We had an absolutely awesome experience with Andersen Heating and Cooling! Our HVAC units were 25 years old and needed replacing. We called 4 companies to give us estimates. Andersen was the first company to give the estimate. When Hector arrived from Andersen to give us the estimate, he asked us what we wanted to achieve by replacing the units, if we had a brand preference and what was most important to us. After inspecting the units, he returned to the house to tell us he would like to call his engineer, Jake, just to be sure what he was recommending, a 2.5 ton vs a 3 ton unit, was what was best for us. Jake came and joined Hector. They measured the exterior of the house and counted the windows. They pointed out that our plenum boxes on the furnace were disintegrating and that one of our returns was too small not allowing the furnace to breathe properly so they recommended replacing both of those. They were not pushy about this and left it up to us to decide if we wanted to do these extra things. They simply pointed out that doing these things would be beneficial by helping the units be more efficient. My husband and I both were very pleased with Hector and Jake and the fact that they took the extra time to make sure they were doing the best thing for our house. We did our due diligence and met with the other 3 companies. Most of them spent less than 15 minutes with us. They didn't measure, didn't mention the Plenum boxes or the return. I even asked one salesman about the return and he told me he thought it was fine. Another salesman showed me a picture of a hole in the Plenum box and suggested we buy metal tape to seal it, but not replace it. After reviewing the estimates, we chose Andersen, not because of price, but because we felt they would take good care of us. We scheduled the install with them and Dalton and Sean showed up on time as promised. They were pleasant young men and they worked hard all day and stayed until the job was completed. It was an 11 hour day for them but they never complained and just kept at it. Jake stopped by a few times throughout the day to check on their progress and he even cut the return larger himself to be sure it was correct. I can't say enough good things about this company. We are fairly new to NC so we had to rely on co-workers to ask what companies they knew about. We lucked out with Andersen and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their HVAC! After living in Orlando, FL for thirty-two years, and working with the same A/C vendor for all of that time, finding a new one upon our move to Charlotte three years ago was at the top of the "to do" list, and we found that relationship with Andersen Heating & Cooling. I met with four different A/C & heating vendors and was most impressed with Andersen, so much so that we entered into a maintenance contract with them (which we had done with our prior vendor and strongly recommend). Our current unit was 12 years old and patched together we knew it wasn't long for this world. This past Friday, April 26th, Andersen installed a new Lennox unit in our home. The entire process was flawless and exceeded our expectations. Jake and Faiz were a great team. They phoned in the a.m., letting us know they were en route. They covered our floors and rugs to protect them from dirt and debris. They worked hard and non-stop for well over six hours straight - period. It's so easy to gripe and complain when something goes wrong, but we seldom take the time to shout out "kudos!" when something goes right or better than we anticipated. Prior to departing, everything was clean and tidy. The unit was up and running and the difference was night and day in the home's humidity level alone. Jake demonstrated the thermostat and answered all of our questions. He even took us outside to point out how quiet the unit is. And this WAS important to us as our guest bedroom is on the other side of the wall where the outside unit is located. We couldn't be more pleased and truly, that is how we have felt about Andersen since their first visit to our home three years ago. We learned a long time ago that finding a good A/C and heating company is as vital as finding a good mechanic or doctor. You don't want to be making that kind of decision under pressure, especially when your equipment isn't working. Four thumbs up! read more

The staff was professional and knowledgeable from start to finish. They have been our go to for everything heating and air related since they installed my last system over 20 years ago. Our furnace wouldn't start the first day we tried to use it. I called Andersen's and they had Ed out to take a look within a few hours. He identified the issue quickly and found some corrosion inside causing a small gas leak!! He immediately took care of that but the system had been damaged by a water leak to the point that it was dangerous. The parts to temporarily fix the problem costed about half of a new system. Ed worked with us to find the right replacement for our house and our budget. We ended up with a completely new system at a great price. I did my research and the system that he recommended and the price were right on point. Wasn't expecting to have to buy a new system and was skeptical at first but they really explained everything so I could understand the problems I was having and how much putting a "band aid" on it was going to end up costing me. Within 18 hours I had a whole new system installed!! All of the staff were great. Punctual, professional, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and went the extra mile with tips to keep things running smoothly and efficiently with the new system. My new system works great and is already SAVING me money monthly just like they said!! I couldn't be happier. I have tried a few other companies for service calls over the years they really just don't measure up. Andersen is the standard that I compare other companies to and I always end up back with them. Andersen HVAC continues to deliver quality service and customer care at my home. In addition to a better than promised new HVAC install earlier this year, Omar came to my home with Mark on 10/3 to help me determine the source of a water leak around a microwave vent. Dale Andersen let me know the company no longer worked with builders doing initial installs but would send his team to inspect the vent and try to diagnose the problem since the builder was unable to determine the cause of water coming into my home after repeated efforts over a nine year period. After removing the microwave, reviewing my history with the builder's efforts to eliminate incoming water, and inspecting the vent inside and out, Omar from Andersen was able to determine in less than 30 minutes there were no defects in the vent system. Omar discovered the brick above the external vent cover was the initial and ongoing cause of the incoming water problem. He provided a temporary fix and suggested options I might consider to remedy the problem. I am so grateful for the skilled team and the customer care Andersen HVAC continues to provide me for my home maintenance care. read more

I've used Andersen Heating & Cooling for about 20 years, and I've been very pleased with their service and responsiveness. I've had them install 2 completely new systems over that time, and they've done a nice job with each installation. Whenever I've had an issue, they've come out quickly and always worked to minimize the cost of the repair if it wasn't under warranty. When I recently had an issue with one of the new A/C compressors due to a defect from the manufacturer, Andersen worked to quickly get a new unit in and deal with the manufacturer issue afterward. Special thanks to Dale Andersen for his attention to the issue. Also, I want to recognize Paul Walker who did a fantastic job both for the recent installation of my upstairs system, and for the follow-up work to replace the compressor. He is very experienced and thorough, and was always pleasant and attentive while working through a very tough and hot job. Having a great technician like Paul makes for a great customer experience. I have lived in my home for six years with a Carrier unit that was installed by Andersen during the original build so that's who I initially called whenever I needed a repair. I was always very happy with them and never had a negative experience. All of the technicians and everyone I have ever spoken with from there has been friendly and helpful beyond my expectations. I'm always skeptical about repair companies because of what seems to be high prices but they've been relatively reasonable - nothing is cheap with HVAC. I still tried to save a buck and have a few other companies come for repairs and you absolutely get what you pay for - terrible and pieced together work that doesn't last from season to season. Today, I was expecting the worst when my heat wouldn't come on and was so happy with technician Brian (Bowers? Bauer?). He was so courteous and friendly and patient with me while answering my questions and explaining my options to find me the best solution to fit my budget. I can't recommend him, or Andersen, enough. I have been with Andersen Heating and Cooling since 1999 when I bought my new home. My Dad had his own business in Heating and Air and he taught me the importance of twice yearly maintenance and today after 19 years with the same unit I decided not to push my luck for another year and I had a newer and better unit installed at the suggestion of Julie who has been servicing my unit for quite a few years now (I ask for her to do my inspections)! I trust her without a doubt in everything she does and suggests! We've been on a maintenance contract with Anderson for a few years now. The upstairs unit started making a lot of noise and we noticed that we were no getting air so we called on Mother's Day. Anderson didn't make it to our house until late Monday and when Nathan arrived, he looked at the outside equipment and informed us that we need to replace the fan motor, but the unit is 16 years and time for a replacement, so we scheduled to have a new unit put in. I have to say that Nathan is fantastic!!! He's friendly and appears to be concerned about the consumer and what we are receiving. Once unit was ordered, service was phenomenal. We started using Andersen last year and I am not going back to anyone else. I request the same technician (Hector) each time because he explains what he's doing and why and doesn't do unnecessary work. Honesty and someone who knows what they are doing - it's what I look for. I recently had to replace my units and got 3 quotes from Andersen that beat the other quotes I received elsewhere. Hector and Elvis did the install in a day working from garage to attic. Very respectful people, very smart and again, like Hector, explained what they did and then walked me through the setup. I have an annual maintenance plan with Andersen and I will keep my technician as I am finally comfortable with a company. Honesty and integrity......and affordability. I finally found it. read more

We have used Andersen Heating & Cooling service for the last four years. Last Sunday our HVAC unit stopped working. Within a few hours Ryan arrived and within a very short time determined we needed a new unit. This was on a week-end and during a very long hot spell. We were told there was no opening until Wednesday. The next day we received a call saying they could do it on Tuesday. Jake and Shawn arrived Tuesday morning and soon had everything under control. We found out they had worked until 9 pm the night before to be able to move us up to Tuesday. I call that very good service and we appreciate having a cool house so quickly. I had an AC problem on Labor Day (9-3-18) and called Andersen. My first thought was that it would probably be the next day, due to this being a holiday and their heavy workload. I was extremely happy to hear that I would be worked into the schedule for same day service. Mark arrived that afternoon and quickly had cool air flowing. We were originally installed with the bare bones builder grade A/C unit. When the blower failed we called Andersen because we had a service contract with them. They gave us a quote to solve our problem, but also offered a solution to the poor system. Also, they applied a portion of the service contract to our new unit, so we got a discount. Not only were they able to work out a financing deal, but solved the problem the same day. It's a 100 degrees in the house, and yet these guys came with a solution the same day. That kind of service is unheard of. I am overwhelmed at the level of detail, and every person we dealt with from the GM, to the tech, to the installer were just phenomenal. read more

Omar and Elvis showed up at 7:30am to install two new AC units and two new furnaces. They were polite and kind, and Omar was more than happy to answer any questions I had. Any mess they made was completely cleaned up, and they made sure to cover the stairs and the hardwood floor at the front door so that nothing would be scratched or stained in removing the furnaces from the attic. It took them only 5 hours to completely remove and install all 4 massive pieces of equipment, and for the first time in a week our upstairs is a normal, dry temperature. We recently had our downstairs heating and cooling system replaced. Nelson, our technician has helped us nurse our 20 year old system for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, we ran out of band aides. The good news was that Anderson has a team or great individuals. Nelson recommended we get the unit replaced and Jake and an Anderson associate made the switch out in about 4 hours. Considering how cold it was that day I was most impressed. They were very careful with their install and removal and Jake made sure that I knew how to work the new thermostat prior to leaving. I have had a service contract with Andersen Heating & Cooling since I bought my house in January 2007. They have always been prompt, professional, and more than courteous in their dealings with me--both from the office staff and the several servicemen who have provided service over the years; I have never had a less than pleasant experience with anyone representing Andersen. They have kept my two furnaces and two air conditioners in top operating shape, and I believe they have saved me money, but I know they have saved me from hassles due to loss of heating or air-conditioning. Jake and Kevin arrived at my home within the time frame I was given by the office. They explained the process, and asked if I had any questions. Except from the front door opening and closing, I would not have know they were here! They even asked for a vacuum cleaner to clean up any particles that had fallen from the attic. Sadly we had to have both of our HVAC units replaced today. On a positive note our service technician, Ed McGrath, took his time and explained what we needed for our home, how the process would work, and then was patient as I asked all of my questions. Today Omar and Johnathan put in our new systems. They were professional, polite, and were hard workers.
