our questions and jokes and we had a great time with them! I had the Bill Murray and it was delicious. All of the cocktail are gorgeous! I am not afraid to say that I think this is the best cocktail bar in the city. Anjou is bringing NYC cocktail vibes to Cincy at a fraction of the price. This place is a gem! I met up with a friend on a Thursday evening and we were able to get a table right away. Service was spectacular! Both bartenders greeted us and checked in while we were there. The bartender that served us gave great recommendations on their cocktail menu based on our preferences. To top of off, I didn't realize I had dropped my credit card in the booth, and when leaving one of them ran out to bring it to me! Drinks- we tried the She wolf, Benedetto, and Bill Murray. All of them were phenomenal! I especially loved the Benedetto - very unique with the bell pepper. read more

This is a beautiful new bar in East Walnut Hills. The drinks are really cute, the atmosphere is clean and modern, but what stood out to me the most is the service. Everybody was attentive, personable, and all around awesome. I definitely recommend this bar if you haven't been already, and I already look forward to my next visit. read more

Egg Benedict/poached dishes were well done, the Uova dish was good and unique. chicken and waffles were really good as was the burger (got it medium, was good decision). Looking forward to coming back and trying the dinner menu plus more cocktails.
