We have been with Prime Comfort since 2017, when they installed our Trane HVAC system. We have had no problems with our heating or air conditioning systems. Our yearly heat and air maintenance has been performed by great technicians. This morning, our yearly AC system check was performed by technician Nick. He called ahead, arrived on time, was very professional and knowledgeable, and explained the results. This is a response to the owners comments. Thank you for your reply but it seems you might have misunderstood what my review said. I did not say that the installation was unprofessional or that the HVAC system did not work well. I also did not say that certificates, etc. did not match the equipment that was installed. Our family was told there would be a specific type of system installed. However, a different type was installed and we were not informed in advance. After several inquiries, our family representative received a phone call but no one would respond to the multitude of questions submitted in a follow-up email from our family rep. To reiterate, the property has already been sold. No additional follow-up is needed from Prime Comfort as I'm sure the new owners will choose their own HVAC company. read more

Excellent company excellent people. Had them install a brand new dual fuel unit last year, runs perfectly. Just had a yearly check up with Billy Cole, he showed up right on time as agreed, talked me through any issues I might have have between now and the install. I had some water damage in a bathroom on the second floor and asked him to check to make sure that it wasn't coming from the system. Sure enough the installers had done everything correctly. Billy took his time, and went up and above his job to find out what was causing the leak. Told me it was a broken seal on one of the vent pipes coming out of the roof. He didn't have to go that far but it was very neighborly of him to do so. He even went so far as to tell me how to fix it and what he has used on his own home to fix the same issue. This company not only responded to my Friday same day service call, but fixed my system the very next Monday with an install of 2 much needed Cooling Coils. "Adam", the service technician was assisted by his Operations Manager at 8 AM at my house ready to get the job done. Not only did they do a supurb job, but found a few discrepancies that were done by other companies and corrected them for safety of the client free of charge. This afternoon my air conditioning cut out, and after a quick Yelp search I called Prime Comfort. Kevin was very helpful and offered to have a tech out later today (4-6PM). When I asked if someone could come sooner since I had plans later, he offered to check and call me back. Within 5 minutes he was calling to say a tech was en route to my house. Adam, the tech, was polite and professional. He diagnosed the problem right away, and within 2 hours of my original call to Kevin, my air was back up and running better than ever. Not only did Adam fix the problem, he took the time to explain what went wrong and show me pictures of the before and after too. Customer Interaction: 0 stars. I called Prime Comfort for an instance of helping me resolve a tenant heat issue in the first week of January. Brrrr! I was on a trip out of state when the incident happened and told the dispatcher (Becky? Beverly? It was a B-name... Ha! How appropriate!) as much. She told me that the technician would call me to verify the repair so I waited to hear back. The phone never rang, but this is not uncommon since the call was placed just before 3pm, I figured that they were busy and could not make it out. The next morning, I check my phone, 1 call missed from Prime about 45 minutes earlier... funny, but I had left my phone in the cabin while I took my morning walk, so I figured it must have rang at that point. Without checking the message, I returned the phone call immediately. I got B-name dispatcher on the phone who just lit into me for not answering my phone (which only just rang 3/4 of an hour before!) I was taken aback and waited for her to calm down. She never did while we were on that initial phone call. She proceeded to tell me about their policies and procedures, that she had made notes in their system on ALL of my properties about how I was unresponsive and irresponsible owner. I was beside myself before interrupting her tirade to ask her if she remembered who the customer was? Who is paying her salary ultimately? She kept on lecturing me how it is my responsibility to care for my business... yes, that's right, MY business! I laughed at the ridiculous insinuation. Double checked my call log, nothing except for the one call this morning. It MAY be that the phone, being where I was, didn't actually have a strong enough connection to the network. I credit Prime with doing what they say they did. I told her that much. But what I will NEVER stand for, is being insulted by a vendor... and I don't care HOW responsive you have been in the past, you DO NOT get my future business. That, Prime Comfort, is MY policy for MY company and MY business. For the record, I had been a customer of theirs for 3 years prior, they mostly did a good job, but, in truth the previous engagement for system installation at my last rehab was far and away sub par. Most of the technicians, especially, the one I spoke with just now, are great. They had a dud on their payroll around this time last year. Don't remember the name, but they are NOT and exceptional company and are NOT immune to customer attrition. I am a deeply loyal customer, but only if I am treated with a modicum of respect. Prime Comfort, your ship with my company has sailed. You are dead to us for future considerations. It may be that I need a better cellular network to support my tenants going forward, but that is another decision with another vendor. read more

I highly recommend Prime Comfort and their awesome crew. I did a lot of research for a reliable HVAC company. I checked yelp, BBB, Natural Piedmont Gas and google reviews. This company is 5 stars across the board. They are also BBB accredited with an A rating. All of the staff we encountered are very prompt, friendly and hardworking. We needed a whole new HVAC system. Prime Comfort came out Monday morning at 8:30am to get started. Three extremely nice gentlemen (Tim, Bobby & Ken) worked until 5:00pm to get all of the old out, the new in and installed. Then they cleaned up after themselves, tested the units, taught me how to use our new WIFI thermostat, and went over the final details of everything. They were even kind enough to be mindful of the doors and nose level (as much as possible) while my little one napped. They also alternated their lunch breaks so someone was always working until the job was completed. They made sure we were happy with everything and answered any questions we had before they left. With our new HVAC system we get a 2 year maintenance  program  (Prime Comfort services our HVAC two times a year for free). Prime Comfort has a 2 year service warranty and with our new Trane we have a 10 year parts warranty. Prime Comfort is sending us our permits, setting up our follow up inspection and really has made this whole ordeal pretty painless. All in all I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our heating unit went out and we knew it was time to shop around for a new HVAC system. I contacted a few other companies for quotes, but decided on Prime Comfort after reading some reviews and after meeting Bill who gave us 4 quotes to choose from. The team that showed up to replace our units were very friendly and professional. They also stayed later on the 2nd day which was a Friday so we would have heat over the weekend which we greatly appreciated. Prime Comfort did an HVAC system change-out for our condominium unit in Charlotte, NC. We were very happy with the quality, speed and professionalism of Prime Comfort's work. When our HVAC unit failed in January we knew it would be expensive to replace. We had obtained 5 different quotations from different local contractors, including the largest HVAC installer serving Charlotte (Morris-Jenkins). To our surprise there was a large degree of variety between the different quotes. Different HVAC hardware options, different maintenance packages, different warranty coverage, and very different prices. In the end we went with Prime Comfort after speaking with Chuck. Chuck is clearly a very experienced engineer with a panache for sales. I am a very detail oriented person and had done my homework on HVAC units and what I thought I would need. Chuck walked me through all of the options, all of my concerns, and justified the material and labor costs. He also threw in some freebies which we really wanted. Chuck uses a non-pushy, 'positive' sales method. Other contractors would rush to ask me who else I had received quotes from and scare me into not going with them. Chuck based his quote on the merits of Prime Comfort. It also helped that his quote was price competitive with other companies! We had our install done the same week the quote was finalized, and the job was completed with only one minor sizing complication that was resolved a day later. Because we are based remotely in California, it was critical that we received photos of the job and a high quality verbal description of what had been done. This was all received at a very high standard from Chuck. I also have to call out Barbara who was very persistent in ensuring our county inspections would be organized in a timely fashion, and of course for the continuing after-sales support. We are very happy with the job done to replace our HVAC system and Prime Comfort will be the only call for our future HVAC installation and servicing needs. They don't just take your money and run, they really stand by their work, and in the HVAC business this sense of responsibility is very important. read more

Last week I had a problem with my air conditioning. The AC was working but the fan wasn't blowing the air. I called Prime Comfort and luckily they had an appointment between 4 PM and 6 PM. The technician came out and told us that the fan motor needed to be replaced. Since it was already late he had to call about the parts in the morning. When he called back the next day he had bad news. The part wasn't available in stock and was a special order from the manufacturer. The estimated time to deliver the part was 17 days. Needless to say, the heat in the home was unbearable for sleeping. They called us with a possible temporary solution and the following day installed a fan to replace the broken fan in the unit. The temporary solution worked! And the best part was that the temporary solution was free of charge. I commend Prime Comfort on their customer service and quick response time.
