Immediately upon trying a free sample I was hooked on the pistachio gelato. Tastes truly like Italian gelato without all the processed flavors. Order at the counter then pick up your ice cream. The small cup was plenty after dinner but if you want to share I would size up a cup. Ordered a few large macaroons to go and they have been perfect desserts at home. Absolutely obsessed with this gelato, we're going to be visiting far more frequently for it.
I always save room for dessert so of course a stop at Amorino is necessary. This location has plenty of indoor and a few outdoor seats. I highly appreciate places that offer samples before ordering gelato and thankfully Amorino did just that. The staff member that helped me was patient and friendly. I went with the small on a cone and chose 3 flavors; Ecuador chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry. All very tasty! It's hard for me to give a gelato place in the US 5 stars only because I've had gelato in Italy. Sorry not sorry but Italy is the place for it lol. That being said, Amorino is still delicious that I do recommend it. I enjoyed how my sweet treat was crafted into a rose, very cute.
Never been here before me and my friends want to come here so we decided to go. They've been here before I haven't, but the experience wasn't the best. Honestly one I think it's too expensive for what I got. I also thought they were gonna make my gelato or sorbet shall I say Into a flower and they didn't so... they just put it in there all willy-nilly and it was like eight dollars for this little thing. The staff act like they didn't wanna be there so that was kind of annoying but whatever. Was chill vibe on the inside. Also, I do wish they had some vegan flavors that were chocolate and not just fruit. Not sure if I'll come back but it's the first time for everything.
Two stars go to the roasted peanut and single-origin chocolate flavors, which were solid, and to the staff, who offered samples that helped us decide what to order. Beyond that, the experience was confusing and underwhelming. The ordering process needs streamlining. When we walked in, two parties were already waiting near the gelato display. As we approached to look at flavors, a staff member redirected us to self-service kiosks towards the back of the store. The problem was that the kiosks neither showed nor allowed selection of flavors. We had to double back to the display, sample a few options with assistance from staff, and then return to the kiosks to place the order. During a busy period, this setup would create congestion and frustration for both customers and employees. A clearer flow would go a long way, whether by relocating kiosks closer to the entrance or integrating flavor selection into the ordering system. The portion size was the bigger letdown. The small cup looked reasonably full at first glance, but the bottom was hollow, making the serving far smaller than expected. I ate what seemed like my share based on the cup's height, only to realize there wasn't much beneath the surface, leaving my partner with very little. He referenced comedian Mitch Hedberg on the misleading cup design, and said it "robbed us of gelato," and called it a "clever gelato-saving technique." We understand that costs are rising, but this portion stood out as unusually small. Between the two of us, we've had gelato across the U.S. and in Italy, and this was the stingiest serving we've encountered--especially at nearly $10 after tax and tip. What should have been a simple treat ended up as a disappointment we will not repeat. We'd rather our hard-earned money go to small businesses that put intention and integrity at the forefront.
With an environment that feels like an urban Italian gelateria, perfect lighting and ample seating... this shop is a perfect after dinner / post orchestra experience. The servers are kind and swift. The flower petal gelato presentation is world class. So, so beautiful. The gelato is good - not of the highest quality. If they could land that, and present macaroons that kept their ascetic integrity, then Amorino would earn a 5 star rating.
Came into try Amorino's, and it was so delicious! All their flavors are made fresh in house. My friend and I sampled a lot of the flavors they had before landing on what we each picked. I got the hazelnut chocolate with the strawberry gelato and it was so beautifully presented. They have so many options and they're all so fresh and delicious. That Ecuadorian chocolate is another level too! Mateo and mikayla made our beautiful rose shaped cones! Mateo was so hospitable and knowledgeable too. We will definitely be back
Amorino is such a cute little café on Michigan Avenue in Chicago! The service was excellent, and the place has a really charming vibe. I wasn't a fan of the hot chocolate; it was a bit too thick for me, but my husband loved it, and I think most people would too. We shared a lemon tart that was really good. Overall, a great spot and a nice experience!
It was super busy on a Saturday night. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the inside. They have comfortable places to sit, unfortunately you may or may not be able to sit in them. You order from 3 kiosks. We just got a classic gelato cup. You're able to pick as many flavors as you want. We did hazelnut, blueberry cheesecake, yogurt, and I forgot what the last one was. We also got a white chocolate and pistachio gianduiotto. It was very good. We had to stand and eat outside. Since there are not a lot of gelato places close by, this location will always be busy. Service was fine.
Gelato Stir - Fulton Market's Hidden Gem If you're in Chicago's Fulton Market and craving gelato, Gelato Stir is the spot. I've tried plenty of places, and this one easily takes the crown. The flavors are rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced--never too sweet, never too heavy. The mint chocolate, Amorino-style chocolate, and dulce de leche were absolutely amazing. Each scoop is silky, authentic, and packed with flavor. Honestly, it makes the hype around Amorino feel overrated--Gelato Stir delivers on pure taste. The shop itself has a modern, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly into Fulton Market. Whether it's a quick stop or a night out, this is hands down the best gelato in Fulton Market--maybe even all of Chicago.
The service was great. The employee was super patient while I sampled a bunch of flavors before deciding. The shop has a casual vibe with plenty of seating to hang out. The sorbet drink (4/10) wasn't really for me. It tasted like a slushy, and I just don't like sorbet or slushy-style drinks. The gelato was the highlight. The Gianduja Cream & Hazelnut (8.5/10) was so rich and easily one of my favorites. The Pistachio Cream & Fior di Latte (8.5/10) was also rich, creamy, and super satisfying. The Blueberry Cheesecake (8/10) was another great flavor that I'd get again. Overall, the gelato was really comforting and enjoyable. The texture actually reminded me more of regular ice cream than the super dense gelato I was expecting. I'd honestly rank this above Jeni's because more of the flavors really stood out to me. read more

I fell in love with gelato in Milan and when I saw this place across the street from a ln awesome mexican taqueria, we had to stop in. Stracciatella and Dulce de Leche were my two flavors Super cute they do this rose with the gelato. I got the large and my eyes were definitely larger than my stomach. I was in Chicago craving desserts and my friend told me about this place so I went. The gelato was good and the service was good, but I ordered the cup and it had little crunch beads in it and I didn't like it. Very cute place. read more

The gelato is so yummy! It is hard to pick since the selection is vast. Every flavor I sampled was delicious. What makes this place even better is the STAFF!! Friendly, professional, patient (extremely packed)! I will definitely be back! read more

How about a nice little gelato to cap off a good night? The answer is yes, almost always. It was a stressful week. And this is just what the doctor ordered. Several different flavors to try for free before you commit to some flavors. They are always changing the flavors offered with the season but my favorite was the espresso, stratchitella, and dulce de leche. So many different options and all made with high quality ingredients and delicious af. There are many non-dairy options too! They also offer macaroons too. They scoop the gelato in cute flowers shapes. You can get different flavors in one cup or cone too if you can't settle on just one. The pricing is congruent with the area but not unattainable. Cool comfy cafe area to enjoy the treats. read more

walked in to this place happy and excited, left in the worst mood. we stood in line for twenty minutes just for them to tell us we have to order at the kiosk. i got an affogato and small gelato for almost $20. after waiting 30 more minutes, they told us they didn't have vanilla ice cream for the gelato. that would have been good to know prior to our purchase, but they insisted we use the kiosk despite us already waiting in line for so long. the whole business model of this place seems to be designed with aesthetics in mind, not functionality. if u wanna take cute photos with flower shaped ice cream for instagram photos and u have plenty of patience and time to waste then this is the place for you. but if you're looking for a quick sweet treat, you're better off getting ice cream from a grocery store. read more

It would be so dangerous if I lived down the street from this spot because i'd be here nearly everyday! They offer so much on their menu and there's so much to try. I love their space - you are also able to order on the kiosks! I got a classic cone and you're able to pick a few flavors since they "scoop" petals - but they recommend 3 so that's what we went with! We did pistachio as our main, tiramisu and vanilla. The tiramisu was soooooo good!!! The pistachio is a little more savory than sweet but still good! It was topped with a macaron and you choose your flavors. The staff were also super friendly and welcoming and I loved that! I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their sorbet! read more
The layout and flow of the store could be better but the gelato is worth it. I enjoy the little gelato filled macaroons and their affogato when I'm in the mood. I also like the passion fruit and strawberry flavors together. Service is good, they're busy in that store but they always make sure the gelato flower cones look perfect. read more

The gelato here was so good! Very pleasant and fresh. There was a line and rightfully so. The vibe was nice and the staff were friendly. Definitely recommend. I had a berry cheesecake gelato, the lime basil, pineapple mint, and coconut. They allow you to have up to 5 flavors in one cup/cone. Ordering was convenient via kiosk and counter register. I did not try the facilities there so I can't advise. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 is because staff did not wear gloves. The spatulas they used to get the gelato was on some hands and fingers and I just don't like that. read more
5 star ambiance fisherrr (for sure). I tried going on the website to find exactly what I got but no luck. I got a combo of dark chocolate and expresso and my gf got a combo of chocolate and vanilla (if this helps at all) and I suggest the chocolate and vanilla combo bc the dark chocolate and expresso was intense - meaning, I was not a fan but the quality of the gelato itself was amazing and the staff was kind and that's always a plus. I can only imagine what their gelato milkshakes taste like. I suggest stopping by here for some pure authentic gelato, 9/10 you'll be a fan. read more
Hello Amorino! How did I not know there was an Amorino in Fulton Market?! Well, my partner and I were perusing Chicago Vintage Fest this past weekend when we walked by the iconic gelato shop- famous for their flower shaped treats! I first went to Amorino in 2017 on my first trip to London and I thought I was THE COOLEST GIRL ON THE BLOCK with my flower gelato. Needless to say, stopping in this weekend made me nostalgic for the tumblr days of old (LOL!). The small cup is the perfect size, and I appreciated that I could get multiple flavors! The ordering process was a bit confusing, as you line up to order at the Kiosk (or counter) and then get in a SEPARATE LINE to pick your gelato. I'm sure this is easy to maneuver on a day that is not on the weekend. The staff was very kind and the decor was SO CHIC! Not that this has anything to do with the service at Amorino, but I need Yelp to know that when I was sitting enjoying my gelato I found a pair of sunglasses left on the table. When I went to pick them up and return them to the counter for lost and found a random lady ran up to me and started loudly accusing me of stealing whoever's sunglasses they were. Sigh. Thanks Amorino! I'll be back! read more
