I ordered a whole rotisserie. I was charged $15.43 cents for it (I'm not sure I was charged for a half chicken plate or a full rotisserie). I was given a half chicken plate. I even called beforehand to phone order it in advance but the owner said to just come in. The man handling the register seemed new because he didn't know what dish to tell to the cooks. Apparently him saying "whole chicken plate" which isn't even a menu item means to the cooks that they need to make a half chicken plate. Comments to management: please train your staff better. The food is good but this experience was frustrating because at the very least, if I'm ordering directly from the menu and ask for something directly from the menu (no changes or special requests), I can at least expect that, right? read more

Good food the lady was nice I ordered four beef kebabs, small rice, hummus and salad. Janis were good, rice even better but the salads are so plain: lettuce, tomatoes and tiny sprinkle of feta cheese. No red onions and I got 3 tiny slivers of black olives. A real Greek salads adds big plum entire olives not these miniature slices from a can! The hummus is plain so I had to add paprika at home. Best dish was the rice but all four kabobs pretty small. I can understand people's low score for customer service. Being that they are family run, with basically one person in the front to handle all of the orders/communication in the restaurant and over the phone, it's difficult to expect them to be everywhere at once. To their credit, they were patient with us when we were deciding our order. The food tasted fairly good, but either we came at a bad time or the presentation made it seem like it wouldn't taste so good haha. Main drawback is the menu not being up to date, and a little bit confusing. Price is also a bit high for what you get, but again, not un-understandable. Chicken: I was disappointed with the first bite but it got better with every bite. It melted in my mouth. The chicken at Ani's is fairly consistent. The Greek Salad is very good. If you are into Hummus, this is the place to get it. I normally order several large sides of hummus and pita to take home. I often top my salad with their hummus as well. They rice pilaf is a bit oily, so I normally swap it with a different side dish. read more

Apparently quite a few people at work like to order from here. They wanted to host a group lunch meeting and had me order and pick up the food. I order the food and told them exactly what time I wanted to pick it up and even had a buffer of time in case it took a little longer. I go to pick it up and the owner says it's not ready yet. Okay, I can wait a few minutes. My pick-up was at 12:45. I wanted to get it to the office by 1:15. I thought I might even have time to get gas on the way back. No way, it was busy and the owners decided to do everything pretty much to order. Well, I should've picked it up at 12:30 if I knew that. While I waited and waited, I can see how the owner treated his staff and some customers. Other customers were skipped on their order and instead of apologizing, he'll just say "ok ok it's coming". The cashier was a really nice guy and was a helpful buffer between the older owner and the customers. The owner would even tell the cashier "don't give too many things for free" if someone asks for more bread or more plastic ware. It was a little uncomfortable hearing this in a small restaurant. Luckily, their food speaks for itself. I would go back and interact with the cashier, who even brought the food to my car. Hopefully, I don't have to deal with the owner too often. The place is still packed though. And the catering portions were generous. No leaks in my trunk either. Thank goodness. read more

Also very bad was the plastic container of garlic sauce was sitting inside the hommos, sorry that's not acceptable. Also bad was there was almost an inch of vinegar like dressing in the small salad, it was basically uneatable. The meat was dry, over cooked and not tender. On a $10 meal, that's a 20% markup for a credit card transaction for something that costs them less than 2% in credit fees.
