3 stars for lemon grass stir fry beef. The lemon grass stir is not made authentic way. They make with gravy. Traditional lemon grass stir fry doesn't involve gravy. The beef they use is a cheap cut of beef. Krung paste is the foundation of lemon grass stir fry. I did not taste lemon grass, turmeric, galanga nor kaffir leaves. I tasted none of that. I did not taste any prohok ( fermented fish paste) which is the base of this dish. I gave this a 3 star and not lower because even though it was not authentically made, the dish was not bad tasting. I hope they are other items that are more authentic, but the fact that there's even a Khmer restaurant in Palmdale I give kudos too! read more

They got my order wrong, and got the audacity to correct me. The #4 on their menu clearly states "Hu tieu bo vien" which is a beef ball rice noodle soup. This is not pho noodle soup. It's different. I asked for this item and clearly stated "I'd like number 4 please." Yet what they brought out was the special pho bowl with beef, beef balls, and tripe. I did not want pho. And I'm not a huge fan of tripe. I explained that to them. The girl who brought it was confused, which is fine, she was not Asian so perhaps she didn't know the difference. However, the other Asian waitress brought the dish back and told me hu tieu and pho were the same. HOW THE F??? How dare you tell me, a Vietnamese, that pho and hu tieu are the same??? I assumed she might have heard "four" as "pho". Nope. She clearly stated "this is number four. Hu tieu and pho are the same!" I am not blind and I was wondering between the beef ball rice noodle hu tieu, or beef ball egg noodle hu tieu. I decided to go with the first one. Fine. I ate the pho they got me and paid for it in full. But unless they will fix the menu or re-train that waitress, this would be the last time I set foot in here. Too bad, I used to love it so much. P.S. The pho they brought me was mediocre at best. Broth was bland. One good thing was there was a decent amount of beef balls. read more

You have to order your food at the counter first. The food did not taste good. We had pho, ramen and a dumpling soup. The broths all tasted weird. The dumplings were fried and put into the soup vs steamed. The one thing that was good were the spring rolls. Highly disappointed and over priced. So this review is slightly different than normal. We were coming back from a long trip from Lake Tahoe and needed a place to eat on Xmas Eve. Unfortunately most places were closed and Angkor was one of the few Asian restaurants open along the way back to Los Angeles. We phoned in our order and were going to pick it up right when they closed. We were able to pick up the food with no problem at all. They were also kind enough to still treat us well by asking if we needed any amenities and striking a friendly conversation with us which we really appreciated. The restaurant itself looked super spacious with table and bar seating. Food-wise - all the food was solid. The pineapple fried rice was pretty good with a good hot sauce on the side and good slices of pineapple and shrimp among the fried rice. The only slight disappoint was in the spring rolls. Would love more shrimp here. Big thanks again to the restaurant for staying positive and getting us a great order. :) read more

So glad they're open again. Best Phó in the AV. Got the combination Phó with the tripe and tendon which other Phó places don't have. Broth is good and serving is huge.
