We have been to a few other locations before but this one is right around the corner from our house now and we figured it was a nice night for some ice cream plus some dinner. My son got the cotton candy ice cream and ate the whole bowl quicker than his own dinner. I ended up getting the burger and curly fries here. It was cooked perfectly and curly fries have to be one of the best kinds of french fries out there. They were great. My wife got the Beef on Weck and said it seems like it got smaller since the last time she was there but still tasted pretty good. The horseradish was fantastic for it as well. We opted to eat outside and soak up the last couple days/weeks of weather before it gets too cold. The service was quick. We ordered and found a spot outside at a table. Everything was clean and picked up. This is a great spot to go and they even have a drive-thru here so we will be able to come back in the colder months without even having to get out of the car. read more

The roast beef over cooked seriously over . Cajun fries burnt . The chocolate shake was good. I know they just opened, but you would think that they know how to cook a roast beef consider considering they have so many stores. I went to the one on Sheridan and it was perfect. Well its been a while since we came to eat here. It was so good, lots of options to choose from. The food was really good, service was great they brought our food out to us, so you know it was fresh and of course we couldn't leave without some dessert. It was so good to relax and enjoy a meal here and we did come back a few weeks later for my son's birthday cake. Everything is fresh and delicious! read more

I had been away from our local Anderson's for a bit and found some pleasant changes upon my return. I noticed that they had changed their soft drinks at the soda fountain and I think it was a good change. I try to stay away from sodas as much as I can so I was happy to find that unsweetened ice tea was now available. I appreciated the healthier option! I also noticed that the fries were better than before.... I'm not sure if I just hit it on the right night, but whoever was at work the deep fryer really nailed the fries... they were piping hot and crispier than what I remembered previously. The side of gravy that I always order with my fries also seemed different. It had more flavor than on my prior visits. The Carl's choice sandwich was as steady as ever... that is my go to at Anderson's and it did not disappoint. The people at the register were welcoming and friendly. And the food came out quickly. The ambiance is nice and has not changed since my last visit, but if you have not been to this location in a while, they did do a nice renovation a couple of years back. I always enjoy Anderson's for a roast beef sandwich and a frozen custard when I am treating myself. read more

Ordered a chocolate milkshake made with hard vanilla ice cream. Got home & realized they made it with coconut ice cream. Absolutely disgusting, threw it right in the garbage. Another mistake by a fast food worker who thinks they deserve $20+/hr. Time to add Andersons to my "screw up our order, never returning again" list. read more

I'm watching orders for door dash go to the shelves faster than customer orders being taken. Worse, the kiosk they have is completely useless and clumsy. Then you have the audacity to suggest an auto-tip. You are out of your minds. Choose your priorities carefully here, Andersons. read more

I love coming here the food is always good, I order the angus cheese burger which was delicious and the two people I went with mainly come here for their roast beef which they say is absolutely delicious, I've never tried it myself so next time. My family of four decided to try their food out because I was craving ice cream. I have to say, the price was reasonable and the food was pretty good. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and sweet potato fries, I could have used some honey for dipping. The ice cream was so so good! I had the Choco-Peanut Butter Passion sundae and it was just what I was craving! Service was nice and our order came out correct. read more

Love the custard here. Usually go at night & service is great, but not today, Thursday July 10 at 3:00. There was a family of 3 when I walked in. There were 6 employees, (a group of 3 young girls standing around talking). After about 4 minute a young man waited on the family. Another customer came in after me. The 3 girls still were talking and giggling unaware or didn't look up to see customers. I was getting annoyed. Finally, Kayla came over and asked the family if they were waited on. I told her yes, and I was next. She asked what I wanted, like I was putting her out. The other girls name was Ashley. I wasn't able to see the other girls name, but she was working takeout, although there wasn't a customer at the time. As I was leaving the 3 group of girls were again congregating together towards the back near the office. Lets hope the manager explains to them about customer service read more

A must have every time I come to town. The beef on weck is amazing. They have Logan every juice on tap (which is rare in most other parts of the country). The Italian ice is delicious. And of course the frozen custard is necessary. read more

Wow! I came here on recommendation of someone I knew from Buffalo, while I was traveling through the area. From now on, this will be my first stop when in the Buffalo area! I cant believe how good this fast casual restaurant is! I came for the pistachio custard. I am a huge pistachio fan and it is hard to find where I live in the midwest. This pistachio custard was the best pistachio "ice cream" ive ever had. It is a rotating flavor so check their website for dates and locations of rotating flavors (they have a calendar). I was impressed by the huge menu and decided to order another specific to Buffalo food, the Beef on Weck. What this is, is tender roast beef, ideally with horseradish, on a kummelweck roll (wow I love this roll btw). What a great sandwich! I capped off my meal with some cajun curly fries which were just the right crispy and seasoned combo. The staff here was so friendly and helpful to a newbie, and even some friendly patrons in line with me heard it was my first time and started gushing about the place and giving recommendations! There is a ton of seating inside, along with a small patio outside. It is clean and has ample parking. There is a freezer case with many take home ice cream cakes. Dont forget to check out their monthly specials board! read more

They have excellent Roast Beef and curly q fries. Very friendly service, and it's always clean.

Amazing homemade custard! They have a rotating flavor that changes every few days. Each location is a bit different so check their "custard calendars" on their site. This is the first time I tried their chocolate orange mariner and I'm hooked. It brought me back to Easters when I would get those Terry's chocolate oranges in my basket. So good! read more

I'm from Syracuse, and don't go to Buffalo often. When I'm out of town and stop for a meal, I try to keep it relevant. From everything we'd heard and read, this place screams relevant. This was our first Beef on Weck experience. As a regional dish, its image is synonymous with a sense local pride. Our blind take after cutting through the noise was simply that quality roast beef sandwiches are always delicious, and this is yet another way to enjoy them. We were expecting it to resemble a pretzel roll, but it ate more like an everything bagel. I knew enough to douse it with enough horseradish to power wash my sinuses with every bite. I regret not adding mustard or banana peppers to compliment it with something acidic. If nothing else, I'd come back for the sweet potato fries. I've never seen anything like the marshmallow drizzle they use, and it worked beautifully. We ate them on our drive back to Syracuse, and they held up great even an hour into the trip, as most fries are so well known not to do. After looking up the place, we were sad to have missed the pistachio flavor soft serve. They have a calendar on their website which maps out the special flavors across all their locations. We were in town for Strawberry, which didn't disappoint. The dipped waffle cone had that artificial sweet chocolate taste a lot of pre-bought cones come with. I would definitely go for a Sundae if I went here again. I didn't know they made their own hard ice cream until I read the reviews after. Lastly for what it's worth, their soft drinks are off-brand, but we were weirdly fond of the Cola we ordered. All in all, this was a great lunch, but a light one at about $35.00. At $7.50 a piece, it's a stretch to justify a sandwich even this good unless I'm straight up jonesing for quality before another meal soon to follow. read more

The beef tasted delicious and the service was prompt but the rest was a huge miss. The staff was rude when I normally pointed out they messed up on my order, the turkey was terrible, the baked potato was under cooked, and the pop had ran out of juice. Roast beef is phenomenal. Love the Dole whip. fast service. Wish there was one closer in the South towns!

Carl's choice is a very good beef on weck. For the price most say it's excellent and you don't have to wait in a bar for an hour to get in. You call them on the telephone and 10 mins later you have a great tasting sandwich for under $10. Take a drive back home top it off with your favorite dink and your in heaven. read more

This location is right down my street-- literally. Before my vegetarian days, we would come here often. As an early vegetarian, I still enjoyed their ice cream and black bean burger. However, when I went vegan I began to feel a bit left out. Within the last few years, that has changed. Andersons has a veggie wrap to accompany the burger for savory eats, and even dairy-free hard serve ice cream. My mom has enjoyed the wrap numerous times, and the burger is standard fare. As for the ice cream, I was hesitant for awhile. I am a coconut bloodhound-- if it has coconut milk/oil in it, I can taste it. I don't mind coconut per say, but if I am having something that is not solely coconut flavored, I don't want to taste it. With my birthday coming up, I got my annual free coupon. I took a chance tonight, and it was worth it! As of 6/2021, this location has raspberry chunk, coconut chocolate almond, and cappuccino. I had my heart set on the raspberry, but I didn't know they recently came out with cappuccino too. Next time. Plant based shakes are available if you are into that sort of thing. The lemon ice is also suitable for all, and you can get it with strawberries too. The ice cream was unbelievably creamy, and no coconut aftertaste. You would never suspect it was made from non-dairy milk. It reminded me of the raspberry chocolate melts in a candy box. My mom sneaked a bite and she knows what flavor to get next time. The non-dairy flavors are about .50 more, which isn't too bad. I am glad we can all enjoy Anderson's once again, and hope for more vegan options in the future. read more

I freaking LOVE Anderson's ice cream. I always get the Oreo ice cream, and it is hands down the BEST oreo/cookies and cream ice cream I have ever had in my life. I LOVE ice creams that have a high cookie to cream ratio, and Anderson's Oreo ice cream is chock full of oreo cookies! Can't get enough of it. Thankfully, Anderson's is open during the quarantine, so that we can get our ice cream fix. I did pickup, and I was very happy to see that they have a sign up in the kitchen area reminding workers to wipe down areas, take their temperature, exercise caution. Stay safe everyone! read more

The women who took care of our order was exceptional! Food was delicious. Best Roast beef ever with great staff. Thank you!

Well hello there, COMPLETE SATISFACTION. It was very nice to finally meet you (at Anderson's). Did you know September 8th was 99₵ Cone Day at Anderson's? Put it on your schedule for next year because it's a thing. I would normally be willing to trade a new born baby for a scoop of Anderson's ice cream, but on Septemebr 8th I got myself a giant scoop of some of the creamiest, most decadent ice cream one can find in Western New York for a fraction of the price. Unfortunately, Anderson's won't allow multiple scoops for that price. For obvious reasons, I wanted a cone with two scoops of ice cream and they refused to comply with my requests. So, I said, "Fine. I'll take two ice cream cones then.", and I got them both for 99₵ each. I'm a huge mint chip ice cream kind of guy. Naturally, I also like Oreo cookies and fudge. So when I realized that Anderson's makes Mint Oreo Fudge ice cream I almost suffered a stroke but caught myself before it was too late (a close one). BEST ICE CREAM EVER. The mere thought of scoring scoops of that ice cream for 99₵ was almost too difficult to imagine. But fate would see it a different way that day. Instead of getting the two ice cream cones each with Mint Oreo Fudge I had ordered, my server accidentally gave me two cones of mint chip instead. I got about 4-5 licks deep before I caught the error and when I let her know what happened, she apologized to me and gave me two more scoops of the Mint Oreo Fudge for free! read more

Cold food. Overpriced. Very small portion size. Overall a poor experience and I will not be back.

We were near this particular Anderson's after a long day of hiking. We got our usual: 2 hot turkey sandwiches with curly fries and gravy on everything. It was as good as all the other Anderson's we've been to, although this one had a pretty lengthy line. Custard is great, service is great. Place is clean. If you've never been to Anderson's, give it a try, you won't be unhappy! read more

I'm very picky about Beef on Weck but I do like the version sold at Anderson's. The beef is tender and not overcooked. It's not as good as Bar-Bill or Charlie the Butcher but it is still better than the roast beef served at most establishments, and the fact that it is cooked medium/medium-rare sets Anderson's in at least the top 10 for Beef on Weck. Curly Q Fries are also pretty good. I think the prices are a little high for a fast-food atmosphere, but considering the quality of the sandwich, I'll still stop here frequently. read more

Andersons serves high quality ice cream that is handmade. Typically, I prefer custard but when I go to Anderson's I only get ice cream. I decided to try their graham cracker crunch and peanut butter yogurt. Both were great decisions! The best part is that our ice cream was 50% off! Did you know that they offer a 50% discount on ice cream when it's snowing?!?!? Because of this, I was happy to see snow in May :). They also participate in Erie County's Thank a Vet discount program. Gotta love any place that loves the men and women that have served our country! read more

Anderson's has a promotion that if it is snowing cones are half price- wrong! According to the lady at the front taking orders it was not snowing enough and falling from the sky- whatever that means because it's not windy and falling from trees.
