Eating here is always a great experience. Their food is the BEST Chinese food in the Antelope Valley right now no one else compares. I often struggle with trying something new because I have come to like certain things that are my favorites now but every time I come in, I try to order one new entrée to my order that's different from what I regularly get. After expressing that we would like regular plates, a slightly disgruntled server brought us plastic plates. This is still not appropriate for the prices they are charging. No one checked on us the entire time, and they seemed annoyed that we wanted or needed anything. They asked, "What?" from across the restaurant and expected us to yell back at them. This restaurant has a pretty classy feel. Interestingly they asked if I wanted my water with ice and/or a lemon only to be served in a paper takeout cup. Anyways I ordered the Beef Singapore Noodles. They came after 10 minutes and I liked them. The noodles are very thin and have a good taste and texture. The beef was moderately tender and doesn't quite have that fast food feeling but is close. They give out good a portion size and a good meat to noodle ratio. The flavor eventually became a bit monotone and they didn't have any sauces or condiments table side. They have a variety of choices here, some are easy to find to any Chinese restaurant, some are authentic dishes that not everywhere will present. I enjoyed their food, large portion, good taste. And their service is always friendly, sometimes, if it's too busy, they are short of hands, but their attitude is always polite. The resturant itself is not too big, about 10 tables. This place has delicious food and deserves a good review. The mapo tofu is excellent and exactly what I expected, and solid with the white rice. Very traditional. Spice level is adjustable. I prefer mine on the spicier side. The drinks are also very good. I like the banana milk and the lychee smoothie! The honey milk tea is also good. I will be trying more of their drinks soon. Snow peas shrimp and spicy wontons are also good. Clean and fresh. The empress chicken is similar to a spicy orange chicken and is very tasty. I was expecting more veggies though instead of just bell peppers and onions. I have nothing bad to say about this place, it's a staple in terms of food for me. Definitely a go to. Edit: the only downside is that every time I try to order the lo mein for delivery, they just give me white rice instead. I went at 12:15 on Saturday afternoon. I was the only one in the entire place. I ordered almond chicken. The price was $19.69 + $1.00 dollar extrafor steamed rice. The dish came on a large plate. It was full of meat, but it was not like any other almond chicken I've ever had anywhere else in fact, there were no almonds in it. It was very good, but nothing like what I expected. The service was fine in the beginning, when I sat down, they took the order. But once he delivered my food, I never saw him. They went in the back. They were nowhere to be found so I had to get up and wander around to ask for a Box so I am saying the service was terrible. I might go back and try a different dish, but I'm not sure. read more

Found this random Chinese place on a road trip, but it seems authentic enough. Was able to order in Cantonese for the most part. We got the Fried Rice and the Chef's special pork. I would have assumed that the pork was the deep fried kind and then tossed in sauce but it wasn't... it was more like char siu which is fine but just unexpected. I love Kirin hut, I'd argue it's the best Chinese food in the AV. But I would be lying if I said it was affordable. One order of sweet and sour chicken and wonton soup will run you around $32 dollars. My other problem is just the time it takes. They will say the order will be ready in 25 minutes for pick up, which is already a long time, but then you get there and wait an additional 15. 40 minutes for two orders, one of which is just soup is kind of crazy. If it wasn't for the kind staff and quality of the food this place would get 1 star in my opinion. So come here when you've got a lot of time and crave good Chinese food, but just know it wont come cheap! read more

Just went for dinner. The atmosphere is nice, staff is friendly. The wait time for dinner was pretty quick. We were absolutely thrown back by the prices of the food but the portions are huge, one $20 entree could feed at least 3 people so we didn't think it was too bad when we split the food. We were also thrown off by the ordering system, they scan the menu on their tablets and you order from it. The tablets weren't working properly apparently so we couldn't order on our own. The picture of the menu and prices of food here on yelp do not match current prices. I gave it a 3 star because the food was decent. You can tell the sauces are house made with the meat. It wasn't a 4or 5 star because the prices of everything is kind of high. We weren't expecting to spend $20 per entree and more for rice. Drinks were not included with the meal. We one $.50 can of coke is $4.00 something crazy like that. Even a kids meal is $15. read more
