A representative came out and she knew what she was talking about. My house has nothing but horrible electric baseboard heating. On truly cold days it was necessary to crank them up to 75-80 just have the ambient temperature at 67 or so degrees. Mimi arrived and took the tour. She through out lingo I didn't know but she made sure to explain everything fully. After a about three hours I received a proposal which gave me the highest insulation but was priced very reasonably. A few unfortunate events led to a couple reschedules but eventually they arrived and completed the job quickly and efficiently. The technician walked me through what they did which assured me I got what I paid for in full. The truest test was that the temperature has not been below 69 degrees yet. Even on the recent coldest day of January 20-21st 2019 where the high was 15 degrees I never had to adjust the thermostat and it maintained between 69-71 degrees inside. Fantastic work and highly recommended.

It was hard to get an estimate, e-mails sent were apparently missed, the office staff was disorganized- and I'm being polite. it was disorganized to the point I felt like they didn't want my business. and setting a date for the work was only marginally less stressful than Noah booking seats on the ark. When the workmen showed up, they had no work order, I got no receipt or anything at all, and they barely spoke English leading to a few misunderstandings. So the work was absolutely first rate but my God, it was a challenge getting it going.

Hired to float a new layer of mass loaded vinyl (that I'd purchased already) and drywall over a…read moresingle wall in my bedroom for better soundproofing. They were inconsistent in communication, started hours later than scheduled, and the end result included thick clumps of mud in some places, zero mud under/around tape in other places. I was able to remove 80% of the tape on the wall without any hand tools - it just fell off. And some gaps in the drywall were large enough that I could see that they didn't fully cover the wall with the MLV (despite having more than enough material). Tried to get them to come back and sand it down and re-mud, but they were unwilling to make any attempt to make this better. I would have had better results if a kindergarten class had done the job.

We had no soffit vents and the insulation was minimal leading to the attic being very hot and humid (in the summer) and cold in the winter. We decided we wanted to rectify this and so I did my due diligence and got three separate quotes. Green Stone Energy's was the highest of the three. However, this was mostly due to the fact that they would do everything to modernize the attic, including insulating, air sealing, adding soffit vents, and an attic fan. Other companies tried to tell me the attic didn't need to be ventilated but I knew that wasn't true. The experience from start to finish was great. Erick was with us through the whole process. I was most impressed by his professionalism during the quote and throughout the attic modernization. As a higher R-value insulation, spray foam gives more insulation with less thickness then other types of insulation and comes in two types: closed-cell and open-cell. A couple months ago I was struggling to find a contractor to come out to my house in Maryland to give me an insulation quote for my new addition. Our insulation guy became unavailable towards the end of our project so we needed someone fast to insulate the space. I called Amira and they squeezed us into their schedule, quickly gave us pricing and helped us stay within our budget. We are so glad we did because we got a quote for spray foam instead of going with batts like we originally had planned and the new addition is probably the most stable temperature of all the rooms in our house now that we're seeing hotter days.
