If you want to be served expensive, mediocre food on paper plates, with an attitude, this is your place. After expressing that we would like regular plates, a slightly disgruntled server brought us plastic plates. This is still not appropriate for the prices they are charging. No one checked on us the entire time, and they seemed annoyed that we wanted or needed anything. They asked, "What?" from across the restaurant and expected us to yell back at them. There is a charge for everything: rice, noodles, tea. They didn't even have fortune cookies. The food was ok. I would give it 3 stars. Overall review, "Meh." Go have sushi instead. read more

This Chinese restaurant is a gem in the antelope valley. The food has always been A+ and the owner is genuinely set on taking good care of their customers. Super kind people. Went to bible study Wednesday night with my boys, my 7 year old said he wanted noodles this place said its open until 9:30 pm even in the door it says that...we showed up at 9:15pm door was open to walk in I asked are you open the lady said yes. Management said no we are closed. Just being lazy. My son did not get his noodles and I will never go back here again. Horrible service. This restaurant has a pretty classy feel. Interestingly they asked if I wanted my water with ice and/or a lemon only to be served in a paper takeout cup. Anyways I ordered the Beef Singapore Noodles. They came after 10 minutes and I liked them. The noodles are very thin and have a good taste and texture. The beef was moderately tender and doesn't quite have that fast food feeling but is close. They give out good a portion size and a good meat to noodle ratio. The flavor eventually became a bit monotone and they didn't have any sauces or condiments table side. This place has delicious food and deserves a good review. The mapo tofu is excellent and exactly what I expected, and solid with the white rice. Very traditional. Spice level is adjustable. I prefer mine on the spicier side. The drinks are also very good. I like the banana milk and the lychee smoothie! The honey milk tea is also good. I will be trying more of their drinks soon. Snow peas shrimp and spicy wontons are also good. Clean and fresh. The empress chicken is similar to a spicy orange chicken and is very tasty. I was expecting more veggies though instead of just bell peppers and onions. I have nothing bad to say about this place, it's a staple in terms of food for me. Definitely a go to. Edit: the only downside is that every time I try to order the lo mein for delivery, they just give me white rice instead. The most authentic Chinese food you can find in Lancaster. They have a variety of choices here, some are easy to find to any Chinese restaurant, some are authentic dishes that not everywhere will present. I enjoyed their food, large portion, good taste. And their service is always friendly, sometimes, if it's too busy, they are short of hands, but their attitude is always polite. The resturant itself is not too big, about 10 tables. I love Kirin hut, I'd argue it's the best Chinese food in the AV. But I would be lying if I said it was affordable. One order of sweet and sour chicken and wonton soup will run you around $32 dollars. My other problem is just the time it takes. They will say the order will be ready in 25 minutes for pick up, which is already a long time, but then you get there and wait an additional 15. 40 minutes for two orders, one of which is just soup is kind of crazy. If it wasn't for the kind staff and quality of the food this place would get 1 star in my opinion. So come here when you've got a lot of time and crave good Chinese food, but just know it wont come cheap! read more

Found this random Chinese place on a road trip, but it seems authentic enough. Was able to order in Cantonese for the most part. We got the Fried Rice and the Chef's special pork. I would have assumed that the pork was the deep fried kind and then tossed in sauce but it wasn't... it was more like char siu which is fine but just unexpected. Sauce was on the sweeter side as well. The fried rice was decent but just a lot of oil. I would definitely come back here considering where this place is located. It's pretty good. read more

Ok so I did a review a week ago and the food was delicious, I'm now back 6 days later because my daughters LOVED the food from last week and requested it for dinner tonight. This time I was able to add picture before we started eating. We ordered 2 Salt and pepper shrimp(so good we got 2 this time) Shrimp with snow peas Empress shrimp Spicy orange chicken Combination fried rice. ALL of our food was outstanding! This is my new favorite place for Chinese food. It's kinda pricey($120 for this order), but worth it to me for GOOD food. Service was fast and they are always so nice. Honest review: I love the food here at this place, but the customer service is horrible. I went here with a friend who is visually impaired and had recently had some dental work done. We ordered a few items and among them was the spicy shrimp. My friend ate a piece of ONE shrimp before realizing the shrimp was hard shelled and too tough for him to chew. Because he is visually impaired, he couldn't peel the tough exterior off the shrimp either. We explained that to the waiter, who immediately got defensive. He went on about how "no one forced you to order the shrimp." We tried to explain that it was ONLY about my friend's inability to eat the shrimp- not that it tasted bad or that we didn't want it- we just couldn't eat it. The waiter had an attitude and refused to take the shrimp back and remove it from the menu. After that, we didnt even want to eat the rest of our food, so we asked for the check and went to pay. At the register, my friend asked for the shrimp to be removed off the bill again, and the waiter refused again, and with an attitude. He then tells me to call his manager on the phone and if she says he can remove the shrimp off the bill, he will. The manager didn't understand the concept of not charging us for the shrimp at all, but wanted us to pay for the shrimp first, then repay us for it through Zelle- which made no sense. She wouldn't let it go, so we did it her way. She ultimately refunded us for the shrimp, but this was a horrible experience. Despite the food having a good taste, the service is horrible, so we will not patronize this place again. read more

They couldn't give me an estimated time they couldn't tell me if they were working on it. They couldn't tell me how close it was to be done absolutely no communication. Like she wants us to answer her yelling across the restaurant. The food is way overpriced and there's no taste to it. They tried to service us with paper plates and plastic cups etc... Never coming here again, have been watching their prices increase drastically in the last 3 years. Prices are outrageous for the quality and portion of food you get. Tonight was it for me, we got sweet and sour chicken and it was THE WORST sweet and sour chicken I've ever had in my life and now I remember why I didn't return the last year and half because it was like this last time. To top it, this time the wrong type of chicken was used - not the strip type pieces typical for sweet and sour chicken but the type that's used for their orange chicken. I sometimes question what meat is being used because the after taste of their meat has been disgusting almost every visit. We came home saw that the chicken was the wrong style of chicken, still threw it in the air fryer and the amount of oil that was DRIPPING from it in just a couple min of air frying scared me. I tried it and it was not eatable, even my mom tried and she said the same thing. It left a rancid after taste like it's old meat that been fried in old oil and it's like this every time and now to add to the laziness they've started using the chicken used for orange chicken for their sweet and sour chicken. Went straight into the trash - we wasted $20+ on this garbage. read more
