I absolutely love this place. Our initial visit here several years ago was fantastic. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, the service is top notch and very friendly and the food was fantastically flavorful. We came here the first time so my wife can try the swordfish and she loved the dish. I went with the chicken with potatoes and veggies and it was very good, I had also opted to go with a bowl of soup to start. It was everything you can hope for from a restaurant. For whatever reason we had failed to come back sooner due to the sheer amount of great options throughout the OC but it was never forgotten in my mind. After sometime we had made our way back and it was as good as I remembered. We opted during this visit to indulge in appetizers and some cocktails to go along with our meals. My wife went with the wild boar chili while I opted for a wedge salad to start and a Lyra cocktail to drink. Despite loving the chicken the first go around I opted for the short rib on this visit and it was just as delightful a choice. Tender, juicy and bursting with flavor. The server we had was fantastic and the entire staff really went the extra mile to ensure a great experience. We ended our meals with the pear cheesecake, which was a delicious ending and had a unique flavor profile that I loved. We recently returned for our third visit as a late anniversary/birthday dinner from my mom and all three of us enjoyed the experience. The short rib was just as good as before and my mom seemed to enjoy it as well as I did. My wife opted for the salmon this time around and seemed to enjoy that as well. The service again was on point and we again ended with a couple desserts. The pear cheesecake was still on the menu and we had to try it again, unfortunately it was quite a bit smaller and the recipe was different then before and despite being good was not what we had remembered and I preferred the first version much better. We also went with the flourless chocolate lava cake and I found it good but it had a strong espresso flavor to it that can possibly turn some off if that's not your thing. I highly recommend checking the place out for a nice evening dinner or for a special night out. They offer paid valet parking or free validated parking in the structure that sits just behind it. Tried Andrei's with a meetup group. Great service, nice specialty cocktail list and interesting variety of main course options. Parking is not very intuitive, drive past the restaurant and Park in a structure around 100 yards away, then navigate through the business buildings back to the restaurant. Or try the valet option. All food is locally sources from OC farms and fishermen. We live just across the street and have been eyeing this place since the outdoor patio is always visible as we talk our dog on walks around the complex. We finally decided to stop in for happy hour and I'm glad we did! The service was wonderful, the waiters were friendly and attentive. They also made sure to have the heaters on for the patio which made it nice and cozy even though it was a little colder when we stopped by. We ordered a smattering of things from the happy hour menu: truffle fries, tempura pickles, the pizza of the day (a barbecue chicken), and the tacos. The pizza was the standout, I didn't expect it to be so yummy but they really elevated it with the cilantro and fresh mini sweet peppers, it was delicious. The tempura pickles were not my personal favorite -- just a bit too greasy for my tastes. But the truffles fries were delish and my husband liked the tacos. It's a little pricey but considering the location I will definitely be back again to try a few more of the happy hour items. read more

I like their salads and French dips, especially the seafood salad. Their fish and meat dishes are also good. My friend loved their grilled cheese and soup, which I'll need to try next time. The Eton mess is probably my favorite dessert there, but they have other good ones. I enjoy their happy hour - good deals. They have an outdoor section as well which can be nice if that's what you prefer. They have a heater outside for colder nights. Overall, great ambiance. First of all, this restaurant is gorgeous with a very pleasant ambience. Our party of four was seated on the patio, which gave us a great view of the beautiful sunset. Good food, good drinks and it's convenient for me as I work 3 min walking distance from this location. I've had their lunch/dinner menu, went in just for drinks, or just had some coffee. They were always so friendly even though we had different server every time we went. Many of the times, their hosts seem not that experienced but they are very pleasant and were always nice. It really felt like a strange hotel bar, but bigger? Not sure how to explain it but it's within an industrial complex type building, parking is a bit far in a garage past some corporate buildings unless you valet, and food was really just underwhelming. I'm giving this an extra star because my main entree wasn't the worst. This whole experience was pretty forgettable, but I do have to say it was nice that we dined on a rooftop which was I guess the best part of the meal. Food took awhile to come out, the calamari we ordered was SOGGY. Like why was my fried food wet? It tasted like a lemon flavored casserole with a touch of fishy taste. Awful. Ordered some cauliflower as well, and the pieces were huge. I was a bit embarrassed to pull my phone out as my partner's mom took us to eat here, so I did not take photos of anything other than my french dip sandwich. I can't believe I forgot how amazing this place was! We came here a few years ago when we were out and about and enjoying life and I was a fan of their swordfish dish. Steven had their chicken. There is not much to say here other than me remembering what we ate, enjoying it, and we were happy with the service. Fast forward two or three years later and we stopped by last night. Now I am wondering why or how we forgot about this business and how amazing it was. We took advantage last night and enjoyed a number of things. I started out with a Pomerita to drink and Steven had the Lira drink. For appetizers I went with a cup of the wild boar chili and Steven had a wedge salad which consisted of gorgonzola cheese as opposed to your normal blue cheese. The wild boar chili is made fresh and from scratch. WOW! My mouth watered when it appeared in front of me, and it came with sides of shredded cheese, sour cream, and croutons. I used every bit. That was the first time I had wild boar and the chili was amazing!! For our entrees Steven opted for the short rib and I had the Scottish salmon. Both were amazing dishes. We both polished off our plates. Steven did wish that his dish was a little bigger but he said it was delicious, even the pickled veggies it came with. My salmon came on a pomegranate yogurt sauce with veggies and candied walnuts. It tasted amazing. The portion was perfect for me too. I recommend it. For dessert we had choices between bread pudding, pear cheesecake, carrot cake, or gelato/sorbet. I thought pear cheesecake sounded very weird and almost went with something else but we decided to try it. I am glad we did. The pear actually went well with it and their cheesecake was delicious! Our server Ryan was great and very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very attentive and picked up our glasses and plates as soon we we were done pretty much. Very friendly service all around, and my mouth is watering again thinking about the items I ate. I definitely want to come back soon. I don't see myself forgetting about them again. read more

I came here for a work dinner a while back and had a great experience! We ordered a bunch of amazing appetizers. The crab cones were super fresh and delicious. I loved the black angus spring rolls, crunchy and flavorful. I'm not usually a lamb person but I had a lamb lollipop, it was flavorful and tender. For my main dish, I ordered the short ribs which came with whipped potatoes and added a scallop. The ribs were tender and the potatoes were fluffy. The scallop was also super fresh. Don't forget dessert, I shared this amazing bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Honestly, I loved everything and definitely recommend checking them out. I have been to Andrei's many times. Ryan & Patrick in the front of the house are so kind. That overflows to the staff. The service is impeccable. I have a severe corn allergy (corn and corn derivatives), they always go out of their way to make sure I have a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience. I had lunch today with a friend. Chef made us a special seafood dish. It had grilled scallops & shrimp, on a bed of lettuce and was the most amazing thing I've had in such a long time. Trying to eat out with a corn allergy is really difficult. Corn derivatives are in everything. I could eat at Andrei's every day. The restaurant and bar is spotless, bathrooms are clean. When I've been there in the evening, the lights are not too low; you can still read the menu. It's a great date night location or girls night out! read more

delicious and high quality american style food! we came right towards the tail end of happy hour and managed to snag two orders of their delicious portobello fries, which were crunchy, tender, and a great start. we also got the fish tacos appetizer, which consisted of three mini tacos, which were packed with a generous portion of fish, vegetables, and sauce. they were also juicy and flavorful. the fries were truffle parmesan, served with ketchup, and the flavorings were pretty standard. for the main course, we ordered the mushroom pici pasta, which had a subtle lavender flavor in the cream. the noodle texture were reminiscent of a thicker lo mein, and they were bouncy and well cooked. the mushrooms in the sauce were flavorful and tender as well. the scallops were accompanied by a celery root mash that was pleasant but not overwhelming. the fried onions on top of the scallops were crunchy and aromatic, and the scallops were cooked to be perfectly succulent and tender. we also got the flourless chocolate lava cake, which was good, but i would probably just stick with the savory items. would recommend! read more

I was referred to Andrei's by a couple folks with whom I struck up a conversation while visiting another local favorite spot. The appeal was that it was a place that they visited with regularity because of the solid food, the tasty beverages and the nice atmosphere. After taking their recommendation, I gave Andrei's a try and must say that the recommendation was very spot on. For starters, Andrei's is not easily noticed as a restaurant due to its location. It sits among commercial buildings, but don't let that deter you. It has a comfortable interior with lots of space for you to enjoy a comfortable outing with outdoor seating and decent views. Flying solo, I took a spot at the bar and got a good sense that there are regulars that are pretty friendly and come because of what it has to offer. There is a pretty extensive selection to choose from with something for everyone. If you are selective in your wines, I would suggest that you bring in one of your favorites as you might be more satisfied taking that route. To dine, I went with the recommendation of the mixologist, Patrick, and chose the special for the evening. The Filet was cooked perfectly and was given several options regarding the starch. I went with the Gnocchi which was a great alternative. The special included a dessert, something that I never order, but that evening it was a tasty addition. Andrei's is a great place to enjoy with friends for happy hour or for a quiet tasty dinner for a smaller group. The food was solid and I will certainly return again, as it was a great value for the pleasant evening of food and drink. A few suggestions, parking is not entirely convenient, but the valet is the way to go. If you are sitting at a table, make a reservation, but stroll in if you are going to sit at the lounge. Wish I had discovered this place sooner. Found this spot during the pandemic and have become a regular here as I feel safe coming. Shin, our server, is amazing and always gives us outstanding customer service. He makes really good cocktails ( means a lot coming from someone who is picky when it comes to her drinks) and he now knows exactly how I like my drinks- refreshing ;) im a huge spicy margarita fan and he makes the best ones. You must ask for him to make you one! He also has a lot of knowledge on the different types of wines and recommends good ones according to your taste. I'm a cab girl and the types of cabs he has recommended to me I've loved. My girlfriends and I always come here and ask for him to be our server. He always ensures that we have our drinks, apps and meals exactly the way we like them. For apps we normally start with the calamari, fries ( truffle, sweet potato or mushroom), lamb chops or a cheese board. ALL of these are delicious- can't go wrong! I personally am not a huge fan of the mushroom fries, however, my friends and family love them. I'm more of a sweet potato fries type of girl ;) For dinner I would recommend their chicken or salmon. My dad enjoyed their steak. The Brussels are my favorite side. My favorite dessert is the chocolate pot de creme. Biscottis with chocolate..yum! who doesn't love that? In addition, I love the ambiance. They have a rooftop patio and it's so nice to sit outside especially while the sun is out sipping on a glass of some champs. I've been here 3 times for various occasions. The first time was good. The second time was fair. The third time was not-so-good. I think it depends on how many wait staff they have at the time. I have been enjoying this restaurant over the years as I have traveled to Irvine on Business. It's conveniently located in the same parking lot as the courtyard Marriott hotel, which is super convenient when traveling. I've always enjoyed all of the food and ambience here. Some of my absolute favorites are the portobello mushroom fries, the Mediterranean dip tray, and the chop salad. The food is always delicious, very fresh and served rather quickly. Went here for a work dinner, ordered the snapper (market fish) and they were supposed to de-bone it at the table. The person who did it seemed really intimidated and did it in a way I've never seen before that left a lot of bones in the fish and was quite sloppy since they never actually cut the head at all. Overall, the place is easy to find and had a really nice atmosphere. The server we had was awesome, but the food was a bit overpriced for what we actually got. read more
