The quality of the work was 5 stars. no ifs ands or buts. hole fixed, ceiling painted no fuss no muss no mess. It looks great. The office paperwork side was less so. it was a 2 maybe a 3. It was hard to get an estimate, e-mails sent were apparently missed, the office staff was disorganized- and I'm being polite. it was disorganized to the point I felt like they didn't want my business. and setting a date for the work was only marginally less stressful than Noah booking seats on the ark. When the workmen showed up, they had no work order, I got no receipt or anything at all, and they barely spoke English leading to a few misunderstandings. So the work was absolutely first rate but my God, it was a challenge getting it going.

Joseph P…read more Dell'Aquila, the President, according to his business card, came out and took a look at our crawl space for an estimate. Took his time, seemed friendly enough. Told us he couldn't give us a verbal estimate because he had to plug things into whatever computer software in order to be accurate. I can respect that. He said he'd email us an estimate in a few days. That never happened. No estimate. No follow up. Definitely don't respect that. That's pretty unprofessional. Wasted an hour of our time by showing up for what turned out to be purposeless non-existant estimate. If this is how the president of a company operates, I can imagine this isn't a great company to give your money to.

Why we ultimately chose Matt and his crew and Koala was because he was super thorough in his explanation of the entire process and types of insulation material we could chose from. At no point did we feel like he was trying to "upsell" us into a more expensive product or unnecessary work. The price given to us was very fair and about on par with what I expected to pay (heck one of the other companies we were quoted by wanted a few hundred dollars more for half the work Koala was offering to do and installing a not as good product). Fast forward a week later, his crew arrived bright and early to get the job done. They were all super courteous and friendly. They all, especially the owner, made you really feel like part of their family (this isn't even hyperbole I would totally invite them all for a cook out at the house). They also treated both my nosy dogs with respect, making sure to pet them as they went by, again treating us like we were family. They laid down tarps to keep the floors protected, completely removed all of the old insulation, installed the new blown in insulation as well as reflective barrier that we asked for. Sealed any cracks/unwanted opening, and put together a really awesome thermal barrier entry way into our attic hatch. When they were done, they cleaned up after themselves, you couldn't tell anyone was there. it has been a little over a week since the install and my house feels amazing. For the first time since we have moved in, our bedroom feels comfortable. We are able to keep our A/C running at a lower temp and it keeps the house cooler longer without having to constantly run. Overall I highly highly recommend Koala Insulation of Newark. Great family owned company to do business with. I will be using them for all future insulation needs that I may have. They have made a customer for life.

As everyone I am always procrastinating on things that are outta sight outta mind. I knew the…read moreinsulation in my attic was way below what it needed, but I needed a cold day in October to remind me. In searching for a solution I came across WCI. A representative came out and she knew what she was talking about. My house has nothing but horrible electric baseboard heating. On truly cold days it was necessary to crank them up to 75-80 just have the ambient temperature at 67 or so degrees. Mimi arrived and took the tour. She through out lingo I didn't know but she made sure to explain everything fully. After a about three hours I received a proposal which gave me the highest insulation but was priced very reasonably. A few unfortunate events led to a couple reschedules but eventually they arrived and completed the job quickly and efficiently. The technician walked me through what they did which assured me I got what I paid for in full. The truest test was that the temperature has not been below 69 degrees yet. Even on the recent coldest day of January 20-21st 2019 where the high was 15 degrees I never had to adjust the thermostat and it maintained between 69-71 degrees inside. Fantastic work and highly recommended.

Last winter I was looking around for ways to save money on my oil bills, re insulating my attic…read moreseemed to be the most logical. After getting a few estimates from some other insulation contractors. A friend told me to give a Tedco Insulation a call. The guy who estimated my house was super friendly and seemed to actually care about my issues and not just sell me. I discovered my crawl space has no insulation. He recommended closed cell spray foam insulation. He also recommend topping off the existing fiberglass batt insulation in my attic with cellulose blow in. ( I had one guy who wanted to charge big $$ to remove the existing insulation and start fresh just because it was old). After getting the estimate and thinking about the job, I went with them. A few Saturday's later Tedco's crew arrived on time and got right to work. I had a few questions during the job and every guy I spoke was friendly and got me the answer. I was surprised that a few hours later they were finished. Before they left the crew leader went over everything and asked me if there was any issues or questions about the job. After they left my house felt warmer and it looked as clean and put back together as it did before they arrived. I'm very happy with my choice of Tedco Insulation.
