It's a pretty decent home service company, however - the workers are very professional and the service is reasonably priced. I haven't called on them for plumbing service, but their heating & A/C people know their stuff. When I've called them to fix my A/C, they've not only fixed my main problem, but have also done other little fixes (e.g., replace a section of insulated ductwork that had a hole in it) or give helpful tips (e.g., use this type of furnace filter, not this other type). Like any home service company, they can get backed up during "crunch" times. If you're calling them because your A/C broke on the first 90-degree day of the year, you're going to wait a few days. In general, though, they're not going to leave you hanging, especially for routine repair work. Their prices are reasonable, though, and their people are knowledgeable - qualities you want when it's someone working on your home.

The tech put 2 lbs. of refrigerant in and a die pack and said we have a small leak and the unit was cooling. The unit was cool for about 10 hours. We were charged $470.00. We called the next day, but they couldn't fit us in until the day after we called. When the tech arrived, he was here for 10 minutes and said it was our coil. It's been 3 days and they still have yet to give us a quote to fix the coil!!

Mo and…read morehis crew were professional, honest, did great work and really pulled through for us when we were in a jam. A couple months ago I was struggling to find a contractor to come out to my house in Maryland to give me an insulation quote for my new addition. Our insulation guy became unavailable towards the end of our project so we needed someone fast to insulate the space. I called Amira and they squeezed us into their schedule, quickly gave us pricing and helped us stay within our budget. We are so glad we did because we got a quote for spray foam instead of going with batts like we originally had planned and the new addition is probably the most stable temperature of all the rooms in our house now that we're seeing hotter days. We quickly got another spray foam quote for our pole barn shop in Delaware right after that and had them do spray foam on the walls and cellulose blown on the ceiling. I still think it's BS that they would do any work without giving an estimate first but at least the customer service was decent. They offered to refund but since they did the work we don't feel right taking the refund. We just would have appreciated being asked for approval to do the work in the first place. We asked Rays and Sons to come out for an estimate. They came out. Said they'd be back in a week. In that time we NEVER got an estimate so we thought they were coming back to look into it further/troubleshoot a problem and then give an estimate. Nope. They came back out (again, never gave an estimate), did some minor work that looked more like troubleshooting to find out what the work was going to be and then give an estimate. Instead we were hit with a $400 bill for barely any work! Absolutely ridiculous. No way in hell we will ever use them again. This is the second time we've called them for something. The first time seemed pricey but it was work we needed done immediately and didn't have time to look around for a better option. Listen to me when I say take the time and find someone else!
