So awesome! The waitress Chrissy was awesome! She took care of our large group, was super helpful as may of us have never been here and the food was great! The food will be spicy if you want any spice! Otherwise get the "me no likey spice" great for large groups! Chrissy also got us to go cups and had us all set!

Shrimp and crab combo with traditional boil - medium spice!

After a couple of visits to the Phoenix location of ACS, my daughter has become a big fan of the seafood boil. Since her birthday is coming up, I allowed her to choose a dinner destination after her soccer practice the other night... and sure enough, this is where we went! Matthew was our server and he was great. We found this location cleaner and the staff more attentive here than the other location. We enjoyed our meals... I had the shrimp crab combo with rice and veggies and my daughter had the shack trio with an extra lobster tail. She is an expensive date, but worth the splurge every now and then for sure! We'll be back!

Our first lunch today at Angry Crab Shack was even more delightful than expected. Great, friendly service, piping hot food and a fun, laid back family atmosphere. My wife ordered the lunch combo with corn, potatoes, crab and shrimp. I enjoyed a pound of live crawfish (in season now through June) with new potatoes and of course, hush puppies (WITH butter as intended!). Everything was cooked perfectly, we wore our bibs and appreciated the scissors and shell-crackers. NOTE: it's SPICY! (which we so prefer). Their heat scale is 0-5, we ordered 2 and it was perfectly hot. Also appreciated the 'hand washing station,' as something often overlooked. We will be back!

Lunch menu with pre inflation prices? This place has you covered! I got the lunch fish and chips basket for takeout and it was delicious. All the lunch options come with a fountain drink as well. The cod was crispy and so were the seasoned fries. I can't want to go back to try other items. The ambiance seems relaxed and fun for those who want to dine in. I also saw that they have reasonably priced items and drinks for happy hour too.

Yummy- let's get cracking!!

Darling atmosphere when you walk in- looks like a wharf or fishing company kinda look! We had a great server- can't recall his name or I would certainly mention him! Was helpful with Menu and selections! Our food came promptly and was presented in a Fun manner- especially if you get the Boil with goodies you choose!! It was excellent- it was an $80 lunch...but, it was worth it and we were celebrating a special day. Thanks Angry Crab- we will definitely be back for another celebration of Seafood!! Yum!!

King Crab

Our server was so kind and nice.. they ran out of snow crab and she hooked us up with king crab and a bit extra for the charge of snow crab. Was very attentive to our needs especially since I had my 2 year old with me. Thank you so much will definitely be back very soon

Came in last night, Wednesday, Sept. 11th for a late dinner. Really impressed with the service (waitress:Becky) who patiently explained the boils and options. My daughter and I ended up with catfish basket and twin lobster rolls. Appetizer of raw oysters too. It was all amazing.

Food was really good and service was great. At first I was like why are they taking us to the bar section to eat but the bar person was great!

The menu I DON'T GIVE A F*@K is so cool and fun. Plus the wonderful birthday menu with your name is exciting. I enjoyed the ambiance it was dark and sexy. It was classy and the table setting was beautiful. There were some cool black and white photos on the walls. The decor is not too over the top. It's visually appealing and pleasing. My waiter Robert was poised, professional and precise. He was polite, attentive and friendly. He was a wonderful waiter. I love excellent customer service. Food was good overall no complaints. I enjoyed the fancy wedge salad. The wedge toppings were crispy bacon, red onions, blue cheese, tomatoes & ranch dressing . The lobster dumplings were different not my favorite, but not bad. They have potential, but something was missing. The sauce they were sitting in was flavorful. The adult drinks were good overall. My birthday welcome cocktail and refreshing sorbet dessert with a candle at the end of my meal was a cute treat and surprise. Definitely make a reservation! I felt they were organized and everything went smoothly. I appreciated the whole experience and left feeling happy and satisfied. I want to try happy hour in the future. It was a great way to kick off my birthday! Definitely top tier service!

I picked the perfect place to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday at an exquisite restaurant and what…read morea fantastic dinner it was! My boyfriend is a hardcore foodie, so we're always looking for an experience that delivers on both food and service, and Ocean 44 did not disappoint! Of course, we had to start with drinks! I ordered a dirty gin martini with blue cheese olives, and my boyfriend went with an exquisite Old Fashioned. Both were a great way to kick off the evening. For appetizers, we ordered the Rhode Island shrimp and calamari, and everything was delicious! The homemade aioli sauce was SO good and paired perfectly with the seafood. And let's talk about those fresh crescent rolls! They were the perfect addition to the start of our meal. For our entrées, my boyfriend ordered the bone-in Iberico pork chops, and I had the butter-poached Maine lobster tails. Both were phenomenal, but I have to say, those pork chops stole the show! They were incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed them, and as someone who takes his food seriously, that says a lot! My butter-poached Maine lobster tails were delicious as well and made for a wonderful entrée. We also shared the whipped praline sweet potato, blistered shishito peppers, and roasted Brussels sprouts for the table. Everything complemented our entrées beautifully, and I loved being able to sample a little bit of everything. A huge shoutout to our server, Rojo, who made the evening even more special! Rojo was attentive, warm, and genuinely caring throughout our dinner. He made sure we were well taken care of without making us feel rushed, and that personal touch really added to the experience. Celebrating a birthday here felt special, and the service was just as impressive as the food. Ocean 44 definitely made a great impression on us. Between the expertly prepared dishes, delicious cocktails, and outstanding service, it was a birthday dinner worth remembering. We'll absolutely be back to explore more of the menu. There are still so many things we want to try! If you're a foodie looking for an elevated dining experience, Ocean 44 is definitely worth checking out. And if you get Rojo as your server, you're in great hands!

Stephen Dean, the manager at Ocean 44, actually sent me a $75 giftcard after seeing my previous…read morereview so that was a really kind gesture!! My boyfriend and I came back last night and even though it was a busy and packed Saturday night we were seated immediately as walk-ins at the high top bar. This place was poppin! There were so many parties getting cocktails around us. We were offered the water options of bottled sparkling, bottled still, and house filtered and even the option of a dark napkin cloth or their standard white napkin cloth. The person next to us was eating the Collosal Shrimp Cocktail and the shrimps looked HUUUUGE so we had to get it. They charge $13 per shrimp so we ordered 2 each for a total of 4, the Pacific Yellowtail Hamachi, the Wood Fired Spanish Octopus, Loaded Baked Potato, and the Cookies and Cream Cake for dessert. We were served the chilled and raw seafood dishes before the cooked and baked dishes which is the best way to enjoy your meal (light to heavy). First up was the Collosal Shrimp and they were MASSIVE!!! I included a photo with my index finger for size reference. They came with cocktail sauce, spicy mustard, and "atomic" horseradish. My preference was mixing the horseradish with the cocktail sauce. Both my boyfriend and I were highly impressed by the Collosal Shrimp, 10/10. The Pacific Yellowtail Hamachi came up next and this was also another favorite of the night. The yellowtail slices were large and they actually wrapped around thin slices of heart of palm (artichokes) and topped with something crunchy which gave it a nice contrasting texture against the soft and smooth yellowtail. I really loved the added ponzu and wished there was more of it, 10/10. Next up was the Wood Fired Spanish Octopus which was cooked to perfection, it was soft and did not have a chewy/rubbery texture. It came with fingerling potatoes, roasted tomatoes, and chopped up bacon bits in the creamy sauce. But the creamy sauce it came in lacked citrus to brighten up the dish. We actually asked for a lemon to squeeze over it. I think I've come to the conclusion that I don't like creamy sauces with my seafood since I didn't enjoy the spicy mustard with the Collosal Shrimp and also the creamy sauce with the Octopus. I give it 7/10 but my boyfriend gives it 8/10. Lastly for the savory dishes came the Loaded Baked Potato. It came pre-built with butter, cheese, thick cut bacon, chives, and a side of sour cream. I liked the sour cream so much that I asked for more, and the bar back dropped everything he was doing to go grab me some. The service here is UNMATCHED, I've never had a request fulfilled so quickly!! We wrapped up our dinner with the Lou Lou's Cookies and Cream Cake which was also massive. It was like a bougie ice cream sandwich with beautiful peaks of cream which I had assumed was a not-so-sticky and not-too-sweet marshmellow. We were so full though we took half of it home. My boyfriend and I both agreed that this time the entire experience (and our food selection) was way better!! Not to say our first visit was anything less than amazing, we still had a great experience then but this time around it was S-Tier and magical!!

For a little less than a year, my boyfriend and I have said if we make it to our one year of dating…read morethen we'd book our anniversary at Grand Hyatt Scottsdale to try both Richard Blais' restaurants as we are fans of Next Level Chef. On the day of our anniversary, we booked La Zozzona after dining at Tiki Taka the night before (see other page for review). What We Ordered: - Beginning Toast: we tried a lovely brut to toast with, and greatly appreciate the sampling even if we both settled on ordering cocktails instead. - Bread Service (focaccia): we both loved the bread service, and I really enjoyed the rosemary on top. - Classic Negroni: my boyfriend said it was very good, and one of his favorites that he has had dining out with me. - Grey Goose Martini with Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives: my usual is a dirty martini, so I decided to order as they had blue cheese stuffed olives. I started with grey goose, and it was a great martini. - Belvedere Martini with Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives: after my first, I switched to Belvedere as I wanted to determine if I liked Grey Goose better. The jury is still out as both make a great martini, though I forever love Double Cross Vodka that is found at Carthay Circle in Disney's California Adventure. - Crispy Mozzarella: to begin the meal, we started with this as I love cheese and what's not to love about a giant mozzarella stick?! The batter was seasoned well, and was complimented deliciously by the marinara served on the side. - Raviolo, spinach artichoke, crispy shallot butter sauce, cured yolk: our server suggested, though we both didn't particularly care for. We believe it was possibly the cured yolk that was off putting. It's a pass for next time, but we understand it was just not our flavor palate as it was executed well. - Rigatoni "alla Zozzona": A house speciality, so we had to order to try. My boyfriend chose this as his dish and I tried a few bites. Definitely a delicious dish, and he was very pleased with choosing this one. - Dry Aged New York Strip Steak: My choice and don't regret the $110 price tag one bit. This is the dish of ingredients sourced from the top kitchen if this was Next Level Chef. The demi-glace was decadent and rich. It paired beautifully with the steak, and loved the potato purée. Always see purées on Next Level Chef, and other cooking shows, so it was great to see one executed to this caliber. It truly complimented the dish and paired nicely with the roasted carrots and snap peas. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dish if you dine here. - Tiramisu: To end on a sweet note, we were intrigued by table side tiramisu as we've had at a different restaurant where they assembled it entirely at your table. This is just scooped from a tray, so the experience was a little disappointing. The flavor of the tiramisu was very coffee forward, so it was still a hit. - Complimentary Anniversary Gelato (Strawberry Shortcake): This came out with a sparkler and an adorned with a beautiful piece of chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary." Though both of us aren't fond of Strawberry Shortcake, we enjoyed the beauty of this dessert and appreciate the gesture. Shout out to Robert and the other staff who made our anniversary feel extra special. If this was Next Level Chef, they would earn the immunity pin! What a beautiful dining room, exceptional dining experience, and incredible service team. One of my top five dining experiences in the last decade - thank you! Our one year anniversary will be hard to top, so perhaps this will become our yearly spot.

The menu claims the pasta is house-made, but it tasted more like boxed pasta than anything freshly made. Worse, nearly every dish lacked flavor. Nothing stood out, and everything felt bland and forgettable. The gnocchi was especially strange, it had the texture and flavor of stale bread, making it one of the oddest gnocchi dishes I've ever eaten. Across the board, the food felt uninspired and poorly executed. Given that Richard Blais' name is attached to this restaurant, I expected much more. Based on this experience, it's hard to believe he had much involvement in developing the menu.
