Small Thai Iced Tea
Linette A.

Mango sticky rice is what called my attention, it was good, coconut syrup was a bit too sweet 4/5. The chow mein is either rice noodles or cup noodles, I paid an extra $2 to add 5 small shrimps, 2/5. The chicken fried rice is ok 2.5/5. Orange chicken was a small portion for the cost, very vinegary 3/5. The Thai tea was a bit too sweet but flavor was good 4/5. I ordered takeout.

Paht See-Iw Noodles w/Beef. Delicious and flavorful!

Don't let the Karens in the reviews persuade you, this place is one of the best Thai places you're gonna get in the AV! Their Pad Thai and Paht See-Iw Noodles are sooooo good, very flavorful, not overly greasy like other places and has a good amount of veggies and meat. I've also tried the crispy garlic shrimp and that was super yummy! I thought it was battered but it was sautéed with crispy fried garlic and came with this vinegar-y sauce that was delish, only thing I'd say is that it is a bit overpriced for the amount of shrimp you get. The lady here is also always so nice and attentive. This place is such a nice hidden gem with great food and I definitely would recommend giving it a try.

Got pad thai with beef and Yum Woon Sen Specialty.
Kim L.

Pros: the Yum Woon sen was very good, I would just want it spicer. I'd give it 4 stars just for this item because it was made the way i expected. - love the serving size! Cons; the pad thai was bland and dry. I would have to dine-in to see if it would taste better. I appreciate the large serving but it was a 3 for me.

Chicken pad thai.

My husband and I came here for lunch several days ago and we found it by accident. It's in a shopping plaza and you wouldn't even know it's there as I've driven by it many times. It's definitely a hole in the wall type of place. The service was friendly and they were quite busy for lunch in the middle of the day at 3 o'clock. They do have a lunch special, so I'm assuming that's why a bunch of people were coming in. The food didn't have the nicest presentation, but my goodness, the flavor was there! The chicken satay and the beef satay were thick cuts of meat, and they were very flavorful. Everything did taste authentic and I thought their portions were big, too. I'd come back.

Both vegetarian dishes that were ordered with tofu but were found to contain large chunks of beef.
Sterling M.

I ordered 3 dishes, all vegetarian, all with tofu only. TWO of those THREE dishes had big chunks of beef in them. As a vegetarian, I am disgusted, and that is a huge food safety issue. People have restrictions for a reason. Their food may taste good, but they lacked care for the safety of their customer in TWO of THREE vegetarian dishes, which tells me they just don't care about their customers.

This beef was so tough

Do not order from them through door dash. They will not give you the food you want. They give old, burned food

Food was very good, but I was a little bit surprised that they charged as much as they did for the rice.

I'm updating my review based on the last so many visits! Their food has been very inconsistent!…read moreTheir excuses are they don't have their chef anymore. The new Chef can't cook like the old chef, they went back to Thailand. Or the day we would dine in or pick up their good chef is not there?? We have complained on occasion because the food was not the same and we work hard for our money! There were a few times we went where it was so good it was amazing, but when it's not and your paying the same money it's very disappointing. Tonight we ordered extra noodle in two of our dishes and I made it very clear that we wanted extra sauce. Not only was our dishes bland but they did not give us the peanuts for the pad thai. When I called to tell them about our pickup order, she says don't you have peanuts at home. I said they are in shells we would have to crack them and then crush them. So she said do it?? I didn't just pay $104 for 4 dishes to have to crack peanut shells and crush them to put it on a dish that it should have came with. If they don't want to deal with asking for extra noodles, then they should not take it in the order. Very rude... then she said I have to come in person to get the cash for the Pad Thai dish, we paid by credit card and they are not willing to credit us just for the one dish. They said they don't care about our business, they have plenty of customers, they've been there a long time! That's not how you treat a customer!! The only time they smiled is when I told them that I was giving them a good review in the beginning when I first started going there!! You can tell how the food used to be good by looking at the pictures and comparing and how they look today!

It honestly pains me to write this because this has been our go-to Thai restaurant in the area…read moresince 2024. We've always loved coming here, especially because the servers and the entire staff are consistently so kind and nice to us every time we walk through the door. Unfortunately, over the last few months, we've noticed a dip in quality and service that's getting harder to ignore. Lately, every time we've ordered for pickup, the wait times have been incredibly long--usually stretching close to an hour. For our most recent order, I was told it would be 30 minutes because they only had one cook on staff. We're very understanding, and we actually noticed they only had one cook months ago, too, so it seems like a persistent staffing struggle. However, after calling back to check in, the total wait ended up being nearly 50 minutes. The real disappointment, though, was the food itself. The Pad Thai looked completely unappetizing this time; it had no color, was very dry, and tasted almost bland. It's a far cry from the vibrant, flavorful dishes we fell in love with when we first started coming here. We really want to see this place thrive again. We truly appreciate the lovely staff but we're becoming more hesitant to order. I hope the owners see this and can make some adjustments to the kitchen consistency and staffing, because we'd love to have a reason to come back.

First, I want to point out that I'm very familiar with Thai food--I've eaten at over 100 Thai…read morerestaurants across the United States, so I feel like I have a pretty solid baseline when it comes to flavor and quality. With that said, I was sadly disappointed with Shandra Thai. Starting with the Thai iced tea: it wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best. It tasted like it was brewed from tea (which is a plus), but it had way too much milk added, which diluted the flavor. It was also overly sweet. On the bright side, the portion is huge for $8, so it's definitely shareable. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp pad thai, which is a pretty standard dish. It was decent and came with a good amount of shrimp, but the flavor leaned way too sweet for my liking. I ordered the wor wonton soup, and this is where things really went downhill. The broth honestly reminded me of those seasoning packets that come with instant ramen--very salty and lacking depth. It was so salty that I could only manage a couple of spoonfuls before I started to feel sick. I'm also fairly certain the shrimp in the soup was frozen (see photo). It's disappointing to pay $18 for a dish that ends up going to waste. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be coming back.
