We were about to leave on a 4 day weekend in the San Juans when my husband's key snapped off in the lock on our front door. Of course, the one time I forgot to bring my house key... We googled locksmiths, found Andy, and we are so glad we did! He was incredibly fast for a Friday evening, managed to get us in without destroying the lock, made us 2 new keys (to replace the broken one and a spare), and was very friendly and helpful. All this, and he was extremely affordable, charging about half of what we were expecting to pay. Andy saved our weekend and has been added to our speed dial in case we ever need a locksmith again. read more

Andy is awesome. Wish he was available 24 hours. He picked a deadbolt in under 5 minutes and was reasonably priced. Really nice guy. Also made a copy of a key for me for free. read more

Andy, you're a life saver. To my dismay, I had stupidly misplaced my car keys after a night on the town. After a week of waiting for my keys with no signs of recovering them, I decided I should call a locksmith. I stumbled upon Andy through Yelp, and while I may not agree with the politics behind it, it got him my business. Andy was quick on the scene and quick to get me a new set of keys (multiple copies, completely unexpected and awesome). He did all of this at an incredibly reasonable price. He didn't try to up-sell or cheat me out of my money, he's an honest, down to Earth person that made this initially bad experience a pleasant one. I plan on recommending him to all of my friends and relatives with the key/lock blues. Call him already! read more

Fast response. Would definitely use again. I had a rare situation where I had the key to a lock on my storage unit and for some reason the lock jammed and the key could not turn. How frustrating!! Problem solved quickly and prices were reasonable. Thanks! read more

Doh! Locked myself out of my house. I called another reputable locksmith first but was referred to Andy because they didn't have anyone available. Andy was about to embark on a different job when he got my call, and he was so kind to postpone the job to come unlock my door for me right away. Turns out my door locks are really hard to pick, which is good to know. He still managed to unlock my door tout de suite. We started talking about door locks and how easy/difficult they are to pick and he evaluated the security of other door locks. He charged $80 for an emergency door unlock service and also advised me on some scam locksmiths that are around. He is so incredibly nice and I will definitely call him again when I need locks changed or rekeyed, or god forbid, lock myself out again. read more

Andy (of Advantage) is the MAN! Like a fool I dropped my keys in my trunk and slammed it shut. After a call to Advantage Andy indicated he could meet me within 30 minutes of our conversation and he made it in 20! When the old Slim Jim couldn't get my door open he used an old school approach and got a bendy metal tool into the interior of my car and pushed the lock up manually, and made it look easy. When I revealed that the reason I couldn't get into my trunk was that I was using my spare key on my key chain after breaking my primary key, he made me a new one on the spot, saving me a trip to my dealership. Andy is really friendly and courteous too, which made my stressful predicament so much easier. Viva Advantage! read more

Great help. Great guy. Great deal. Will use next time i need programmed keys!

Andy must be the last best gentleman tradesman. I had to get into a safe that would not open for me to retrieve a passport the night before an international flight. I called him at 6:15 pm, and he was at my house by 7:30. He was honest, helpful and calm in a situation where I was basically freaking out! His price was reasonable and I had my problem solved. I am truly thankful for his service. read more

We have had problems with our front door lock for years ! So I finally call someone to come fix it .. Enter Andy ! Let me tell this was not an easy Job the locks on our front door were in very poor shape given that they are close to 100 years old (no joke) He had to take everything apart to get to the problem and in the end we had a new key and a new dead bolt keyed alike, four copies of the key for all the family members . I would highly recommend Andy he was prompt, polite and clean . Oh his service fee was nominal and for the work he did was worth every penny. Thank again Andy ! read more

My purse stolen one night at the bars which left me with no keys, no phone etc. Andy came out early on Sunday morning (only took him 15 minutes from the time i called for him to get there) got me back into my apartment and it only cost me $85 to come out plus $25 for a new lock and keys. He was also super nice. I would 100% recommend using him! read more

Like all the other reviews here on yelp, Andy is excellent and super friendly!!! I chose Andy to help me change the lock for my restaurant in Seattle. I was suppose to meet him at the restaurant but due to an unexpected personal emergency, I was not able to be there while Andy changed the locks. My employees all said he was super fast, this was important for us because our lunch rush was soon to begin. Not only was his service fast, his charges were more than REASONABLE!!! I know this because two years ago, my restaurant was broken into and the locksmith then, charged me well over $145 with two set of keys. With Andy, I was charged half that amount with five set of keys. If you really need someone friendly, professional and fast call Andy, he always answers or will get back to you asap :) read more

Discovering that you are locked out is a drag, but Andy comes to your rescue with a totally fair price and a speedy response. After a hit and run (ugh), my car was at an autobody shop. I gave the shop permission to lock my keys in the car so I could pick it up afterhours. When I went home to grab my spare key, I realized I had been given the wrong spare key by the previous owner and was locked out of my car. Andy was on-site in less than 30 minutes and took no time getting into my car. He even made me a spare key free of charge. It won't start the car since it doesn't have the computer chip required for my security system, but it will get me in the door in a pinch! Call Andy - there's a reason that all of his reviewers have given him 5 stars. read more

Andy has ALL 5 star ratings for good reason......GREAT service, excellents prices and super nice guy! I manage a condo in Ballard and have used him on several occasions. Always quick to respond and knows what he's doing. Can't recommend him highly enough. Did I mention great service! read more

My 10-year-old son locked his 80-year-old bedroom door with an old skeleton key he found. Luckily, he was not in his room at the time. After fiddling with it for a half-hour, we were unable to get the door unlocked and eventually the key broke off. I called another locksmith who referred me to Andy. Andy answered his phone right away and came by as soon as his previous job was done. He was able to find a compatible skeleton key and open the lock within a minute or so. Because it didn't take long, he discounted his normal fee (which my son paid from his saved allowance money) and we had a nice chat about old locks and curious little boys. Andy was great and I'll definitely call him again if (or rather when) my son exhibits similar curiosity. read more

Andy is great! I gave him a call this morning due to the lock on our mailbox being jammed, and he was over in less than 20 minutes to fix it. He replaced the lock on our mailbox with a lock that will better withstand the elements, and was even able to make an extra copy of the key for our landlord. Andy's price for the fix was reasonable, and he was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Andy! read more

I called up Advantage based on the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly. We chatted while Andy fixed up a few locks for me and he even taught me a few things about how locks work. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs assistance with their locks. read more

FANTASTIC. I can't write enough great things about Andy and his quick service late on a Sunday night. I called around 9pm after trying to pick my lock myself for an hour, very frustrated and tired and Andy came over very quickly and let me into my place and did not charge me an arm and a leg. Andy was extremely quick and careful and the nicest guy ever. PLEASE use Advantage any time you are locked out!!! I had locked myself out about four months ago and called a different service that said $19 online and figured it couldn't be that much overage from that quote, maybe $50-60. They charged me $285 for and almost broke my door jam. ANDY is STUPENDOUS compared to those thieves and so pleasant to do business with! read more

I had the best experience with a locksmith I've ever had after calling Advantage Mobile Locksmiths. There are a lot of scam locksmiths on Yelp and in directories, Advantage Mobile Locksmiths is the real deal. The price Andy quotes will not be the cheapest, but it will be fair, and it will be what you are actually charged. Those scam locksmiths will quote a much lower price, but that will turn out to be just to look at the lock, and the actual work will be much more. When I called Andy, he said he'd be there in half an hour, and arrived 20 minutes. Andy also recommended someone else to help with a different issue, and that gentleman gave as good of service, so you can probably trust other tradespeople he recommends. I don't give out a lot of 5 star reviews, but with all the junk "locksmiths" on Yelp, Andy deserves to be at the top of the list. read more

I had a horrible day and lost my purse and Andy arrived promptly and got me into my house in less than a minute. Amazing! I am so lucky he was suggested to me by Robbie at Ballard lock & key. Super professional and reasonable rate too! Highly recommended. read more

The handle on our home safe (3.0 cu ft) came off. Been locked out a week trying to work with the manufacturer on getting it opened. No-go. Then a call to Andy and he was out to our home that afternoon. A couple hours later, the safe was opened... and repaired. Saved me hundreds in having to buy a replacement. Andy and Kai (sp?) were professional and communicated clearly on the issue, their plan, and next steps to keep this from happening again. 5+ stars!!! read more

We had the best locksmith experience I could hope for! Andy knows his stuff and was able to help us get our old sticky mortise lockset working better than we could have imagined. He was quick, friendly, and reasonable. Totally trustworthy and I'd recommend him to anyone. read more

Andy was prompt and courteous and friendly. He fixed our jammed lock quickly and at a very reasonable rate. We would certainly recommend him and use him again. its not often you see a business with all 5 star reviews and i can see why, read more

Looking over the other reviews, you are probably tired of seeing the phrase "Andy was great!" But he was, and is. I am a new homeowner and needed to change out my home locks - ALL of them. Andy was efficient, flexible, friendly, and patient. Not only did I get great service, but now I understand why some locks are better than others and why its so important to use your deadbolt!! He even helped me trim out some of the 'strikes' on my interior doors so that they latched properly. If I ever need lock-related work again, I won't hesitate to call him. Trust me folks - it doesn't get better than this. read more

Andy is fantastic. I hired Andy to complete a rekey of my house based on his competitive pricing and great customer service when I was shopping for quotes. When he arrived at my home, he arrived in a marked van wearing a uniform (this does not happen enough and it really impresses me when people put thought in to the legitimateness of their appearance when visiting people's houses). He completed the rekey promptly and with a smile on his face. Then, when he presented me with the bill, it was (gasp!) EXACTLY what he had quoted me - no hidden fees! I could not be more happy with the service I received, and I can promise that I will use Andy again in the future and will recommend him to all. read more

I locked my keys in my car and within 30 minutes had my keys back and a free spare. Andy is such a nice guy, friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend him. $85 to get back into my car, and no damage to the door or window. He accepts cash, card or check. read more

Andy was great! I locked my keys in my truck, and Andy was there right away. Door was opened in less than 5 minutes. And the price was totally reasonable ($85 to open a 1998 Dodge Dakota). No damage to the truck at all. I highly recommend Andy's locksmith services. read more

I locked myself out of the apartment and scammer guy gave up on my lock. Andy was able to help me with the lock and he got it less than 10minites, he was very skilled&professional I really recommend him read more

Oops.....Please know that A-AA Advantage Mobile Locksmith is really Advantage Locksmith. I misspelled the name. Andy is terrific. Arrives when he says he will, does what you need him to do (can fix just about any lock situation), and is reasonable. A real expert with a great can-do attitude and a fully stocked van. You will not be disappointed! read more

I'm really pleased with the service I received from Andy yesterday. If there's one thing that drives me crazy about the service business in general, it's when people don't do what they say they are going to do. If service is your business, you should make and meet commitments, right? Andy answered the phone when I called (on a Sunday morning) and provided me with a basic quote for the services I needed. We agreed to a window later in the day when he would come by, and he told me he would call when he was on his way. Within the 2-hour window specified, he called to let me know he'd be arriving soon. He was friendly, helpful, and detail-oriented. The job was completed promptly and according to the prices he'd quoted me earlier in the day. It's clear to me after talking with Andy that another locksmith had ripped me off in the past. I'm happy to have found a locksmith who is trustworthy and delivers high quality service at a good price. Call Andy! read more

Wow. Andy is great. Came over on a Saturday with a day's warning, diagnosed my lock issue quickly, had parts on hand to fix. Which he did. Also suggested some relief of some sticky components of the lock seat, which he thought might be contributing to the wear and tear. Took care of that quickly, and the lock works GREAT. Like new. $100. Totally worth it. Very friendly, very personable. Neighborhood guy. I'd go with him again, no problem. read more

Highly recommended. I needed some door locks rekeyed for security reasons. Called and Andy answered. Very professional, told me over the phone how much the initial service fee and each lock would cost. Arrived when he said he would, worked quickly, was very friendly. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND BEWARE of many locksmith scammers working in the Seattle region, some of them backed by non-U.S. scamming outfits. They give a low-ball price over the phone, send untrained people (many here on visas to help out with the scamming) to "work" on your locks, then charge exorbitant prices after the work has been done. read more

Mother-in-law lost the keys to my brother-in-law's place. Brother-in-law is in Afghanistan. So what did we do? We called Andy. It was Saturday night on a holiday weekend, raining, and we thought we were out of luck. But Andy we upbeat, and got the job done fast (and was quite informative). A great experience! read more

I cannot give a high enough rating to Andy. He repaired my 1940 front door mortise lock for me. He did this by making a new spring for the lock, on the spot. And also by replacing a few screws, and then doing some custom work to make sure the warped door worked properly. Perfect. And then he topped it all off by telling me about a great barbecue spot near Lake City (I've since been, and Rainin' Ribs is the great). Thanks Andy! read more

My first review didn't seem to post. Bottom line...Andy is dependable, professional & will help you out quickly. He helped us in Seattle when the car key broke in half. 5+ stars. read more

There's a reason why they have 5 stars. I locked my car keys in the trunk of my car and googled auto locksmith. This was the first one that came up, I called and Andy said he would be out in 10 minutes which he was. Took him no more than 10 minutes to get my trunk opened(I also had the trunk release in my car locked which he was able to work around. I told him that I didn't have a spare key for my car so I couldn't have even gone home for it. He made it for me free of charge. Very professional and curteous, would suggest that you call him if you get locked out. read more

Andy provides a great service at an extremely fair price. Called him yesterday afternoon to schedule a non-emergency appointment and he took care of the locks today. Would absolutely recommend! read more

If you need a locksmith, Andy is you guy! He arrived about 20 minutes after I called, didi the work neatly and quickly. He is priced very reasonably, He is also just a lovely gentleman! I called Andy late on a Friday afternoon, as soon as we realized that my daughter's purse, containing her ID and house keys, had been stolen from her work. Despite reaching him after he had finished work for the day, he came right over and re-keyed our locks within the hour. I was so appreciative of the prompt, courteous, and effective service and deeply grateful that we had the peace of mind of new keys so quickly. Will definitely call Andy again if we ever need a locksmith. read more

I lost the keys to three (yes, three!!) different vehicles, and lucky for me, each vehicle had one key for the door and a different key for the ignition. I called Andy at Advantage Mobile Locksmiths because he had helped me out before. Andy was there within half an hour and had my new keys made in no time. He also took the time to make me three copies of each key so that this wouldn't happen again. Very fast, very professional, and charged me way less than the rip-offs that advertise crazy low prices online. No hassle, no b.s., and what a nice guy! I agree with Dawn A., I would also give Andy 10 stars if I could. Will not use any other locksmith in Seattle! read more

Andy is a gem. I called him Saturday evening after we inadvertently locked ourselves out of our bathroom and another locksmith referred him. He came promptly and was super friendly. I was very stressed out about the locked door but he was calm and totally dedicated to solving the problem. The lock presented a unique challenge because it was original 1941 hardware, but even though Andy had never seen a lock like it he took the time to figure out how it worked and got the door open in half an hour or so. I think many others would have given up. His cost was extremely fair as well. I would recommend him in a heartbeat! read more
