Pho Dac Biet!
Kano K.

Great food, awesome service...I frequent here often when I'm in town. As an asian family, we love the flavor, it's just perfect. The Pho was missing a few meat but the flavor is on point. The flat noodles were amazing, the rice dishes were unbeatable. I'm not a fan of sushi so never had their sushi.

Beef stew Pho

The Pho was watered down to the point of no flavor - possibly end of night short cut. The lack of a good broth really killed the Pho. The spicy tuna roll was good. The Sapporo was cold. The staff was young and helpful. Try again for sure - but a miss this time around.. Lots of parking.

The pork & veggie egg rolls. Some of the best I've had.

TLDR: This is a hidden gem of a spot for Asian (particularly Vietnamese) cuisine. An Thinh is a new (December 2020) pan-Asian restaurant that's just off the 183 in Leander. Normally, I'm a little skeptical of pan-Asian places because they tend to do everything mediocre. However, I've tried them twice now and can recommend everything except the sushi. (That's because I haven't tried it yet.) The egg rolls are some of the best I've had: Vietnamese style, with an extra-crispy coating and a mix of pork and veggies. The fried calamari's tender and the portion size could feed 2 people (or 4 for a shared appetizer). The grilled pork banh mi is very good, and has some nice zip from the peppers. My personal favorite so far is the flat noodle dish (they offer it with either chicken, beef, or shrimp). This is a Chinese-style dish similar to Chow Fun, and it's excellent - stir fried flat rice noodles with bean sprouts, veggies, meat, and a lot of dark soy sauce to give it a savory kick. One of the best SE Asian places I've been to in a while, I hope they do well. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

An Thinh Asian Cuisine had friendly staff but was lacking in flavor for my pho unfortunately. The cheese rangoons were also harder than I would have liked and not warm. I was really hoping I had found my new pho place but I did not. My avocado banana smoothie was delicious.

I live close so this is a walkable lunch spot for me as work from home, I've had good and bad experiences but my most recent experience was amazing so I'm finally leaving a review. Ive ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box a few times but it's almost always overcooked. I'd stear clear of the chicken here, unfortunately. That said... The shrimp and sushi are usually really well made. The Pho broth is so good and the spicy edamame is one of the best things on the menu. I'd recommend both to anyone who asks. The peach tea was soooo good and I think it may be the best tea I've had in the area. It's always a treat!

Food 4.5/5 Ambiance 4.5/5 Service 5/5 Restaurant interior is good and most amazing part of this facility is their service. Everyone greeted us with happy face. Helped us with menu and choices. Food tasted amazing and both the dishes that we ordered were up to our expectations. Recommendations from staff held to the promise.

Orange Chicken, subbed fried rice, added broccoli.

We've eaten here off and on the last couple of years. Dine-in AND take-out. It's typically very good, especially the bahn-mi and pho. However, tonight was a little underwhelming with our take-out. I ordered the orange chicken, subbed fried rice, added broccoli, total $18.95 before taxes. When I got home and opened the box, there seemed to be more broccoli than chicken, which there only 9 pieces of the chicken. The broccoli had hardly been cooked. Very small portion of rice, and for a $2 upcharge from steamed to fried, it was very disappointing and bland. For $20 and some change, there should be a bit more, especially when the total ticket was over $60 after tax and tip(we ordered two other entrees, one of which was a little light as well for $18). I really want to come back, but a 1-hour round trip drive for overpriced portions on takeout is really hard to justify. Again, I want to reiterate, the food in the past has been quite exceptional, but it's been a few months since we last came into town, so, I'm not sure if something has changed. If tonight was a one-off, I get it. I really do, being an industry professional myself.

Avocado Poke

The menu doesn't have a huge selection of sushi and it doesn't even matter because it's AMAZING! The avocado poke (has a bit of a kick to it) and truffle salmon were mouthwatering! We also had the egg rolls... YUM! And the beef pho. I highly recommend this place The only reason it's not five stars is the service. We had to ask for drink refills a couple times ... they just weren't very attentive. But the food came out super quick.

Spider roll and rainbow roll

This restaurant has lots of seating spaces and it looks very clean. Husband had the chicken lo main and he was very pleased with his choice. The portion was perfect for him and flavor wise, he said it was the best he has had in the area. Daughter had the rainbow and spider rolls and I had the tuna roll and rainbow roll. We love it! Fish is really fresh, melting in your mouth and they are not cut in those paper thin slices. There is enough fish in each roll. The rice/fish ratio is just right. They have pho and also bento boxes for lunch on weekdays. Really nice place!

Steak bento box...you will only get 4-5 pieces of steak now because of the rising food prices. This bento costs $16.50.

The rising cost of food/supply chain issue is real... This is my second trip here for lunch. The first time I tried the stir fried flat noodles which were overall very tasty though a teensy bit on the greasy side. I have also tried their truffle salmon nigiri and that was delicious! No complaints there! Today, I ordered the steak bento box for lunch and was given a box with 4.5 small pieces of steak. That's it. I asked the server why my meal had been skimped of steak. I was under the impression I would get several pieces since I was already paying $16.50 (I had also seen a previous picture on Yelp which definitely showed a good 12-13 chunks of steak). I was told that the cost of food was getting more expensive so all bento boxes would only be given 5 pieces of meat. I did express my disappointment. On top of that I asked for medium rare, but got well done pieces. The dumplings tasted similar to the frozen potstickers you get at Costco. I know it's not the server's fault. I still left an 18% tip because she is really sweet, but the restaurant needs to rethink how they are dealing with the food cost issue. I left feeling ripped off. Will I be back? Sure. I'll probably come back to try their Banh Mi or more of their sushi since the nigiri was good. I'm leaving this review at a rounded down 2.5 stars. Maybe I'll change this review after some future visits, but I won't be ordering any bento items again.

Beef Pad Thai

I placed a take out order over the phone for our Friday night during peak dinner rush. They had the food ready within 30 minutes from my call. The restaurant has a nice hole in the wall atmosphere, in a good way. I could definitely see myself sitting at the sushi bar there with my wife. We ordered the Chicken Lo Mein and Beef Pad Thai. We got medium and extra spicy. Neither were very spicy, which was fine for me but my wife wanted more heat. They both were pretty good, my only complaint is that both had a bit too much oil/grease. I look forward to trying other dishes. Next time I'm definitely trying the sushi; it looked very tasty from what I could see during the pick up process.

Beef and Broccoli with steamed rice

The food was fresh, delicious and delivered to the table fast. The atmosphere was family friendly with 3 televisions one set on sports, one on news and one a family show. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

The remains of a meal well enjoyed. Yum!
Karlyn K.

My SO loves them. He says it's the best Pad Thai. The service is wonderful. I wish they had a few more menu choices but I'm able to find something each time.

Shrimp Tempura roll was not good at all, spicy crab roll was okay.

Loro is an Asian smokehouse and bar featuring grilled and smoked meats with Southeast Asian and Japanese-inspired sauces, sides, and a bar that boasts craft beer, boozy slushees, and batch cocktails. Parking at this location is a bit of a challenge. They have overflow parking in the back but the spots are really small. We sat at the bar area and worked our way through cocktails, apps, and dessert. We opened a tab and the bar staff takes your order which is convenient, versus how you normally have to order by waiting in line at the bar. The bar staff was extremely busy because they have to make all the cocktails and take the line orders at the bar. They are a master of multitasking. It was $3 martini night on Tuesday, so was excited to sample the four different drink options. lychee martini, Mexican martini, and Lucky Cat cosmo martini. Lychee martini is made with new amsterdam vodka, sake, elderflower, Mexican martini with espolon blanco, olive, yuzu, lime and cosmo with vodka, blood orange, naranja, lime. The lychee was hands down my favorite of the three. We started with the Dip Sampler that included a trifecta of smoked shishito queso, smoked salmon dip and Thai green salsa with the Siete blue corn tortilla chips. We went through the chips quickly and got a second round of wonton chips which I preferred to the Siete chips. Tried the Mango Chamoy frozen Slushee with Siete Chamoy Botana Sauce & Siete Chile Lime Seasoning Rim, passionfruit, Aperol, Sake and Sparkling Wine which was refreshing. All their boozy slushies are $5 during happy hour. Ordered the oak grilled edamame from the happy hour menu and it was a flavor explosion with a dusting of serracha powder, lemon zest and white sesame. For dinner, I ordered my go-to rice bowl with coconut-scented rice, seasonal pickles, thai herbs and steak as the protein. They normally served this with Bavette, but the steak was a bit tough and chewy this time. Finished everything off with cheesecake with five spice crumble, yuzu marmalade for dessert. The vibe at the bar was relaxed and lively without feeling overwhelming, and the collab menu felt creative without trying too hard. The ingredients are very thoughtful for a fully developed flavor profile. Just what I would expect from the culinary minds of Tyson Cole and Aaron Franklin. Definitely one of the regulars in my list when craving good cocktails with a casual but elevated food menu.

The highlight for this food place are their fresh, flavorful Pho with tender meats, excellent egg rolls, good Banh Mi, and attentive service. Some may find it slightly pricey but I feel the value is fair. I love the homemade broth and generous portions, making it a very good spot for authentic Vietnamese food. Meat portions are generous, especially the tender brisket and rare steak in Pho. Good portions, often enough for two meals, making it feel worth the price. Huge, well-filled egg rolls are a big hit. Decent, fresh, classic ingredients, especially Pho and sandwich. I easily noticed their quick, attentive, and polite staff. The restaurant exudes a bright, modern, and clean atmosphere. A point for consideration: when ordering, use the number/letter code instead of the food name to prevent any mistakes. My son who happens to be a vegan ordered a vegan Banh Mi (Banh Mi Chay) which has almost the same food name as a pork Bahn Mi (Banh Mi Cha Lau). They served a pork Bahn Mi, it took some time for my son to realize that he was eating a pork sandwich. It was partly a mistake from both sides, we did not blame the restaurant. The restaurant manager/owner was kind enough to give my son a complimentary fresh vegan Banh Mi upon everybody realizing the mistake. I was glad that my son never had a stomach upset that night. Despite the mishap, I am still giving this restaurant a high rating. One of the best Pho I have ever tasted.
