And the gnocchi dish... don't even get me started. The texture made me think I was eating raw dough from my baking sessions. It looked promising when the dish first came out, but the mozzarella cheese on top was chewier than the gnocchi itself. The gnocchi would just become a strange mash when poked with by my fork. The gnocchi was overcooked which resulted in a mushy paste when it should have been pillowy and have a slight resistance when bitten into. Maybe their other foods may have been good, but the combo I got was not filling. I barely touched the gnocchi.

On my next visit to Eataly a couple of days later, I ordered a cappuccino, and while my beverage took a long time to prepare, the espresso tasted very high quality. The pastries looked stunning and decadent, and I imagine they'd pair wonderfully with espresso if you have time to linger at the cafe (I was in a hurry to get to a work meeting). The next day, my team and I visited Eataly's restaurant for lunch. I selected the anchovy toast as my starter and the gnocchi for my main as part of the lunch special. The toast consisted of two slices of sourdough bread topped with creamy lemon spread and anchovies. The contrast of the bright lemon flavor with the ultra-salty anchovies was tempered by the creamy butter - these all paired together quite well. The gnocchi, on the other hand, was underwhelming. The gnocchi was much too soft (it had the texture of mashed potatoes), and the red sauce was bland. All in all, visiting Eataly was a cool way to experience gourmet Italian food.

The lattes were rich and robust, and my husband's hot chocolate was sweet and luscious! I ordered a savory poblano crepe and added shrimp - it was delicious - while my husband ordered a sweet one. The ambiance can be described as nothing other than...REGAL. Just grand, and beautiful - you feel like you're surrounded by luxury. Even the hot sauce is dispensed in these cute glass bottles. And the service matches the regality - everyone is super attentive! Love this and we will be back - not just for the ambiance but also for the food.

I remember the salad being very fresh and delicious with the right ratio of salad dressing to leaves. There's an actual iguana here, which is really funny. I got there early in the morning and when In walked in the front door the aromas hit me like I was on the the Left Bank in Paris. The selection of assorted pastries hit me like a Mack Truck. My mission on this morning was a whole sliced Sourdough bread, other "goodie's" and I finished with one of the best: Coffee Lattes with Espresso mixed with steamed milk and a thin layer of foam. Before even trying their baked goods, my coffee latte was one of the best I've ever had, and I've had them all over the world.
