Buyer Beware! had an interesting experience at Andy Mohr Ford and would like to get anyone else from experiencing this. Went on the website and chatted with the online rep. Questioning the 299 lease that was offered. Was told by the rep that the $299 lease was available on all of that vehicle model. Was referred to the dealership. Upon chatting with the salesperson I indeed was given false information from the rep that it wasn't available on all the models. That you have to click on the $299 box and it pops up with the model number. 1.) Where do you find that model number on a window sticker? I was then told that they could get a vehicle from another dealership that met the options that I was wanting and due to the options it would be $330 per month. At this point I was questioning how much of the down payment that we wanted to apply. I asked about reducing the down payment and keeping the payments the same. I was then told that the down payment could be reduced and the payments would remain at 330 for the vehicle. Being ready to give him my credit card it appears that they vehicle he was quoting me was for one on his lot that we had never even discussed not the one from the other lot. 2.) How can you change vehicles without consulting the customer? Just because it on your lot? Thank goodness that came out or we have driven over an hour to find it was the wrong vehicle. I then received an e-mail thanking me for contact the salesperson and confirming the vehicle that we talked about. It wasn't ANY of the vehicles mentioned above 3) How can you send a thank you and confirm a vehicle that wasn't even considered (except it was a limited model) The original vehicle that I wanted for the other lot was now going to cost me even more money. 4) How does he price magically increased in 24 hours? After seeing all of these red flags I took the window sticker from the car that I originally wanted that wasn't on their lot (it was from Tom Wood) and took it to another dealer. Low and behold that dealer would get me the vehicle (from Tom Wood) for less of a downpayment and over $25 less per month including a wear care package. 5) I agree all businesses have to make money, but can't we just be honest with our customers. Repairs dragging on and on for over 2 months now on a 2007 car in great shape before the accident, took weeks to get around to my car, then revised estimate after revised estimate, then one missing part after another, one delay after another, one problem after another, not keeping me up to date, blowing deadlines, excuses, excuses, excuses. Went to Andy Mohr ford looking to buy a used SUV. Found a certified one I liked and the price seemed fair and it was listed on-line. When the sales man came back with a price for my trade, which I rejected, he quoted me a price on the car I was looking at as $1995 above the web price. I questioned it and he said since it was listed below the "book" price they had to add that cost onto the listed price so they vehicle would be "certified". I questioned again why it wasn't the same price as on-line and the online stated the vehicle was "certified" and he brought the manager in to explain the change in price. His explanation was that under the "Disclaimer" section in the online ad the first line says "PLUS certification on qualifying vehicles" - apparently that means your not paying the listed price if you want the certified vehicle even though it imply s the vehicle is certified in the ad. Either they are deliberately misleading in the ad or they try to find a reason to up the price if you want the vehicle. They also like to add in a dock fee of another $299.00 - WOW! I wonder what they did on the dock? I assumed any additional prep cost should be added into the price, not a tack on afterwards. Needless to say I walked out the door and bought my vehicle elsewhere. While their selection of used vehicles is awesome, their way of doing business is deceitful and deplorable! I will never return to or do business with Andy Mohr! read more

If you like CUSTOMER NO SERVICE this is the place for you. Took my Ford vehicle into the service department for a simple warranty repair. In the last 2.5 weeks they had me return 4 times and each time had a different excuse ranging from wrong part ordered, part needed to go to paint shop, after one week paint shop still did not paint part, part came back from paint shop but needed to be repainted. I understand that stuff happens, but the service advisor didn't even have the decency to make one call instead having me show up continuously wasting my time. Notifying the Service Manager and General Manager was also a waste of time. No one seems to care at this dealership. read more

After leaving my neighborhood with this car that I maintain like a brick of gold it got stuck in second gear. At this point I think to myself hey I have full bumper to bumper and extended two years warranty I paid extra for? Nope. Not at Andy mohr ford. They refuse to replace anything and tried to tack on a 5500!!!$ repair bill for JUST a bearing and a clutch pad. I have 22k miles on my car, When I asked why my 35k power train warranty would cover it they said no and when I asked if the clutch was a part of the power train and in the transmission he told me the clutch was not a a part of the transmission... wow. My car has 22k miles on it and apparently still is not eligible for ANY warranty from ford. And when I asked why I wasn't told of this before I purchased the car he continued to answer me with "it's in the clause we don't have to tell you that". Worst experience I've ever had. My first new car and I couldn't have picked a worse place to buy it from. If your looking for a sports car, or any car, if and if you like your warranties stick to Chevy. The salesman, LC, was fine. I was looking at used lower price vehicles, and he took the time with me even though i wasn't gonna be a big ticket sale. I am just disappointed at the quality. 1 vehicle the tires were so bad I wouldn't be able to even drive it home. The second vehicle had a flat when we went to see it. Simple thing that should be checked on a morning walk of the lot. So, no sale. Also, a co-worker of mine agreed on a vehicle price and put money down only to have the car sold out from under her for a higher price. We drove nearly three hours to look at a CPO Ford. Unlike any other dealer I have ever dealt with, Andy Mohr Ford does not include the cost of CPO certification in their advertised price(That pertinent information is buried in small print at the bottom of their web page). The used car appraiser claimed to have found "scratches" on the rear bumper of our car-there were none-and used that as justification for decreasing the trade value by 25%. On top of all that they did not return our keys after the appraisal and parked our car out of sight(they did return our keys after we demanded them). We are still getting emails trying to get us to buy the car. I would never consider buying a car from them. read more

My daughter bought her new used car there 3 weeks ago and had some concern about the starting process. We called and drop off the car at the collision center (place she bought it). Someone call us the following day to confirm the drop off and asking for more info. The person told me we drop off the car to the wrong place and would drive the car to the right place. Very nice of him. They kept the car for 2 days to diagnostic the issue and found nothing. They tested the car in all situations. When we pick up the car they asked for $99 diagnostics fees. I was very surprised as nobody told us before we have those fees to pay has the car is under warranty for 6 months. After talking to the manager they reduced the diagnostics as $65 and told us if she still have issue she can come back and they would look at it for free. They even give us a car wash coupon. I have to agree with the low rating reviews here. I purchased a used van here. It is the worse vehicle I have ever owned! I was taken by andy mohr for their gain. The used car dealer told me ONLY the cruise control & the back hatch stuck were the ONLY thing wrong with this van. I purchased the van...6 months later the torquette converter and the transmission went out. I am still paying on this van for a very long time now...but I have no van anymore to drive. I have called andy mohr up numerous times. I asked about the torque converter recall..I was scolded and told that it is a FORD and this is a Chevy dealer..I told them I purchased the van from them and you are the person to call...they shifted me off to bill estes ford. I called Estes up and they said they would look on their computer system and they found my van and said they received a piece of paper a receipt that the torque converter was replaced from an outside private party 3 months to my purchasing van. And the prior owner came in with this receipt and got refunded for the replaced torque converter...but after I purchased the van the engine light comes on and after computer testing at a different ford dealership they say it is the torque converter and transmission and they doubt the torque converter was even replaced or replaced by a faulty one. Their is a question about Andy Mohr's reputation from this other dealership. I am devastated now I am paying for a van that is completely not working. Andy Mohr seems very angry at me for even questioning about the torque converter ever being replaced. I told them if it is a scam then they are representing scams. They say they are not responsible I again told them it is wrong for them to represent scams if that is what has happened as it is all questionable. They said it is not their fault & I have to take that up with Bill Estes. I said I didn't buy my van from Estes I bought it from you! And if the torque converter was never replaced or was replaced by an outside person with a faulty one or used one that is a scam and if you are selling vans that are scammed that makes you a participant of a scam! They got upset with me why? because I speak the truth? I was also told by the other (better) dealer that if Andy Mohr had made sure this van had the torque converter replaced by ford I would not be having all these van problems now. Andy Mohr cannot produce anytype of paper showing the torquette converter was replaced. The SUPPOSEDLY new replaced torque converter converter should not have broken so soon. This is what makes the the other (better) dealership believe it was never replaced and funds were handed out to someone else just because they had some kind of receipt claiming they had the torque converter replaced. Andy Mohr does not care! I am wondering if there is something going on inside of Andy Mohr to be doing this to people taking advantage of them. I only get scolded and repremended at Andy Mohr when I call to tell them what they have done to me. Also since the torque converter that was on recall went out it ruined the transmission. Andy Mohr did absolutely Nothing! they do not even look and check on their vans or vehicles before selling them. I REPEAT BLEIVE ALL OF THESE POOR REVIEWS! as it is people who have suffered from this dealerships gain over poor quality vehicles. BEWARE!! read more

After wasting time comparing several of these, I notice the fine print at the very bottom says that 4WD vehicles are excluded. I call the dealer to ask for clarification and Karissa B. tells me "its a computer problem and they haven't been able to remove that offer from the excluded vehicles". I went to Andy Mohr Ford to buy a new car. Never shopped around cause the price they shot me was exceptional. I walked away a happy customer. When it came to service however, I am not so happy. My first experience with the shop was good. Warranty work. I went back yesterday to get my oil changed and a plastic bumper wrapping, lost two plastic pins to hold up the plastic bumper wrapping. The only thing the service guy done was changed the oil and lead me to believe the bumper was done too. When I got home I found out differently that the bumper was not fixed at all. I will not take my vehicles back to Andy Mohr Dealerships for any service again. I guess I got a bad Service Representative and it has cost Andy Mohr a customer. read more

They sold my 18 yr old daughter a car too dangerous to drive! Awful customer service - Do not go!! My daughter spent years working and saving to buy her first car. She had a $5,000 budget. We figured it would be safer to go to a dealer than buy it directly from an owner. We were willing to pay a little extra knowing the cars were checked and safe to drive. My daughter walked out with a 2002 Lincoln. After less than 1000 miles, the car started overheating. It was towed to the dealer and, even with the limited warranty, the car needed about $1000 in repairs. They initially offered to exchange the car at a value of $800! BB value minus the repairs. Quite a drop in just a month! After spending hours talking to managers and salespeople, we were finally able to exchange the car for a 2006 Pontiac V6 of similar value. The Pontiac was making a rattling noise so a few days after buying it, we took it to our mechanic to get it checked out. It turns out, this car is dangerous to drive. It needs a complete rear break job, the front hub bearings are shot, the lower control arms and tie rods needed urgent replacement. My daughter called the dealership immediately and was told by the manager: "I can't keep bailing you out!". Total cost of repairs is now $1,500 and Andy Mohr Ford Lincoln isn't willing to do a thing. read more

Boyfriend bought a used 2007 Chevy Cobalt, was told it was in good condition. One month after buying the brakes needed to be replaced, after three months the battery was having issues and had to replace as it had gotten so low that it actually froze over in November; battery issues again in March and found out it's because of the "GPS" locator the bank had them install and it was drawing power when the car was off. Andy Mohr claimed they couldn't fix or touch it without the approval of the bank, contacted the bank and they said Andy Mohr is responsible for all repairs on the GPS and they don't need permission since Andy Mohr installed it -- and they want him to pay $100 for a full diagnostic to verify it's that part, even though he showed them the findings on our diagnostic tool. Now, we've figured out that the fuel pump (which had a recall but not in our state?) is cracked, which is going to be a $700+ repair, along with the new battery that was $200, oh and when we went to a mechanic friend to do a diagnostic for free -- ALL FOUR struts need to be replaced. This car was $10k and he had to finance it, so we're stuck with it for a long time -- should've looked at the carfax report first because it lists the history-based value at less than $4k. This car is nowhere near worth the trouble it's caused, if he doesn't unhook the battery every night he'll have to jump it in the morning because it will be completely dead. I understand that people who buy used cars get the short end of the stick, but have a little pride in what you sell and let someone know if they'll need to put more money into actually fixing the car. read more

We have purchased 3 brand new trucks and 2 used cars from Andy Mohr Ford,Plainfield. We purchased a used vehicle in Nov 12,2914. We have had it 14 days now. We called the salesperson,Michelle Everroad,told her we had a possible mechanical concern. She told us to come in and she would trade us out of the vehicle. They weren't concerned about addressing the concern. The mgr of the used car side drove it. WHILE eating in it! Trying to steer with one hand. With the windows rolled up as not to hear the mouse we are hearing. He returned,told us he's not a mechanic,but he didn't hear anything! For 13 days of having the car,they wanted to charge us $5,000,or $384.62 dollars a day that we drove it! A $5K loss on 13 days! Which caused the mgr to proceed to tell us,or rather try to,all about his wife's problems. We cut him off,told him we didn't care! He then proceeded to get a package of Ramen Noodles to prepare while we were trying to get them to either take the car back,cancel the loan,or trade us out of it without a $5K loss for 13 days of driving it. The mgr then proceeded to tell us that we,and I quote,"just had buyers remorse and we aren't taking the car back. I write the repair bills checks here"! Our sales woman Michelle Everroad? She told me in the car that we went about this all wrong! We should have taken the car to the mechanic ourselves FIRST,had a repair bill and brought it in! Then she disappeared. Never saw her again. All while this treatment was going on,other sales persons from the new side were coming in and out,standing,watching and laughing. They'd go back to the new side and different ones would come over. Watch and laugh. The mgr was borderline yelling at me that my opinion wasn't crap to him or anybody else there about the mechanical issue! And once again,we had "buyers remorse" and there was nothing wrong with the car. He drove it! But he's not a mechanic he stated either! My husband went up the new side sales and asked the receptionist who the top person was that was there at that time? She said,"well that's me"! And laughed. We will never,ever have our vehicles serviced there again. We will never purchase another vehicle from Andy Mohr again. We were treated like garbage! The used car side mgr is a disgrace to the representation of Ford Co. Michelle Everroad needs to rethink her chosen career path. The receptionist needs to not pursue a part time job in comedy! When shopping for, or maybe just dreaming about owning the car of your dreams I recommend driving through this Ford dealership. Huge selection and a friendly sales team that applied no pressure to purchase. I had no intentions of buying a new car, and was really just wanting to sit inside and maybe experience the thrill of the New and World Class Mustang. While walking through the selection of over 20 new Mustang Gt's, my fiancé snapping pictures of me standing beside them a salesman, Russell Greene, came out. I was ready to walk back to my car, get in and leave as so many salesmen give you that high pressure in your face pitch and I wasn't wanting that. Mr. Greene was nothing like that at all. I jokingly asked If I could maybe drive one just to get that seat in your pants feeling. He quickly concurred and asked which one I would like to drive. So while I was lookin towards the white or bright red ones, Renee, my best friend, and fiancé pointed out the Ruby Red GT premium. So upon that recommendation we took that one for a spin. Just sitting down in the New Mustang gave me chills. The feel, fit and finish of the interior is the best I have ever seen in a Stang, and this is my fourth one I have owned. Pushing the start button and listening to the 5.0 liter engine come to life absolutely fired me Up. Unbelievable. Ford did it right. These S550 Mustangs are purely the Ultimate Pony Cars ever. We both fell in love and decided to buy. However after a little bit of responsible thought Renee was recommending we not take the car home that evening. I felt bad for the salesman and the financing guy that worked swiftly to make the deal. Less than a week later we drove home the same colored Mustang GT of my dreams. A six speed manual, 435 hp, sports car that I never would have thought would be sitting in our garage.
