The location was not in the charming historic area, but the food was worth driving through a bunch of strip malls to get to. Nepali cuisine is distinctive in its spices and use of soy products, and I ordered distinctively Nepali dishes. Their momo were delicious and fresh-tasting and had a mouthwatering mustard sauce. My favorite dish from the cuisine is aloo tama bodi, a curry of black eyed peas, bamboo shoots, shoots, and potato, and theirs was hot and spicy and full of additional flavor. An herb naan that I didn't really need was nonetheless a tasty way to mop up the curry. It was a good place to eat in for a traveler looking to pull over off the highway, and the food offered variety and quality.

Another takeout order to try new items we tried veg samosas Kothi momos and chicken Jalfrezi as always the momos were very flavorful and delicious the veggie samosas tasted better without the accompanying sauces. However, I found that the chicken in the chicken jalfrezi was tough. Mom absolutely loved the hot and sour soup. Though the delicious favors remained in the reheat the chicken was still tough. My goal next time is to try a dish with a different protein.

Was visiting area on a road trip and decided to try Himalayan food for first time. Dropped by for a late lunch and for this business open and not busy. We were greeted and seated immediately with out water drink order taken. They do have a full bar if you like. The restaurant was clean from our perspective. We had to ask a few questions to our server for clarification which were answered well. We decided to split orders of Spinach Chaat and Chicken Momo Kothey. The Spinach came out first as it is an appetizer. Interesting deep fried with topping of an oil, chopped onion and tomato. The leaves come out lite as feathers. Very interesting texture abd flavorful. The Momo Kothey, version of pot stickers, came out in appropriate time with a side dish of a mild sauce. We elected to have these steamed and finished with pan fry. These were very good as well. Our waiter checked on us once and refilled our waters. We are glad we stopped and have been introduced to Himalayan food. Will search out this food in our home Town.

This is the best Indian and Nepalese restaurant that we've ever eaten in!!! The Butter Chicken and Naan was amazing. Our hosts were so nice and made us feel so welcomed

This place was amazing when they opened! But I am not sure what happened to the taste. We go there time to time but it's such a hit and miss. Service is still amazing - pretty much everyone that works there is great!! Ambiance is nice.

This was our third time at Himalayan Heritage. We have not been disappointed yet. Excellent food, plentiful portions (3 doggy bags), attentive service and reasonable cost. Highly recommended. We'll be back!!!

The food is really good and the customer service is very personable especially when the staff gets familiar with you. The staff showed my dad mad love on his birthday and we had a group of like 15 people. They played my dad a birthday song and brought out a delicious vanilla coconut cake after our meal. It was truly special. The couple of times I've been here I would order the salmon with steamed peppers and rice. Last time I've ordered the chicken chow mien. And it was so tasty and fresh! The portion was very generous but I finished majority of the meal since I was starving. Each time I'm in town my family always pay a visit!

What a fabulous find close off the highway. Highly recommend! Homemade cooking in an unexpected spot. Everything we had was delicious from a chicken dish to the bread basket to Manchurian Gobi to paneer tikka masala. Would definitely return.

Following a lead from a TikToker in Fredericksburg, Jeff and I found ourselves at Himalayan Heritage Restaurant. We went on Saturday May 25th, 2025 at 12:30pm. We were one of three parties yay for us. The restaurant smells amazing from the second you enter the parking lot. I felt like snoopy floating along the path of "good smells" following it towards our lunch. We were greeted warmly upon entry. The decor has been criticized in other reviews but I found it to be culturally expressive, bright and classy without being overwhelmingly cluttered. The table clothes were linen and the flowers were live. The music was on theme but pleasant as background noise. Our waitress was knowledgeable about allergens, she was able to guide me. Jeff got the shrimp kabobs & naan. I ordered the butter chicken, papadums and chutney. The food came quickly and was delicious. We ordered mild because I cannot tolerate spice as I age but I assure you they can spice to your tolerance. We wanted to try desert but were so full that we had to pass. The portions were decent, the prices were standard for good Indian food but a little high for the area. That won't stop us from returning. If you are craving a great experience and flavorful Indian food, I highly suggest giving Himalayan Heritage Restaurant a try.

First time at this at this restaurant and a great experience. Manager and cook where outside l, they greet us and open the door for us. All personnel very welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious, hot, very flavorful. Nice cultural music and setting. Comfortable, casual, and elegant.

I've can't say enough good things about this place. Why go to downtown for overpriced American food when you can go here? The service is top-notch, and the food is amazing. There are so many things to try on the menu that I've never seen anywhere else. The portions are big--I've come here twice and never been able to finish my meal. (But who says no to leftovers?!) On my most recent visit, I was with a large group that ordered a wide variety of food, and they loved it. Absolutely come here!

Owner Kumar is gregarious, enthusiastic about his menu, and kindly helped me put together a wonderful vegan order: achari eggplant, Chana masala, tofu asparagus, onion bhajai, and aloo parantha. There was so much love in the way he gestured to his daughter who was at the register, and referred to his wife in the kitchen. Quite a wholesome vibe. So I placed an order to go: Vegetable fritters and Goat Vindaloo (Indian spicy), with the tomato & cheese Naan. Food was ready in about 15 minutes. The Vegetable fritters were crisp and tasty. The Goat Vindaloo had good heat and was delicious. The Goat meat was very tender. However, there were a lot of bones and cartilage. You have to be very careful eating this to NOT swallow something you shouldn't. It shouldn't be this hard to get properly butchered and prepared Goat. I've been to other Indian restaurants that have zero bones in their Goat Curry/Goat Vindaloo. The Naan was also very good, Overall, food is tasty, but the bones really drag down the ranking for me. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. I'll have to try something different next time - AND ask as to whether the dishes I am ordering have bones/cartilage in them. #TAJIndianCuisine

Our server was attentive and polite. He gave us time to peruse the menu at our leisure, while he brought out the gratis before-the-meal appetizer. It was like a crispy naan with three distinctly different sauces. It really was quite delicious. I ordered the Chicken Konkani and my partner had the Chicken Curry. The flavors of the food were decent without too much spice. The mango lassie drink was outstanding! My greatest concern with my visit was not even the 2 hour wait for my meal (I am somewhat patient and understand the overwhelming feeling a busy first night can cause). My concern, as I waited at the window, was the food handling. I watched as the gentleman prepared the seekah kabob of raw beef shaped into a tube onto a skewer and prepared raw chicken onto skewers, in addition to other drippy raw meats, and then help to prepare plates for serving. The young lady at the window was diligently using gloves and changing after payments, for the most part. I wanted to say something, but after a two hour wait and knowing this is their first day, I held my tongue, watched as the gentleman touched all over the outside of my container, and a little bit inside, and took my $40 meal home. I had a lamb chop platter with spinach, salad, and rice with naan, and I wanted to try the butter chicken as well so I got that with chick peas. I threw out the salad, put my food onto a plate and heated everything before blessing my food. Final thoughts...I am giving three stars because I see the potential and would not want a negative review to blow their confidence, and I hope they take time to assess this evening to make improvements on an awesome food truck idea.
