Their menu here is actually perfect. The breakfast menu consists of endless choices, it's not like a basic menu. I like the choice of two eggs with a side of meat then you get to chose TWO other sides. Not many places offer bagels & cream cheese or even English muffins so I was excited about that, I wasn't in the mood for basic pancakes/waffles/French toast. I have no complaints about this place, except for the fact I missed the turn in a couple of times! It's in the same vicinity as a motel. I have to agree with everyone else about the location, it is a bit hard to see and yes, we almost missed it. But I'm glad we didn't and got the chance to experience this place. I'm a fan of Taco Tuesdays but never seem to find a great taco with a even better price. At Amy's Cafe, I believe that I've found the perfect match. Taco Tuesdays at Amy's involves $0.99 tacos (all day)-- chicken or shredded beef, soft or crunchy. For my first visit, I ordered two crunchy beef tacos. The tacos are perfect in my eyes-- plenty of well-seasoned and tender shredded beef, super-crunchy freshly-deep fried taco shell, a little bit of shredded iceberg lettuce, and plenty of shredded cheddar and white cheese. The salsa and pico de gallo is served on the side and both are equally delicious. I already have my eye set on returning on a Tuesday and trying their crunchy chicken tacos. First off it's named incorrectly, it's a diner not a cafe, there are some decorations that have a cafe feel but it's a diner through and through. Let's get down to why we're here, The Food! I had a veggie omelet it was good, it was a little on the cold side but that's always a possibility with diners. Home fries were okay, lacked seasoning and they were a little on the burnt side, french toast was decent, but the stars were the strawberry stuffed pancakes and the Belgium Waffle with strawberries. The stuffed pancakes my wife got and it's customary to share food right?! That's one of the perks of being married lol I had a bite and had to have another, the sweetness of the filling with the tartness of the strawberries, along with the buttery goodness of the pancake was simply wonderful. The Waffle were fluffy and had a wonderful crust on the bottom. If I had to choose between the two it would be the stuffed pancakes. Service was okay. read more

Be prepared as this place qualifies as a "Dive", it looks dated is easy to miss from the street and seems almost like a dump really though it is clean. The food here ranges from good to average and the service is usually ok. The challenge I have found is that sometimes the cook on duty can be rather sloppy and the same dish can vary a lot in taste depending on the day you order it. Also never EVER order the corned beef hash as it's from a can and the last time I did that it was served barely warm and I could see visible marks from the can on the "round" I was given on my plate. Don't get me wrong though most of their food is pretty good I would just like to see a bit more consistency on their food and the fact that the complaints I have made to the owner fell on what felt like deaf ears I seem to stop here less and less. read more

The service was a bit delayed but the waitress when I paid for my food was pleasant I dropped some paper on the ground and she let me know it was not my bill for my food it was something that I didn't want others to see so thank you for telling me it was on the floor. The waiter got $5 bucks tip. I didn't photo my food before eating but it was very good the stuffed French toast was fresh tasting. Bacon needed to be cooked more crispy. The family and I decided to try out somewhere new [to us] for a late breakfast. First, the location - You could easily drive past this place and never know it was there. It is right next to a motel and just kind of blends in to its drab surroundings. The exterior is rundown and could use a little TLC. When looking at it, you probably wouldn't have the highest of hopes. The food - Between the four of us who ordered, we got two items off the breakfast menu and two off the lunch (patty melt, basic burger, veggie omelet, and a skillet). The reviews from my family members were mostly 4-star. The patty melt and skillet were thoroughly enjoyed. My omelet was fairly solid, but lacked flavor and was overloaded with cheese (which is great for some, just not quite my cup of tea). The burger was half eaten and "lack-luster." Overall, I would say that this wouldn't be a terrible place to stop for a bite with family and/or friends. I will probably make a couple of trips back to try some different things on the menu. read more

This is a decent place for breakfast. The omlettes are four eggs, non greasy. I had the Denver omlettes for $9.95. coffee $1.95 was you know like as if coffee doesn't matter (-1 *), so I would just get water and go to bucks or some small coffee shop...which is what I am going to have to do now... I really vacillated between 4 and 5 stars for this, but ultimately, it was the croissant that took it to 5 for me. First, exterior/location - this place is DEFINITELY not a looker. They could really use to invest some money in sprucing the outside of the place up a bit. The location also doesn't help, as it's next to a slightly sketchy-looking motel. Didn't visually have high hopes (upon arrival), but trusted the Yelp world to have gotten it right. We came here for breakfast as a large group (12 or so), and they accommodated us nicely. We were able to take the entire bench section, and all fit comfortably. Service was good, and everything was fairly timely. As for the food; I got the Breakfast Croissant sandwich, and subbed out for scrambled eggs. I asked for the bacon and the hash browns crispy, and they delivered on both requests. I almost didn't order this, because my fear is always that the croissant is going to come out and be overdone or dry. That was definitely NOT the case, here! The croissant was flaky, moist, and just the right density. It was very good; same with the hash browns! They managed to get them crispy enough to have a nice crispy/lightly-cooked balance so that they actually felt cooked, not just warmed. From talking with others in my group, their experience was also something close to mine; not a single person said they disliked their food, and not a single person said they wouldn't come back. I definitely would, and can't wait to make a few more trips here to try a few of their other options, as well as lunch/dinner. read more

Really loving this place, it's small and cute but never have to wait so long to be seated. Their service is great, very attentive and sweet. We had a couple of skillets , crunchy French toast combo (gotta ask to make the French toast crunchy), and country fried steak. Their biscuits and gravy was flavorful and soft. Love their hot chocolate and whip cream so delicious, I just had to ask for more whip cream and our server would bring over the can on whip cream. A downside is the one bathroom stall, so you would have to wait a bit. But food is amazing, definitely will be coming back when we're in town read more

Found this place while trying to eat somewhere close to the mall. We were seated right away by this adorable little man (young kid). I order a veggie omelette with biscuits and gravy on the side. My cousin had pancakes with a traditional eggs and bacon breakfast. Over all not bad but not the best or anything special. I have to admit it was very affordable. I read the reviews and was excited about eating here and now that I went, I'm wondering wtf everyone was raving about and thinking now the people saying this place is great diner food seriously don't have a palate for decent diner food. For one, there was an excessive amount of oil in the potatoes to the point where my hash browns were incredibly mushy. 2, the croissant my husband had was obviously store bought and stale, at least make sure it's a decent quality. 3, there was no seasoning in any of the eggs or potatoes, the home fries potatoes my husband had looked like they were stepped on and not appealing whatsoever. 4, the French toast was ok but the butter that was on it was crazy salty , but I kindly put it to the side, so that was fixable. The French toast was dry and somewhat hard which is crazy and weird, couldn't eat the crust. 5, the meatball soup I could smell the cumin and paprika before she even sat it on the table and it was overwhelming, but still despite that, it really had no real actually flavor. No love or heart was put into these items at all. The service was lack there of, the lady was nice, but it took forever to get things and even water and it wasn't that busy. It was a pretty unimpressive first impression. We probably won't come back to this place or recommend. read more
