I visited for a quick lunch. The server was friendly but he was the only one working during lunch hour. I had the lemongrass soup which was very tasty and the drunken noodles with chicken. The menu stayed it was spicy but it was not. The noodles were clumped together and offered very little taste.

We were excited finding this place near Pittsburgh! And after experiencing an outstanding dining experience, this will be a regular stop for us! With an array of differing menu options, it was actually hard for us to pick out the entrees that we wanted to try out. Rest assured, everything we've ordered came out well presented, and absolutely delicious. The dining area offers a good dining ambience atmosphere. It is well decorated, and seating was spacious and comfortable. Serving staff was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend giving this place a try!

This Cambodian place has been serving up Thai & Cambodian food for two decades. The servers are very nice and patient. We weren't hurried along over the two plus hours we were there. And we enjoyed our BYOB wine without corkage fees. The Spring Roll was fresh however lacked much shrimp and basil which was similar to the other dishes we tried - low on protein. Granted, many Asian foods use protein as a flavor enhancer rather than a prime component but these dishes really need one more handful of protein to really make them shine. The Fried Calamari was dredged in a heavier lemon pepper type breading and was likely frozen product and the dipping sauce was nice. Our mains included Japanese eggplant chicken, seafood combo, and green curry noodle chicken that came with super sweet curry sauce that overpowered everything and limp vermicelli noodles with tons of green and red peppers and very little mushroom, cabbage or chicken. The Japanese eggplant chicken was not overly flavorful and included red and green peppers. The seafood combo included shrimp and mussels out of their shell which likely means they were frozen. The staff and owners are lovely people and they had a decent crowd for a rainy Saturday night.

Two giant thumbs up with a beaming smile for Angkor! We were rejected from Sarafino's on a busy Friday night despite our good looks (haha) and serendipitously found Angkor. I had heard of Angkor through many raving reviews on the Pittsburgh foodies facebook page so when we passed this joint, I screeched on my brakes. It was surprisingly empty on a Friday night but I could hear the phone off the hook with take-out orders. We were sat immediately and attended to promptly. We asked for suggestions and went with C13 Lock Lack, C14, & Crunchy Green Bean with Chicken. All I can say is, wooowwwww. It was 10/10 amazing. This place is a gem and I can't wait to come back! I'm so excited to explore the menu. Thanks for an amazing meal!

Quickly one of my favorite restaurants. All the staff is so kind and the restaurant has a nice, calming ambiance. The food is all delicious and it's great for take out. My favorite thing to get is the short ribs

I didn't expect much but this place had some great reviews. We went and had the Fried Rice with chicken, General Tso's chicken and the Drunkin' Noodles. All of the portions were big enough for two to share so there were a lot of leftovers. I would have rated it a 5 except both the General Tso's chicken and the noodles were listed as two (out of three) for spiciness but were both disappointingly mild. The other issue was the service. There was a "HELP WANTED" sign in the window and boy, did they need it! One guy rushed around to take phone orders, serve food, get drinks, ring up bills and pass out menus to walk-ins. In other words, service was below par and we had to wait a long time for our food to be served. But the food itself was top notch and I would go back again to try some of their Cambodian dishes which you don't see offered in very many Asian restaurants. I would recommend it but hoe they get some help soon.

A wonderful restaurant. Beautifully decorated inside, very classy. Several altars are inside plus giant wood carvings that are stunning. My friend Anne brought me here for lunch. She's gluten-free, so we each got something with no wheat noodles. I got chicken and rice with pineapple sauce and vegetables, which I believe was like the Vietnamese Bun dishes. My friend ordered a dish with lots of vegetables with rice in a lemon grass and coconut milk dressing. I got the jasmine iced tea, which was lovely. And we were each provided with a cup of soup, which was also coconut and lemon grass with mushrooms. Our server was very nice and quiet. We had so much fun having lunch together. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommended! Amazing food. Great service. Nice Ambiance. I just wish there was a better desert selection during winter time.

Charming restaurant inside a strip mall-- though we did takeout it would have been a pleasant for dine-in. Service was quick-- as most customers on a Saturday night seemed to be? Food was homey-- not spectacular but felt like home cooked Thai/Cambodian. Flavors were kinda too similar-- not really sure which items were which. But tasty

We had a horrible culinary experience the past couple of days driving through West Virginia, Ohio, and western New York. Pittsburgh was our last stop before heading home and Kiin Lao and Thai Eatery made up for all of the culinary disappointment this weekend. Let's talk about the ambiance first. Everything about this restaurant was quite beautiful. When I say beautiful, I don't mean it in an elegant way, but an artsy street vibe way. It is hip, clean, and we'll put together. You can tell a lot of love went into the decorations and into every piece of art on its walls. The service was pretty good. The server herself was attentive when needed and left us alone when needed. The food was AWESOME. We got the papaya combo with the Thum Mak Houng option, curry puffs, grilled pork shoulder with sticky rice, and Pad Gra Prow Street Style. The papaya was "lao-style" made with fermented shrimp paste. If you love deep umami flavors, this is it for you. The papaya salad was pungent and sour and savory spicy and just so satisfying. We asked for a 6/10 spiciness and they came with the heat. The chicken skewers that came with it was flavorful too. A little bit of char on the chicken would've brought it over the top. The curry puffs were so comforting and had that south Asian flavor profile that was very welcomed. The curry and spice blend did not overwhelm the potatoes. Instead it enhanced the earthy potato flavors in the best way possible. The menu said that it came with a cucumber sauce but I don't think we got that. What we got was a more like a honey sauce. The sauce was good in itself but didn't pair well with the puffs. The grilled pork shoulder was delectable. The meat was tender and it was seasoned perfectly. Again, more char on the meat would've brought it to a new level. The only gripe I have with this order was the sticky rice. The amount of sticky rice you get with it was so small I thought it was a joke initially. Nope, it was not! I thought the Pad Gra Prow Street Style was OKAY. I would've made it a little saucier. Despite this, my significant other absolutely LOVED it. Pad Gra Prow was my significant other's favorite dish when she lived overseas. She said that this was the best Pad Gra Prow she has had on this side of the world. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We would definitely come by again when we are back this way.

Overall, the food and service was good. We had red curry, massaman curry, and pad kee mao. I think the red curry was pretty good. We order spice level 7 and probably could have gotten the 8. I'd go for 8 if I ever visit them again. Yeah, it was just a good and decent meal with good service and all. Not very crowded, so I urge people to go if you are in the area.

The filling has more spice forward than am used to-- more of an allspice or anise type flavor? Not bad. Just more prominent. very good soup overall. Lots of green onion. Nice broth. We had the "egg rolls". They are in actuality Cha Gio. Not Chinese restaurant type egg rolls. In other restaurants they are called "spring rolls" (deep fried) . Here apparently the spring rolls are the fresh uncooked rolls. The Cha Gio were good! Note--CASH ONLY. We didn't realize this until we sat down. Fortunately we had enough green paper. And there is an ATM near by per the staff. Also note the prices on the menu are not what they are charging for some things. And things look to have gotten more expensive. As example. The wonton soup is $13 on the physical in restaurant menu but $15 on our bill. And I saw an online picture of the menu of $1.95 for the egg rolls and spring rolls. They are now $6 on the current menu. This is an old school Vietnamese hole in the wall pho place. Paper napkins, plastic chop sticks and vinyl table cloths. 5/5 for what it is. Would definitely return for the Cha Gio. Kid gives thumbs up for the Pho and would Return for that also.

hands down the best pho in the city, maybe the best I've ever had. Service is also really great!read more
