When the workmen showed up, they had no work order, I got no receipt or anything at all, and they barely spoke English leading to a few misunderstandings. As a higher R-value insulation, spray foam gives more insulation with less thickness then other types of insulation and comes in two types: closed-cell and open-cell. Closed-cell polyurethane spray foam, with its compact cell structure, is effective as an air and water-vapor barrier and is used often in roofing projects and other outdoor applications. Closed-cell spray foam can also act as a mold and moisture deterrent. Open-cell spray foam, with its lighter, more open-cell architecture, is great for sound insulation between interior walls.
