Only got take out but not sure about service or ambiance. However, food is amazing every time we get it. Has a true South Indian flavor profile which we love. If you say spicy, it will be spicy so be careful!

We ordered idlis, dosa, pizza and chai. Idli was decent. Dosa was mediocre. Chai was blah. Pizza was the best! The chutneys that came with the idli and dosa taste watery and not authentic. Sambar was also not to my liking. I prefer dosa grill for dosas and idli tbh.

I'd give this new restaurant 4.5 stars HUGE potential for 5. We sat at the bar--the bartender was fun and personable. The pineapple jalapeño and regular jalapeño margaritas were good. We also tried the Amrut whiskey and Rampur scotch which were delicious. I got the spicy butter chicken and the Amrut Briyani (boneless chicken) which were both VERY delicious. My boyfriend got the fish tikka which came out on a sizzling plate which he loved. The butter chicken was ok, but def smaller portion for the price imo. The owner was very nice and engaged us for various feedback and suggestions on food/drinks etc. Our group also tried the pizza--a Rogan Josh sauce with paneer topping SO good! We also tried the samosas, spicy baby corn, roti, and garlic naan. Everything tasted great! First time we loved every dish at a restaurant. You can tell it's a new restaurant as they were still working stuff out, but the service wasn't bad at all. We will be frequenting a lot!

Service is terrible . food is spicy and the quality of the food is just not there. So many other options for better quality food.

Iranian chai tastes terrible! Please save some bucks and avoid getting chai at Amrut. Their pizzas and puff's are decent.

I got Dragon Chicken appetizer today afternoon and the chicken is just awful. Not at all recommended. Be aware and order at your own risk!

I enjoy Pakistani food, so when in areas with Pakistani restaurants, I try to try new ones... I…read morerecently came in here with a colleague for lunch. The place was clean, I could even see in the kitchen and it looked nice. Service was fine. The menu is filled with the typical Pakistani/Indian delights. We tried their chicken tikka (boneless) kabob. The flavors were really good and the meat was tender. It came out perfect. The naan was incredibly soft and perfect texture and density too. Their veggie biryani was more of a mix of curry into the rice, versus the right way of making it with curry folded into the rice with some other colored rices folded in as well. The flavors were just a messy/overall single flavor, rather than tasting the different flavors. The karahi was really just a stewed chicken curry, versus a freshly made stir fried (in a karahi) style curry with fresh tomatoes and chicken. I could tell by how melty and stewed down the chicken was. Overall, the flavor was ok, but it didn't resemble the karahi I'm familiar with from making it and eating it in Pakistani family kitchens over the years. I still enjoyed the visit and if I came back, I'd stick with kabobs

A Hidden Gem for Indian Cuisine in Ashburn, VA. I travel for food …read more.. Saffron India in Ashburn, VA, truly delivered a chef's kiss experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food--absolutely outstanding. I drove 1.5 hours for my birthday lunch after a day at the spa, and it was well worth the trip. The standout dishes were the lamb chops, garlic naan, and the crispy spinach and spicy shrimp--all 10/10. I also took home the Chicken 65 and Tiger Prawn Shrimp ( a must have ) both of which were just as delicious. Be mindful that they close at 2:30 pm for preparation before dinner service, so plan accordingly. I left with enough food to last two days, and with plenty of parking in the shopping plaza, this spot is a must-try for any food lover in the area or just wanting to venture out . Highly recommend!

If this is true, it's very disappointing because the staff work hard every day and deserve to be paid promptly for their efforts. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and treats its employees fairly. I'm sharing this review in the hope that it encourages positive changes, because a restaurant's success depends not only on good food but also on how it values and supports its employees.

After I ordered I was told it would take ten minutes, a reasonable amount of time. I come back in 15 the food is not ready, I ask about it and get told it will be out shortly. I had to wait another 15 minutes. My order was incorrect I ordered butter chicken (which was pretty good) with rice, and an additional side of garlic naan. My butter chicken only came out with garlic naan. After going back inside and inquiring about it I was told it would take five minutes. Sad to say it took longer.

H1B has a great location with plenty of parking and a good atmosphere…read more It's a simple Indian restaurant with counter ordering and has a nice simple seating area with big windows. Today I stopped by for lunch, just walking by, and ordered their mild G.O.A.T Dum Biryani and Mango Lassi. Kiran the cashier was nice and polite, very knowledgeable and answered all my requests very well. The food came out quickly and hot. I think the mango lassi was a bit small for it's price but tasted homemade. The goat was extremely spicy for me, even after I was asked how spicy I would like it, and I replied very mild, not spicy. It's was difficult to eat it without a lot of extra toppings and sauces to make it more mild, but then my rice turned into soup. I think that if you normally like the spices that made with Indian food you'll agree with the other reviewers here that it's a nice place to eat. For me it too hot and spicy! As a bonus they offered me to try their desert: Mango Rabadi and a small sample of their chicken kabob. The Mango Rabadi was very good, a pleasant sweetened dessert, but the chicken kabob was also super spicy for me but full of flavor! If you like Indian food it sounds like this is the place to go, but for me it's way too spicy! The owner and the cashier were very nice and friendly. I hope they fulfill the area's Indian food option as best they can in the years to come.
