Outstanding experience. We had found a TON of feces in our yard, clustered in an a few specific…read moreareas. Seemed most likely a raccoon latrine. We reached out to Critter Control and they offered to come out that day. I couldn't make the appointment, but they came the next day and evaluated the area, noting where the raccoons were likely coming from. They set up a trap in the most affected area. We caught a poor local cat the first time and they released it. Then caught three raccoons. They're responsive, professional, and do a great job. Highly recommended! PSA: don't mess around with raccoons. I'm a biologist and discovered that a lot of raccoons in the area have a parasitic roundworm. Eggs can live in the soil for two years. Resistant to bleach, ethanol, cleaners, etc. Almost the only way to kill the eggs is to heat them to 143ºF/63ºC. A weed torch (being careful around any flammable structures) or boiling water can be helpful.

Wildlife technician David came to our house and performed an assessment to determine possible entry points that needed to be repaired. I completed assessments with multiple companies and decided on Critter Control because David was so kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough with his work (kudos to you David!) He was happy to answer all my questions and it really put me and my family at ease. His assessment report was so detailed and we were quoted such a great price compared to other companies. Their process is straight forward, they are transparent with their costs and don't try to push additional services that you don't need. We finished our repairs a couple of weeks ago and we went from hearing movement in the attic every single day to pure silence. As someone with a severe phobia of rodents, thank you David and the front office team for your help! I can finally sleep peacefully at night. P.S. I hope we never have pest issues again but if we do, we 100% will be using Critter Control

Rodent Roundup - Matt going up attic

Based on the sound and location, I was convinced there was a rodent trapped somewhere in the vent ducting or microwave housing. Matt helped me uninstall the microwave and take it outside so we could carefully investigate what was going on. Throughout the entire process, Matt was upbeat, collaborative, and delightfully easy to work with. One thing I especially appreciated was Matt's friendly and humorous demeanor during the troubleshooting process. When we opened things up and failed to find any droppings or evidence of a rodent, he mentioned that he was beginning to wonder if something else could explain the scratching noise that I heard, which turned out to be exactly right. After partially disassembling the microwave outside, we discovered that the "rodent" was actually a large Longhorn beetle inside the microwave housing making scratching noises that sounded a lot like a rodent. What could have been a stressful and frustrating experience turned into something unexpectedly funny thanks to Matt's calm demeanor, good humor, and collaborative spirit. I was genuinely grateful for his help and would absolutely work with him again.

I was a Presto Pest Control customer for about three years. Our regular technician, Brian, was…read moreconsistently helpful, but my October 13, 2026 interaction with the owner/operator, Jim Rossi, was extremely disappointing. Jim called around 8:30 a.m. to arrange an additional backyard ant treatment around 9 a.m. I said I could be home by 9 or 9:05. When I started explaining that the technician would need to enter the backyard through the house, Jim interrupted me and, as I recall, said, "Stop! Stop talking." When I objected to being addressed that way, he responded, in substance, that it would be my last service. I did use profanity before ending the call, and I have no reason to deny that. It was a reaction to being spoken to disrespectfully and threatened with the loss of service for objecting to that treatment. I then texted Jim that no technician should come. He replied that service had already been canceled, and wrote, "All of our calls are recorded." I did not receive any notice prior to or during the call that the call was being recorded, which is quite concerning for any California consumer. I stand by my objection to the way Jim spoke to me. Any reasonable person treated that way during a routine service call would understandably be upset and might react strongly. Customers are entitled, at a minimum, to expect basic courtesy and respect. Based on my experience with the owner, I would not use Presto again.
