I stopped in here on a whim, as it was the closest (open) pizza place to the bar I was leaving, and I would have been happy with anything hot and greasy, but was pleasantly surprised to have what is now my favorite slice I've had in NYC. I got the plain cheese slice and a vodka slice. I ate the cheese slice piping hot while walking to the subway, and it was very good. Flavorful through all layers -- crust, sauce, cheese. Greasy but not too greasy, crispy crust. 10/10! I had the vodka slice after getting back to my hotel, and it was ice cold (through no fault of the restaurant, let me be clear). I could have microwaved it, but was feeling lazy. It didn't matter, because even cold and congealed, it was great. Again -- crust, sauce, and toppings were all flavorful. Delicious vodka sauce. Crispy crust. 11/10! I can only imagine how good it would have been if I ate it hot when they handed it to me! If plain cheese is this good, and a cold slice is this good, I'd imagine a non-cheese slice, hot, would be otherworldly. I don't generally care all that much one way or another about the service nor the interior of a grab and go pizza place, but I will say, the people working here were very friendly, even late at night. Quick, cheap and delicious! Good pizza doesn't always mean there has to be a line around the corner. This pie shop has a variety of options that you can order by the slice so that you can try more than 1. The thin NY style slices were large and scrumptious , but the thicker rectangular slices were not a hit. The thicker ones were pretty dry and had the consistency of styrofoam, so I wouldn't recommend those. Here is what we found: - We were so hungry for good pizza that we ordered a full pie (for my wife and I). We ate half of it in the shop and took the rest back to our Airbnb for later (which was excellent microwaved the next day). - The Margarita pizza was really great! - The shop is a little small and was a bit crowded the evening we came in (probably made more so due to the rain), but we found a place to sit and the tables turned over quickly. - We liked that the guy who took our order remembered us, and brought the pizza and plates directly to us at our table. The pizza slices here are 50% larger than most of the other slices that you would find in the city. Moreover, I counted at least ten different variations and styles of pizza. From NY style to deep dish thick crust pizza. I ordered just two regular cheese slices and it was awesomely delicious. It was also served hot, almost too hot, and I needed to give it a few minutes to cool down. When I walked in, I was greeted by someone in charge and he took my order without hesitation. They have more than enough seating, and it truly is a full-service Italian restaurant right in the middle of the city. First off, the guy who works here is fantastic. So friendly and so funny, provided you don't get upset by a flirtatious Italian man. I'm old so I ate it up and my kids were rolling their eyes at me. The pizza was ooey gooey and yummy. As is tradition in NY, the slices were large and foldable and that's exactly how I ate it. This was my kids' first time having NY pizza and I got mixed reviews from them. The boy was in heaven. The girl thought the sauce was slightly sweeter than she would like. I personally do not generally like a sweet tomato sauce either, but I disagreed with her and I did not think it was too sweet. Basically this was a serviceable, if not super tasty Neopolitan style pizza in a basic pizza joint environment. Would come again if I lived in the area. But, bottom line, nothing like a freshly baked pizza right out of the pizza oven and with plenty of mozzarella cheese oozing off the pizza dough bread. As opposed to pre cooked pizza at the window for reheating. The Modelo beer out of the fridge was at best room temp not real cold like the American way! The Greek salad was put together and that's the best that can be said about this salad. At least all the greens, tomatoes, cucumbers wete fresh. I'm here in NYC as my daughter ran the NYC marathon. Proud fatherly moment. We had freshly cooked Margherita pizza in some hole in the wall pizzeria in Harlem and that pizza was damn good... NY style! Andiamo Pizza is little place around the corner from ALoft, in between Chelsea, Flatiron, and Korea Town.  I was strolling Korea Town and stumbled into a gem. It's a mom and pop place owned by an Italian family, I think.  It sounded like they were speaking Italian!?And some of their customers sounded like they were speaking Italian too.  Which I love watching the interactions.This place must be good if Italian people are coming here too right?  And the other customers looked like locals, not tourists.  The venue is very small, old and quaint.
