This is an Ashburn Find! If you want to try Authentic Indian Biryani (and other dishes), definitely check this place out. It is definitely a hole in the wall place, however when you find it, you'll notice that inside doesn't really look like much of a restaurant, but I'm telling you IT IS FANTASTIC. The food tastes like an Indian Mom's Cooking and we will find ourselves back here OFTEN. We talked to the server who mentioned that they get all of their masalas and a lot of the ingredients from India - and that just adds flavor to the food. We ordered takeout so this is not a review on their service or the restaurant decor. We ordered the garlic bread and a chicken chettinad entree. The taste is pretty good; however, the portion of chicken chettinad is so SMALL. If you want to know how small this $13 chicken chettinad entree is, here is a funny but true comparison --- it is about 1/3 of what you would normally get from a KongPao chicken entree. I probably will not do takeout from this place for this reason. I might try to dine in once things are back to normal as the restaurant's inside looks pretty nice. read more

Food was tasty, actually delicious, and the service was outstanding!!! I originally ordered fish tikka masala through Uber eats and received updates as my food was prepared and delivered. The food came and was delicious but not exactly what I'd ordered. The fish tikka masala came without curry sauce. (If you're expecting your tikka masala to be in a yogurt curry sauce, make certain to specify). I immediately called the restaurant, explained my issue and they were happy to help me resolve my issue and fix my order. They prepared the curry, which was AMAZING, in about 15 minutes. I went into the store to pick it up and they were quarantine ready. They seem to have a good pick up system for Uber eats and other food delivery services, they social distance yet still provide a warm and welcoming environment, and all staff wore face coverings and gloves. When this quarantine is over I'll definitely be back to dine in. Very satisfied with the food, tasty and great portions and the quality of service was top notch. read more

I started ordering from here after knowing that this is the same chain as bawarchi in Chantilly which is next to lotte plaza. Like all other restaurants, food is over priced, but if one can look past it, taste is pretty consistent. I found a few items too salty, but i was able to make a request to go easy on salt and they did it for me. My favorites so far are the gongura chicken biryani, ginger chicken and gongura jackfruit biryani. This place looks promising as food quality is consistently good, which is a challenge with most Indian restaurants. I have been a regular at this place for a few months and I hope this place doesn't disappoint. I recommend this place for Indian food over any other restaurant in this area. read more

Flavorful, delicious, large portions - my three word summary. This spot is absolutely fantastic. My brother and I dined in a few days ago to try it as a recommendation from our neighbors and the restaurant most certainly did not disappoint. Our waitress recommended the Malai Kofta (vegetarian) entree to me and i was about ready to lick the bowl at the end of lunch, so flavorful and mouth watering. I highly recommend this entree with rice and garlic bread, you will have plenty for a large meal or left overs for the next day (if you're able to resist yourself unlike me). Additionally, the staff was wonderful. They were attentive throughout the dining experience and provided several recommendations for us (as both my brother and I are new to Indian food). My friend and I came in on a Saturday around lunch time after a nice walk. They had buffer style, which has been rare these days. I ordered take out for dinner, Lamb Biriyani and Malai Kofta curry. I have had the biriyani before and have always liked it. it is very flavorful and they are generous with the meat, as opposed to other places that really skimp on it. Even though the restaurant has changed hands, the biriyani was the same as before, really very good!! I ordered a mild version and was happy with the taste. Though for some it may still be a bit too spicy. The raita that comes with the biriyani is about 3 tablespoons worth, so I really don't know why they even bother. I always have to make more raita at home to have enough. The biriyani can easily serve about 3 people and the raita isn't even enough for 1/4th of a serving. Ridiculous skimping! Now for the the Malia Kofta, it was a big disappointment. I felt like I was eating dessert as the sauce was sooooo sweet!!! It totally ruined the dish for me. I cannot understand why they would load it up with so much sugar, that it tastes like dessert. It was disgusting!! As one reviewer said they should not make North Indian dishes, if this is what they do to them. And they really messed it up. Very disappointing. So today I added my own extra sauce and spices to tone down the sweetness. Helped a little, but not enough. read more

I ordered online and got a confirmation via email with a recipe of my order, the person who processed my order and the time it was placed with the time it will be ready to pick up. I came at time for pick up which was 3:54pm and was told that the kitchen does not open till 5pm. The person on shift did not speak English well so we were only able to understand each other with the word 5pm. So I don't understand why I would get a confirmation with my order being already paid for and the restaurant being closed till 5pm. I called 2x and no answer. read more

Great biryanis! Their yummy food made us order biryanis again.. and so many times! We have tried the paneer, egg , mushroom biryanis and all of them were just perfect. I am drooling just thinking about them. I wish they still had the ashburn branch open, so we could taste the yumminess more frequently. Nevertheless, it's a must try for everyone. We did not eat anything and left with died out hungry bellies. When mentioned to the server even she agreed with the dryness and blackened color of the meat and said she will give feedback to the chef. As an Indian, if you want authentic NORTH Indian food, don't get it from here. The gravy of the Paneer Butter Masala tasted very artificial. The Paneer 65, although is a South Indian dish, had a very pungent and bitter taste that was not tasty.
