Everything was GREAT!! Drinks DELICIOUS! Food, oh take me BACK! Ambiance is BEAUTIFUL! But what really kicked it for us was the kindness they gave my mother in law, who was getting lightheaded from the altitude. Went across the street to get her a little oxygen can and gave it to us free of charge. On top of every other last bit of wonderful usual dinner service. Even the host made a wonderful impression on us, offering to take pictures for the family by the flower walk without prompt! I want to go back back back!!

Buonasera Tonight we dined at the wonderful Casa D'Angelo. We arrived early on a Friday night. They open at 6pm for dinner. We arrived around 6:30pm without reservations. We were fortunate to get the last two seats at the bar, and we were sat right away. I believe all tables were booked for the entire evening. So I felt very blessed and fortunate that we were able to be seated at the bar. We had the hamachi carpaccio. It was prepared in a wonderful apricot sauce. Very tasty. Next we had the Aspen salad. Which was also fantastic. It came with a frozen goat cheese sorbet. I found the frozeness of the goat cheese to be a fascinating aspect of this dish. It makes me think of Aspen in winter because the frozen aspect reminds me of snow. It's beautiful how it melts like snow melting in the spring. The salad featured cranberry, which gave a nice bright zing. All of the ingredients were spectacular together. I highly recommend the Aspen salad, for it is uniquely delicious. Next we indulged with Angelo's mother's pasta. The first one on the list, and for good reason. This was probably my favorite dish of the night. The pasta was homemade and cooked perfectly Al dente. Every aspect of this pasta was so delicious and satisfying. The fresh cheese, the sauce and pasta, everything was perfect! Lastly we had the branzino fish which was wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant. And the service was top notch. A wonderful dining experience with my wife. I definitely recommend it.

Where do I start. I guess it's that this was icing on the cake that Aspen is a $$$$ experience. Everyone inside was dressed so nicely with their lovely coats and cute fashionable outfits. (There is also a coat check for you in the front as well.) We made a reservation the day of for 8:30 pm for 2. Restaurant was definitely very busy and almost a fire hazard imo in the entrance. We arrived a little early, but told we were too early so we waited til the time. Workers were nice but you can tell were a little flustered with so many people. We ordered two pastas and a glass of red wine. I ordered paccheri vodka which was a mix of red and white sauce with sausage and mushrooms. The pasta was cooked Al dente . My boyfriend got a dish off the special daily menu which was a seafood squid ink pasta. Definitely a high price tag at $95 but it did have lots of seafood such as a lobster tail and large shrimp. I enjoyed the food and service, but probably would not come back for a second visit. Definitely felt a little out of place with the atmosphere and a little constricted with the budget. Not sure if the price really matched the food and service.

Not great. Arrived at 4:55pm for a 5pm reservation and was told to stand outside in the snow since they were not open yet. Maybe leave the door locked then? Once we sat down the staff immediately had an attitude. 23% gratuity was included on the check, so they must not have been concerned with their service. Had an attitude about the amount of food we ordered. Had an attitude about the two people at the table who were not ordering cocktails. I asked kindly to not pour any more bottled water but they refused (water was $45 total for 6 of us). Food was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was good and the staff was very prompt with refilling water, clearing plates etc. other than that, left feeling like we should have just gone elsewhere.

Very nice dinner spot. Good customer service. Great recommendations. Upstairs is the dining room. This was maybe one of the larger dining spaces we came across. The cocktails were delicious. It was dimly lit making it a little romantic. It was pricey for sure. Fresh pasta. Specials daily.

Favorite dinner restaurant in Aspen! We came here last year for the first time right after a trip to Amalfi coast. Was very pleasantly surprised to find the pasta tasted almost exactly the same as the pasta we had at our favorite local favorite spot in Ravello. My wife complimented and asked Angelo where he's from. "Positano!" There you go. If you want authentic Italian try the fusilli mamma. The branzino was juicy and flavorful! Our server was never hovering but always available. Drinks were perfect. Beautiful elegant modern design with Mountain Views. This is a must stop when you're in town!

Best restaurant I have ever been to. Amazing atmosphere. You walk up stairs to a coat check into this beautiful restaurant. Although no one greeted us to check us into our reservation they ended up making up for it. We got the best table by the window and wine cellar as requested. Ordered Aqua Panna and two chilled shots of Casamingos Reposado with orange slices. Best chilled shots. Then our server told us the specials and we decided on the lobster ravioli appetizers for each of us. Very delicious and light for an appetizer. But quite the tease. One of the specials was the Dover sole. Ordered as I was in the mood for fish and it was so so so so yummy. They bring it out on the bone then bring it off the bone for your to eat. I would give this place 100 stars if I could. They definitely will be back but probably not because I don't go to aspen. Aspen is a gem filled with many amazing fine dining restaurants.

Thank gf for this place! We were in town from Snowmass on Presidents' Day weekend and my brother confused our reservations at Bosq, so we needed up not having any reservations for dinner. We called almost every restaurant in aspen, and everyone was SO RUDE. Like "Um... it's Presidents' Day weekend we're fully booked". But Heather, at Casa D'Angelo was lovely. She got my number and told me if there was a cancellation she would call me. Within 10min I received a call from her and she got us a table for 4 people! We arrived and we're welcomed so pleasantly, sat at a great table and had wonderful service. What a pleasant experience. We had never heard of this place before but we'll definitely be coming back!

This was amazing! We had dinner here on a Sunday night around 7 pm. Contrary to other reviews we found the food to be authentic and very flavorful! We've traveled to Italy before and have Italian in our family so we were very pleased with this meal. We started with a Buffalo mozzarella appetizer including prosciutto and grilled veggies. We then had the squid ink fettuccini and Pappardelle Ragu' Toscano with braised lamb. Both were superb! We also had some cocktails (Manhattan and chocolate martini) which were on point. We ended the evening with a tiramisu which was excellent and served with gelato. Our server Alex was very attentive and friendly. They also have a Sommelier to assist with wine selection. Their wine selection was very extensive and high quality. We will definitely be back next time we are in Aspen!

    PERFECT Salad.

Loved the house sale - perfect. Veal parmigiana outstanding. Pasta was good and homemade - simple with red sauce, I would have preferred a different noodle type (maybe provide some options)? - and a zestier sauce. A terrific place with great people, delicious food and perfect experience. Great scene and great bartenders too! - this is a A+, 5-Star place

Lobster Cacio e Pepe. Fuckin delicious.
    Jack J.

Bartender was pleasant for our drink at the bar. Hostess sat us promptly once our whole crew arrived. Took a while to warm to the waiter that stood too close to the table stuffed in between two of our group. But, he and we got in sync once he figured out our more leisurely timing. We split 3 of the special Elk & Risotto dishes for our table of 6....meat and Arborio were cooked perfectly. The Lobster Cacio e Pepe was rich and phenomenal. The somm hit us with a lovely old world brunello, while the large tiramisu hit the sugar spot. Pinions was always one of my favorite spots in the country to dine, and this is a capable replacement.

Hands down the best restaurant in town with best seafood! Exceeds 5 star rating! We ordered the Salt Baked Branzino and it had the best flavor, cooked to perfection! I can say with confidence this was one of the best restaurants in town. Must try place!

We don't mind paying for an exceptional meal, but this simply wasn't it. It ended up being the most expensive dining experience of our trip, yet the quality didn't come close to justifying the cost. The service made the experience even worse. Because our party was larger than six, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. We normally tip well over 20% for good service, but it honestly felt like our server knew the tip was guaranteed and put very little effort into taking care of us. Our orders came out incorrectly, we were charged for items we never received, and overall the service was inattentive from start to finish. Aspen has so many dining options, and based on our experience, I would recommend trying somewhere else. We left feeling like we paid premium prices for a very average meal and poor service.

It came sliced in three so the portion was massive. The chicken had more of a Japanese katsu style breading on it so it was super crispy. The burger was also a solid choice. Great bun to filling ratio and the spicy slaw was a complemented the burger well. The fries were pricey and I didn't realize that they weren't a side but an appetizer, but these fries were super crispy and delicious. You could tell that they were fried freshly on the spot. The creamy sauce it came with paired well with them! Deviled eggs were savory and had a kick from the pickle relish. This was my first time eating creamed corn and I liked it! Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.
