And the fact that I had to request new/clean tools speaks volumes about the quality you will receive here. She began using a nasty and very used nail filer and clippers and I said no. Other than taking off the nails I had before, she did absolutely nothing. What manicure did I pay for exactly. It's no wonder they have signs like no refunds and complaints. I'm sure there are many of them. Save yourself the heartache and go a little further to Alamo Ranch and get a real manicure. I guess you get what you pay for here at Angelic Nails. Very sweet people so it pains me that I feel the need to share. I was charged 110 for basic toes and nails. She was not able to do the style I asked for so I had to settle. I only tipped 3 bucks. I felt bad because I'm a big tipper. If my nails were nice I would not mind spending 110. These are not worth 110. I will definitely be getting them fixed somewhere else tomorrow. read more

Was badly in need of getting my gels redone and popped into this place randomly. Am I glad that I did! Phong and his wife Tracy are a husband and wife who take pride in their shop/service. While the pandemic has created tough times for everyone they are working hard to give the customers what they want and with a smile. They were super nice when my nails were done and I really loved the way they looked. However, they started lifting within 8 days. I got the solar nails with a tip. When I went to paint them, the nail polish leaked underneath them. So that's when I first started noticing them lifting from the cuticle area. Then 2 days later they started popping off. I called and asked what they could do and was told I probably wash my hands too much . I'm not a dishwasher and I use gloves when I do dishes. Solar nails are suppose to last longer than acrylic. Angelic Nails is just ok. Nothing special... Pros: prices are reasonable, location, employees were nice enough, nice basic massage Cons: Not enough people working. There was only 2 girls working on a Sunday afternoon going back and forth between clients. Salon was dead silent. Some may like this, however, I did not. No music, no tv on, nothing. I find this kind of awkward to be honest. Not experienced in nail art. We were told by the employee that she couldn't do nail art and the other girl working would have to do it. Although I appreciated her honesty, if you are a professional nail tech, shouldn't your skills be beyond just simple polishing of nails? I showed the other worker a picture of a pokeball as what my daughter requested and it came out ok. I honestly could have done better, but my kid was pleased and I'm a perfectionist so, it is what it is. Nail edges clean up. I think a professional should use a nail brush dipped in polish remover to clean up around the edges not use their own nail to scrape the polish off around the sides. I didn't receive any cuticle oil to finish either. Cleanliness. Salon could be cleaner. Seems a little outdated. Case was cluttered with junk as you first walk in. Overall, it was ok, but this isn't the only nail shop in SA and I'll keep trying to find my perfect nail shop. Literally just walked out of this place and I'm very angry and disappointed. No other customers when we entered. Was put in a chair immediately without getting a chance to choose a color. Water was barely the temperature of warm bath water. Wasn't asked about a color until I was already soaking my feet. Wasn't offered a pedicure package until he had already painted my toes with shellac. I tell him that anywhere I've been always does the pedicure services before painting shellac, and he tried to argue with me about it! So I made it clear that I just wanted him to finish so I could leave. Then he does an oil and hot towel treatment! Who does oil and not lotion?! So now I'm greasy as well. Don't go here. Super friendly, laid back, & funny staff. Having actual real conversations with the nail techs was a nice change from most other salons I've been to. Wait was a little long because they were short staffed that day, but it was worth the wait. Actual services were quick - the 2 techs on hand teamed up together (one on hands, one on feet) to get me done faster to make up for the wait - & final product looked great. Would like to see a bigger selection of darker/alternative colors & more glitters/metallics in the shellac polish, but that's just my personal preference. Most colors available are light & bright, just not my thing. But they were able to combine one of the chrome powders on top of plain black shellac to come up with a color & finish that I loved. Went to get a pedicure after I had a terrible experience at another place. It's a small salon but the pedicure was amazing. She really took her time and I had one of the best leg massages I've ever had with a pedicure. They offered drinks and they had a great amount of colors to choose from. Only put two starts because their customer service is really good. The workers there are super nice. I got a full set and a pedicure. Pedicure was great. My full set was NOT!! After two days my nails were already lifting up from the sides, my hair would get stuck through under my nails when I would run my fingers through my hair when I showered, and I started seeing that I had these white scratches on top of my nails. Idk where I got them from but mind you I don't do any hard work, hard lifting, nothing. So I don't know how I got them. But just all around I'm very disappointed with my set. They do a great job but they overpriced me alot and didn't even do everything that I'm used to have done on a mani and pedi. They didn't massage legs nor arms and didn't do the hot towels nor clean cuticles but charged outrageous amounts. Going somewhere else that has better prices. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews. People are nice that's why I gave them 2 stars. Back in July we paid for a full set of nails, either the same day or the day after 1 popped off, we called he said bring her back in and he will take care of it, in less then a week they had all popped off except for 2. We got busy, school started never took her back. But my daughter was going regularly and then I started going there. And I reminded him. I got a fill they were horrible so the next day I went in and asked since I just got a fill yesterday and pad $40.00 how much would he charge me for a new set. He said the fill wasn't his work but a new set would be $50.00. So I kept the crappy looking nails. A couple weeks later I took off my nails. My daughter went to get her nails done and made an appt. for me for the next day and paid $25. towards my nails. She also mentioned the set my granddaughter got that popped off. He told her he would take care of her. When we got there he said he couldn't do anything about her nails now but he would discount her set. I bet you can guess for how much. So her set is paid. I don't feel that's taking care of her. And my nails are horrible. My natural nails were nubs and he made the artificial nail even shorter, my skin is longer then the nail. they are crooked and he over charged me.I wanted them square, one side he rounded the other side he left square. I got a new set of nails because my fingers hurt but now they hurt worse and they look like crap. I am on a fixed income so now I have to have ugly nails for the holidays. If a nail tech ever tells you your fingers are difficult to do, walk away they can't do them. My granddaughter's nails look nice. I am able to give this place 5 stars because I have been going with Tracy for more than 10 years. She is amazing and everyone on the staff is great too. They do the best pedicures and Tracy is phenomenal when it comes to eyebrows! I even take my daughter there too.
