    Pancakes and crunchy taco
    Tania L.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. Finally came around to getting to try it and it was fantastic. The food is delicious and the menu is rather large, so something for everyone. I wanted to try everything, I did get some pancakes which were a classic staple for dinner / brunch spots. I even got a crunchy taco which was so good and they give salsa on the side to dress the taco up. The ambience is very casual and the place is not super large but they make use of all the space pretty well. The service was great and we were seated right away. I'm only bummed they aren't open later most days. I also wasn't a big fan of the coffee, it was a little on the light side for my taste but not bad. I would come back and try something new because they have so many options, it all sounded so tasty. I would say this is a much better version of a local chain breakfast spot. Don't let the outside fool you, and be carful not to pass the parking lot since there is only one entrance/ exit area.

My fiancé & I wanted to go out for breakfast and decided to check out this place. I've actually never been here before but we wanted to try somewhere new. I ordered the country fried steak & eggs. For my two sides I got the cottage cheese and dollar pancakes. I enjoyed my country fried steak and they had good cottage cheese (some places don't lol). The pancakes were okay. My fiancé got the Canadian bacon & eggs. For his two sides he got hash browns and biscuits & gravy. He really loved the biscuits & gravy, he said it was so good. He enjoyed his Canadian bacon as well but said he would probably order them crispier next time. He didn't like the hash browns that much though, he said some parts tasted cooked good and some didn't. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal! It was a good first time experience. Their menu is also pretty big. I didn't see a lot of menu photos on here so I made sure to take pics of the whole thing. I definitely want to come back to try some of their lunch items next time and maybe even dessert. We also got seated pretty quickly and parking was fine. :)

We were unfamiliar with it, but stopped by Amy's because it was near my daughter's house and near the freeway to head home. I'm so glad we took the chance! This is a small establishment next to a motel (wasn't too excited for that, thinking it would be crowded). The parking lot is very small with small parking spaces. The inside is homey and seemed to be filled with locals not motel guests. We were seated immediately with drink and food orders taken soon after. There were five of us but the food still came out quickly. I ordered my standard biscuit and gravy breakfast which is definitely not their specialty. Later I saw that they offered menudo but I didn't see it on the menu and I was sad because I would rather have had that. Oh well, I'll need to come back. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the food. Lunch is served all day and the Parmesan burger was really good. They have hot sauce on the table but also offer a trio of salsas for your food and they were all really good. I recommend Amy's; it isn't fancy at all but offers good satisfying food!

First time coming here place was a little very busy. Staff was nice and friendly and food was good. Place seemed to be clean. I would give this place another try. The only thing parking is a little rough small parking lot and the rest of the parking is for a hotel only.

Well I visited here twice this trip and had the eggs Benedict delicious big portions . The place seems busy but not hard to get a table . Definitely returning

Don't be fooled by the parking lot, this diner is a hidden gem! Everything we had was delicious, the service was fast (especially for a Saturday morning!) and we would highly recommend! The only downside was that the menu had so many great options it was hard to decide

I had a family member give us a certificate for Amy's so my sister and I decided to give it a try. We went on a Monday afternoon a bit before 2 and we saw they close around 3 on every day besides Tuesday so we wanted to make it a fast trip. Walking in we saw the restaurant was a bit slow and there were only 2 other customers there. Very cute little diner with paintings and little decorations. I got the Ham, Turkey, and Bacon club with onion rings and my sister got the avocado burger with fries. They were both delicious and it took me by surprise that the restaurant was as slow as it was with such good comfort food. The waitress we had was so nice and attentive she checked in 3-4 times and we didn't have a single complaint. The serving size was so big especially for the prices. I would totally recommend coming to check them out.

    Chicken Enchilada

Usually come here for breakfast since the omelettes are very nice portions and reasonably priced. (And the service is always A+) Decided to pop in for lunch the other day and tried the two taco plate with a chicken enchilada on the side. Two taco plate came with chips and salsa - you can tell the chips are made in house, Salsa is very tasty. Tacos were well made Chicken enchilada was the star, very well made. Can't go wrong with this place.

Wowza. This little place packs a punch in the food department. I used yelp of course to locate it and it's a very small diner along Magnolia Boulevard in Riverside . All the reviews are amazing and mine will be the same. The portions were large. I generally get chicken fried steak when I'm out to breakfast and I know that I'm never gonna eat the whole thing and this was no exception. Over medium eggs, perfectly cooked. Chicken fried steak, a generous portion with a really tasty gravy no flour taste in it had added pepper delicious. The hash browns were in a log formation and thick - not super crispy and stringy. I also had sourdough toast and a cup of coffee, which I don't normally drink, but their coffee was really good too! From the moment I walked in the door the servers were attentive and quick and friendly, everything I look for in a server at a restaurant. Humorous and funny. The price for my meal ran around 15 bucks and the coffee was additional on top of that. Super good price for the quality of this place that seems to be a hidden gem in Riverside! Kudos Amy's!! (They also seem to have some great Mexican options. There were lot of people after me and around ordering enchiladas and things like that - Viva)

Are the hours different? I don't see them open like how Yelp says at 7 am.

So did Amy's move to another location? Sad to see it closed.

I'm here at the one on Magnolia and it's open. This is my first time here so don't know if there was any other location. Hopefully that answered your question 😊

Honestly, from service to portion to food Quality, across the board everything was fantastic. Prices are fairly standard nothing exorbitant. The portions are great. I ordered the fried calamari which might've been the most tender and fresh calamari I think I've ever tasted. My wife had the Caprese salad, which was really fresh and well done. For the main meal, I had crab stuffed ravioli, and my wife had the steak beef bowl, which was enormous and could easily be shared with two people. The ravioli was excellent. The sauce was excellent. The flavor and the subtle sweetness of the crab shined through. My wife's steak bowl was also amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender. A very subtle heat in the seasoning from red chili, I believe. Chefs kiss. Our server was amazing and I feel horrible for not remembering her name, the woman who was working the front area was helpful and knowledgeable and just very welcoming. A special bonus was the old school 50s and 60s music. My mom would have loved it. This place is a definite guarantee for anyone who enjoys great quality food. We will be there again. I would've taken pictures of the food, but I am an absolute glutton and finished it...lol

There really wasn't anything wrong with the pot pie, it just didn't taste as good as I had hoped, so I didn't eat much of it. Our waitress noticed I didn't eat much of the pot pie and asked me if there was anything wrong. I told her that in my opinion, it didn't have much flavor and that I didn't care for it. She was apologetic and said I should of told her sooner and she would of brought something else for me. I said, it really wasn't a big deal, that I'm sure other people enjoy the chicken pot pie. Next thing I know, the manager Clark comes over and tells me he wants to take the pot pie off my bill. I told him that it wasn't necessary, that I did eat some of it and I should pay for it. He insisted to take the pot pie off my bill. Said he wanted his customers to be happy. He then asked if my friend and I wanted to share a dessert and showed us the options. We chose the S'mores brownie. We didn't want a full size, so he offered a smaller option. The dessert came and it was very large to be a small serving. And let me tell you, it was absolutely beyond delicious! My friend and I were so impressed with the generosity of Clark the manager and how he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. That is what I call great customer service and a manager that really cares about making sure his customers are happy when they leave. Even though I'm not a fan of the Pot Pie, I know that their food is still amazing. I will be coming back again and again.

I ordered a beer and a cocktail. The beer was poured perfectly and the glass was clean, the cocktail was refreshing and bright. We started with some apps, the crispy rice tuna and watermelon tataki and both were fantastic. The crispy rice was a perfect little bite and nailed the texture and spice, while the watermelon tataki was so unique, fun and delicous. For mains, I got the NY strip with potatoes au gratin and my partner got the steak salad. Both steaks were cooked perfectly and had a wonderful balance of peppercorn seasoning to match the balance of fat and meat in the cut. My partner loved her salad and felt that the balsamic was balanced with a hint of sweetness so the dressing wasn't too acidic and bitey. The steak for her salad came on the same plate and was a filet which meant she could enjoy the steak and salad together instead of getting a cold meat or warm, wilted salad. Potatoes came as a little side and were layered perfectly and topped with a sauce that reminded me of a thin alfredo sauce, We finished with the mango coconut pana cotta which was bright and refreshing after a rich meal. Not too sweet or heavy but full of flavor. During our meal, the General Manager, Ignacio made sure to stop by our table (along with all the tables) just to check in with us, make sure that service and food was up to snuff. He had a friendly rapport with his staff and shared some anecdotes about himself and Bryan and left us smiling just before our steaks arrived. I definitely wasn't expecting to be impressed but the food, vibes, decor were all excellent. Oh and the bathrooms were CLEAN! Remember folks, if the bathrooms are dirty, the kitchen probably is too! The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

We have not been here since the 90's and I have to say, it was much better back then. All in all, there is just no flavor. The salsa tasted like watery tomatoes, our waitress gave us a little side of habanero salsa to incorporate with it but that heat is the extreme for me. We ordered the Mesquite chicken and steak fajitas which were less than average. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the taste of the protein did not match up to the wonderful smell of BBQ outside the restaurant. The tortillas were just ok, first batch was not even warm. My Michelada was good though. Bummer visit after being away for so long. Looks like the interior could stand a makeover.
