Great little spot in Lancaster. I found myself craving Chinese food and found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Local mom and pop shop, I new from the moment I walked in, I was in for a treat. Great menu with a good variety. I must warn the portions are family style so just be prepared for that. They do have lunch and dinner specials available at certain times for single meals. We tried the orange chicken, Mongolian beef, veggie chow mein, fried rice and some egg rolls and pot stickers. I must say that the orange chicken and veggie chow mein were the stars of the night at a 10/10. The beef, egg rolls and fried rice were good at a 8.5/10. The pot stickers were ok at a 7/10. Service was great and on point. Super appreciated the gentlemen who served us. He checked on us regularly through out the meal and genuinely asked if we liked the food. Well when you know that you can make better Chinese food at home that says enough about this place, and I dont have culinary experience in Chinese food yet only thing that is decent is the make your own stir fry bowl. I decided to give Little Szechwan a try for dinner. I arrived around 6:20 and there was only one other table seated. The sole waiter greeted and seated me right away. Once in my seat I received my menu and water. I ordered the early bird dinner - Hot and Spicy Garlic Shrimp with steamed rice. I asked to make sure it would be spicy. (I like a little kick!). First course.... Egg Drop Soup, and it was flavoured pretty well. Next he brought a freshly fried Egg Roll w/sweet and sour sauce, nothing special but nice to get a roll so fresh. Lastly he brought the shrimp and steamed rice. It was good, but not spicy at all. BUMMER! I had to ask for chili oil or sauce to heat it up a bit. Overall the meal was good, the service was good, and the place was clean and well laid out. Not to mention the place must be pretty popular because when I left around 7:00, there were about ten additional tables seated! We casually stumbled upon this place while trying to escape the rain. Being from San Francisco, it was difficult to find a Chinese place that could satisfy my taste buds. I can't help it though -- being from the Bay Area, I was spoiled left and right with different Chinese foods which were all pretty tasty. But when we found this place, I was so so excited. Note the additional parking lots and structures located on the block if it's crowded. Check out the social distancing signs posted outside as you enter. Admire the careful staff members dutifully sanitizing each table thoughtfully between customers. And just because. Order takeout, pick up and delivery. Take a seat. Interior tables are placed far apart from each other in small alcoves for customer safety. Inside scoop thanks to the owner/proprietor Tom. Tom helped me navigate the menu and my food allergies, he made me a custom lunch special, and offered to make me anything on the menu, (or not yet on the menu!) without wheat, gluten, soy sauce or other ingredient, from scratch. Together,we settled on a healthy all white meat chicken and vegetables dish with steamed white rice. At lunchtime this dish, served with soup, is only $8.25. (Two meals for me.) Horrible customer service! The lady assumed I was ordering for myself and told me I ordered enough food in the middle of my order (I was trying to order for a family of 5)... Then we get the food and the only thing edible was the fried rice. The general tsos chicken had a gross brown paste on it, the fried wontons tastes like pure oil, and the wonton soup smelled and tasted like seaweed. Ugh we definitely won't be back! So gross. Came here the day after Thanksgiving, visiting my mom and she recommended this place. The service was very nice. The restaurant was very clean. The bathroom was in disarray, not dirty. It just needs some repairs, but it was the food for me. I didn't try the beef and broccoli that was my sons I did not like the shrimp and lobster sauce. It didn't have any flavor, neither did the fried rice. The eggroll was pretty tasty. They drop soup was pretty tasty. The orange chicken was really good.
