I had dinner at my favorite Chinese restaurant last night. The food was amazing, and all the ingredients were fresh. My favorites are the cold sesame noodles, egg rolls, and fried shrimp dipped in a sweet and spicy sauce. The most popular dish is the dumplings.

Had a fantastic dining experience at this Chinese restaurant! The dishes were flavorful, authentic. Service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and valued. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Chinese cuisine!

I have been underwhelmed with the Chinese takeout choice selections near me. Decided to give this place a try, and I have to say, it is definitely a contender. We got the bean curd with 8 precious, which is essentially braised bean with shrimp, chicken, beef, pork and mixed vegetable in oyster sauce. My son got his usual chicken with broccoli and we also got shrimp rice noodle dish. What I really liked about this place is that they are not skimpy with sauce and it doesn't overpower the food itself. My only complaint is I wish the shrimp rice noodle dish is a lot hotter temperature wise. It was bit cold while the other dishes were hot. The decor inside is very quaint and maybe one day, we will eat in there. But based off this takeout order, I am a fan for sure.

Enjoyed a quiet meal here, pricing was very reasonable and staff was nice. Was not full so was easy to social distance. Food was good and fresh which is always a plus, and hot! Will return. Fun Fact: they gave me pineapple chucks when done eating which I loved!

My go to place for some good chinese food. If it was closer to my home i would go a lot more but it is definitely closer than queens and Manhattan! Ive been eating there for years. We usually always get the pineapple fried rice. This time we decided to get the Emperors pork and beef with eggplant and garlic sauce. Everything tasted great. We ordered the plain udon with soup and that is one of the only things that was disappointing! The soup was bland and udons seem undercooked. Overall always love going here for food

I've had the sesame tofu, general tsos tofu, sesame noodles, and spicy noodles. They were all pretty good with decent portion sizes, although I wouldn't order the cold sesame noodles again since there was not enough sauce so it was like eating bland noodles.

They don't take reservations. After about 10 minutes my friend and I plus 3 teens (my kids and a friend) were starving and Schnitzels was loud and crowded. We headed a few doors down to Sweet Mama's. Seated immediately. My friend and I shared the steak with penne dinner special and a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. My daughter ordered penne with butter off the kids menu. My son got a turkey burger and his friend got a grilled chicken sandwich on a hero instead of a wrap. Now the good -- portions were huge! My son could barely fit his burger in his mouth and it also had a half avocado on it. They didn't skimp. Steak with penne was delicious and so was the Cobb salad. We all shared off each other's plates because everything looked so amazing. Now the bad. My daughter's pasta was elbows, not penne as indicated on the menu. Not a catastrophe but she was looking forward to penne. Then - my son's friend put some ketchup on his plate for his fries. It was ,.. not red but brown. The bottle had an 8/25 expiration. We are in April 2026. We told the server and she said it's because it's the "simply ketchup" with no artificial dyes. She offered him ketchup packets "with fake dyes" but by that point he lost his appetite for fries. We grabbed ketchup from another table, same brand, Heinz Simply. You can see the difference in color. We showed the server and she acted annoyed. I told her we didn't want anyone getting sick on that ketchup and pointed out the expiration date. She rolled her eyes and said "oh I'll just throw it away." She kind of had an attitude and didn't even apologize. So that's why 4 stars. We'd go back but request not to have that server. The food is fantastic but watch your ketchup! If someone put it on a burger it would have been ruined.

In the middle, restaurant, and towards the back, a bar. Surprisingly at 11am, for a table of four, we waited about 10 mins for a table. We ordered a variety of things, from soup, to bennys and a mimosa flight. The mimosa flight was very cute but mine ended up tasting just like white wine. The real disappointment imo was the Belgian Waffle. Now I know, part of this is my fault, for expecting more than what the description laid out. But for $12 I got one crispy and tender waffle with powdered sugar and that was it. No side of fruit, no home fries, nothing. Everyone else enjoyed their food, which I was happy about! And service was wonderful. But for $12 for one waffle, this place may be a biiiiiiit overpriced for my liking.

The ambience is decent with a typical diner layout, plenty of booths, and a casual atmosphere. It is comfortable enough, but it feels a bit dated and could use some refreshing to make it more inviting. The service was ok. The staff was polite but not particularly attentive. It took a while to get seated even though there were open tables, and the wait for someone to take our order felt longer than it should have been. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. Sometimes it was easy to get a refill or ask a question, and at other times it felt like we were completely overlooked. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really impressed either. The food was also just ok. The menu is standard diner fare, which is fine, but several dishes needed more flavor or better execution. Portions were good, and everything came out warm, but the overall quality felt average at best. It is the type of meal that fills you up but doesn't leave you excited to return. Overall Millennium Diner delivers an acceptable dining experience, but it does not go beyond that. The service is ok, the ambience is ok, and the food is ok. It works when you need something quick and familiar, but it is not a place I would go out of my way for. Three stars feels fair.

That describes the last time I was at Nappi's Nook, over two years ago. Flash forward to this morning and we're looking at an update that shows a much different experience this time around. You see that first time at Nappi's was not long after they had opened. Kinks were definitely still being worked out and at the time, I just couldn't see it as a place worth choosing over other breakfast spots. But seeing reviews, awards, and that the place was still standing years later led my wife and I to come check them out again. This second time around we snagged a table (they definitely get crowded quickly) and had some very friendly service from our waitress. Things started with their Nappicinos which were a huge misfire that first time, but a definite improvement today. My wife got the Biscoff variety while I got the Peanut butter cup and boy were they tasty. A good balance of coffee and sweet flavors. Now when it came to food, last time I went with chicken and waffles which (from pics) still seemed like something I might enjoy more elsewhere and so instead, I landed on The Stove Top Skillet. This was a combo of onions, peppers, potatoes, sausage, cheese, and over easy eggs. It came out piping hot and it was honestly impressive in how it tasted. I liked the thinly sliced sausage coins and although the pepper pieces were a little massive, they were soft enough with everything mixing together nicely. As for the wife, she went with a special in the form of the hash omelette which was exactly as it sounded with Swiss cheese and paprika hollandaise sauce on top along with breakfast potatoes on the side. I tried it and it was pretty tasty as well. One last item we chose to order was a single beignet for $2.50 as a side option. Sometimes we're just not feeling a full sweet breakfast, but this little fried ball filled with chocolate did the trick. Was it comparable to Cafe Du Monde? No way, but it was still quality. Honestly, the whole meal was quality and definitely several steps up from that first round a few years back. The only true gripe I can give is the soundtrack to Nappi's. The music, a touch louder than one might think at 9 in the morning, was a little too trance/dance/club for the vibe of breakfast. Maybe on a Sunday for a boozy brunch, but perhaps some music changes would create a little more of a "Nook" feel. Perhaps? Overall though, I'm really very impressed and glad to have given Nappi's Nook a second shot. It may have taken some time for that to happen, but it showed that this place was the real deal because it was still around, and winning Best of LI awards in the meantime. Perhaps a place to get to on the earlier side, but for sure a location I know I will be returning to for round three much sooner than expected.
