If you're in the desert and longing for a bowl of pho, then this place will do. The food is just plain "ok" but nothing to write home about. I probably wouldn't stop by again unless I was really feening for a bowl of salty soup and noodles.

Friends eating delicious food

We have ised this as our go-to take out for years. So glad they made it through the lockdown!!! Best and most reliable Phô ever. Now my friends and I have been going to eat in!! They have delicious and healthy food. They will customize it for you happily within the options they have there. Their "Bun" plates are big favorites. So are both their Spring Rolls and Egg Rolls. (The best I have ever eaten) They have a Salt and Pepper fried tofu to die for. The ambiance is friendly diner. The customer service is top notch. The food is healthy and so delucious. We spent two hours eating there, and kept ordering new things. I also want to say do not believe the false negative reviews. Look at the reviewer's history for a clue. They are people on a mission of intimidation. Not nice guys.

Salt and pepper shrimp

The pho here is good! Not a lot of choices in the westside of Lancaster but this place will satisfy any pho cravings for sure. I also usually get the salted pepper shrimp and it never disappoints. People claiming that the broth is "oily" probably do not have much experience eating pho. The broth is flavorful and clean. Service is pretty good and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. This isn't Panda Express, the food is made to order. They could do a bit of decorating but I don't go to this restaurant for Mr. Chow vibes (which is overrated if you ask me). Add it to your list of Asian spots in the AV.

#4. Pho steak soup, Pork Gyoza, Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Coffee

I've tried other pho places in the AV and this one is by far my favorite. I usually drive out to LA when I want pho but when I don't want to make the drive I come here and it hits the spot just the same. It's a little hole in the wall and I love it, I usually go alone and the owner and waitress are always super friendly.

Worst bowl of pho i've probably ever had. Broth was very murky, felt like sipping lightly salted meat water. The cuts of flank were very strange to say the least and had lots of cartilage attached. Noodles also had a doughy aftertaste. I know I may be spoiled by my times exploring Garden Grove and Little Saigon. But i've worked at a pho place and it should not take this long (20 minutes!) to put together a bowl for it to come out like this. Keeping two stars because they seem to be short staffed. Hoping they can turn it around soon.

Table across from the window wall and looks like it has mold.

I'm pretty much addicted to the shrimp spring rolls. But everything else is pretty good as well.

Great food but it's annoying they're never open on time. I've waited til 11:30 once and no one ever came to open. Sucks.

It is all made to perfection and there is not one thing we don't love. For about $32 dollars you can get Havana Bites, it is a taste of some of their great items. It comes with Beef & Chicken Empanadas, Papas Rellenas, Platanos Fritos and Yuca Frita all served with Rico Sauce, which is so great. All of their empanadas are great and you can get just one or a bunch. We often get some to take home. The Papas Rellenas is so good and so nicely priced. It is two mashed potato balls stuffed with Cuban picadillo, then breaded and fried to perfection. I love potatoes so I love to get this. We also take these home. They heat up so well. The service is great and they are very friendly. Parking is easy and there is not usually a wait. I am not sure if they take reservations, so call them and check. The place is comfortable and pretty.

First time here as part of a car club run in the area. Cuban cuisine is a top choice on my list of…read moredining experiences. I ordered the Mar Y Tierra which is Rabo Encendido and shrimp served with rice, black beans, and plantains. The Rabo Encendido was actually quite spicy with a pronounced chile kick. (I am used to the dish being more on the savory side rather than spicy.) This was definitely a "tail on fire" experience. The oxtails were tender and plentiful in regard to portion size. There was a good mix of oxtail sizes. As the portion size was generous, there was plenty enough for three meals. Shrimp had a crisp, snappy texture which came with careful preparation in an alkaline solution. This was a good shrimp enhancement. There was an ample portion of shrimp in the dish as well. The black beans had a good flavor but the accompanying steamed white rice could have used a bit of seasoning to overcome the inherent blandness. Plantains were ripe and cooked tender with a caramelization on the edges. Mar Y Tierra was pricey at $49 but the generous portion size of the meal made it a good value. The restaurant itself was comfortable and understated in its decor. The outside patio is larger than the interior dining area. It was nice to dine outdoors in the patio. Service was good with friendly staff. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Parking is plentiful in the lot.

My husband got the bbq pork noodle soup and I got my pad ew iew. The meat in the pad see iew was very tender and flavorful and not overly sweet. Service was great, they consistently checked our table and refilled my husband's soda. Glad we have this Thai place around the corner from our home! Definitely will try the pad Thai next along with the pineapple fried rice

First, I want to point out that I'm very familiar with Thai food--I've eaten at over 100 Thai…read morerestaurants across the United States, so I feel like I have a pretty solid baseline when it comes to flavor and quality. With that said, I was sadly disappointed with Shandra Thai. Starting with the Thai iced tea: it wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best. It tasted like it was brewed from tea (which is a plus), but it had way too much milk added, which diluted the flavor. It was also overly sweet. On the bright side, the portion is huge for $8, so it's definitely shareable. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp pad thai, which is a pretty standard dish. It was decent and came with a good amount of shrimp, but the flavor leaned way too sweet for my liking. I ordered the wor wonton soup, and this is where things really went downhill. The broth honestly reminded me of those seasoning packets that come with instant ramen--very salty and lacking depth. It was so salty that I could only manage a couple of spoonfuls before I started to feel sick. I'm also fairly certain the shrimp in the soup was frozen (see photo). It's disappointing to pay $18 for a dish that ends up going to waste. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be coming back.
