Absolutely delicious great variety and great service too! We always try something new each visit!

First, I want to point out that I'm very familiar with Thai food--I've eaten at over 100 Thai restaurants across the United States, so I feel like I have a pretty solid baseline when it comes to flavor and quality. With that said, I was sadly disappointed with Shandra Thai. Starting with the Thai iced tea: it wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best. It tasted like it was brewed from tea (which is a plus), but it had way too much milk added, which diluted the flavor. It was also overly sweet. On the bright side, the portion is huge for $8, so it's definitely shareable. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp pad thai, which is a pretty standard dish. It was decent and came with a good amount of shrimp, but the flavor leaned way too sweet for my liking. I ordered the wor wonton soup, and this is where things really went downhill. The broth honestly reminded me of those seasoning packets that come with instant ramen--very salty and lacking depth. It was so salty that I could only manage a couple of spoonfuls before I started to feel sick. I'm also fairly certain the shrimp in the soup was frozen (see photo). It's disappointing to pay $18 for a dish that ends up going to waste. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be coming back. read more

Good food, service might be a bit smoother and restaurant could use a deep clean. Sunday lunch with a 6 person group. Were seated quickly and were giving the menu after a short while. Waitress took our order, but didn't understand that we all asked for waters (only 2 brought). Another waitress gave us cutlery and plates, missing some napkins this time. Spicy chili fried rice and red curry with duck: where was the spice???? We asked for extra spicy on top of the dishes being marked as spicy (waitresses told us it will be Thai spicy), but this was a total miss. No spice/heat at all, and asking 3x for extra spicy sauce, we were ignored. Restaurant floor felt sticky all around, bathroom was not really clean neither. Not sure we will be back! read more

Yummiest Thai food in Palmdale. Staff members are very nice. Cucumber salad is fresh and dressed with plenty of sweet vinegar. Be sure to ask for no or light onions... unless you LOVE onions. There was an over abundance on my order. Red curry with mock dock was delicious. The curry was thinner than most curries I have had, but it did not disappoint on flavor! It was loaded with mock duck and veggies. Brown rice is also perfect! Big-ish dining room, so would be a good place for groups! read more

My friend LOVES this place, and I finally dined in with him last week. It's solid 10/10 Thai food for Palmdale!! I live in NoHo now, so I'm right around the corner from proper Thai Town, and Shandras is really really good!! Their chicken skewers are delicious, and I loved their pad sew mao!! I didn't recognize it after its renovation, I always knew this corner as the Asian market. Been there for years. My late uncle also loved this place... so very happy I finally came to try!! I used to love the quality of food here but recently that has changed. The portions are not only smaller, but there is not enough chicken given. I ordered garlic pepper chicken and all that was on the plate was onion. Upon entering Shandra Thai restaurant, we were immediately greeted by a young lady . We were seated , with menus placed in front of us. Immediately asked for our drink orders. Restaurant is not that big , but cozy enough for a romantic date or a casual lunch/dinner. Clean and inviting environment. Wait time for order was about average. We did not have one server. Seemed like everyone working was assisting in taking orders, bringing out drinks and meals and clearing tables. It was a team effort in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed The food was delicious with flavor. Nice presentation and generous portions. We were a party of two but had enough for 4 people. You are able to pay with a staff or by scanning your bill and pay online. Restaurant is located in a small shopping center. Parking somewhat tight with the possibility of parking at the other end of the shopping center . But not a ridiculous distance . I started with the sweet and sour soup (7 Hot) -- a perfectly spicy, tangy seafood soup that was full of fresh ingredients. For my main, I chose the Pad Thai and Pad Se Yuh, both of which were expertly cooked with just the right balance of spices and freshness. What impressed me most was the friendly and attentive staff, who made sure I had everything I needed and offered great recommendations. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, and the taste was absolutely delicious. Sandra's Thai is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in a cozy setting. Highly disappointed and upset bring the Thai salad back literally like the only thing I ordered

The food was great, I can't say that enough! The place was clean and spacious. The problem here is that the waiter brought our drinks to the table and spilled a whole soda on my wife. He cleaned and apologized, that wasn't the issue. The problem is that we got our bill and nothing was discounted. We didn't ask for anything, but it's the common decency to give the customer a small discount for the accident. Even if it was the mango with sticky rice which was $12, it's not a lot and it would have gone a long way! I would have gave it 5 stars. My entire bill was $106. And I would have left a tip because it would have shown they cared. I hate not leaving a tip but it really rubbed me the wrong way that they weren't considerate about making sure we were happy. read more

Just moved to Palmdale a few months back from the Valley, we finally had the chance to stop by and try the food here! To my surprise it was actually delicious! My husband got the bbq pork noodle soup and I got my pad ew iew. The meat in the pad see iew was very tender and flavorful and not overly sweet. Service was great, they consistently checked our table and refilled my husband's soda. Glad we have this Thai place around the corner from our home! The food was so delicious. I had the drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and it had a nice kick to it at level 10. The staff was so kind and friendly. My only complaint is that the combination beef and shrimp had 2 shrimps in it. Literally 2. As you can see in the photo there is no shrimp to be seen aside from the one in the very corner. The second shrimp was buried deep in the noodles. At least put in 4 because it was so delicious. The server did give me a discount even though I said it was fine and I only pointed it out because I was hoping in the future they would put in more than two for other customers or myself if I come back. The server even offered for some more shrimp on the side so they really did try to make it right. I would totally come back here and try other things on the menu. I bet they are just as delicious. I was eyeing the steamed chicken dumplings but did not have enough room to eat 10 of those plus my noodles. I am not sure if the portion size was actually small or that I ate everything on the plate because it was so delicious? Whatever the reason may be... The flavor of the Tom Yum is amazing. The only problem I have is the portion of the amount of actual meat that they put in it like eight years ago. The soup was like 17 bucks I think and now it's $25 but the amount of meat still the same I can literally go to the fish market on fifth and Palmdale Boulevard and buy $40 worth of stuff to make the same soup and it'll serve like 10 people twice read more

Had this last night and it was our second time eating there. I'd definitely recommend getting the Pad Thai because they use real tamarind! We also really liked the pineapple fried rice. The Pad Thai tastes really authentic and doesn't have that ketchup taste some other places have. The seafood tom yum had a generous amount of seafood in it and flavor was so good! I am so happy to share this place with my friends who visit and several ask for me to place an order when they're in town! I wish they had delivery as I have to go through an expensive third party, but even so it is worth it. Food 5+ stars. Recommend all of it.
