We normally tip well over 20% for good service, but it honestly felt like our server knew the tip was guaranteed and put very little effort into taking care of us. Our orders came out incorrectly, we were charged for items we never received, and overall the service was inattentive from start to finish. I called 28.5 hours before our reservation, yet they refused to waive the cancellation fee and are charging $75 per person ($300 total)! This was not a no-show. Weather-related travel disruptions are completely out of a guest's control, and every other reputable restaurant I've dealt with has shown basic understanding in similar situations. Instead, I was told I could reschedule for another time or purchase a gift card--neither of which is realistic, as I live in another state and have no idea when I'll be in Aspen. This policy, combined with the rude and inflexible response, felt incredibly unreasonable and profit-driven. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend making reservations here. The chef is more interested in presentation than quality. I don't know why anyone would go to dinner here. Two stars only due to the nice patio and great service.
