This company does not do what they say they will do. You have to check their work and hold them accountable. I advise to go elsewhere.

They showed up early, wore masks and left no trace of their having been there except two attics full of white fluffy glass. They were in and out before we knew it. I could not recommend an insulation company more highly than I do West Chester Insulation.

I knew the…read moreinsulation in my attic was way below what it needed, but I needed a cold day in October to remind me. In searching for a solution I came across WCI. A representative came out and she knew what she was talking about. My house has nothing but horrible electric baseboard heating. On truly cold days it was necessary to crank them up to 75-80 just have the ambient temperature at 67 or so degrees. Mimi arrived and took the tour. She through out lingo I didn't know but she made sure to explain everything fully. After a about three hours I received a proposal which gave me the highest insulation but was priced very reasonably. A few unfortunate events led to a couple reschedules but eventually they arrived and completed the job quickly and efficiently. The technician walked me through what they did which assured me I got what I paid for in full. The truest test was that the temperature has not been below 69 degrees yet. Even on the recent coldest day of January 20-21st 2019 where the high was 15 degrees I never had to adjust the thermostat and it maintained between 69-71 degrees inside. Fantastic work and highly recommended.

It was built between 1895 and 1904, the basement is half stone, half concrete. I had Mcglaughlin insulation spray foam the stone wall in my basement that faces the street. My home has never been the same, controlling the temperature in my has improved 100 fold. The moisture in my basement is easier to control as well which in an older home is a blessing. Thank you Ben for your exemplary work.

From the owner: McGlaughlin Insulation specializes in polyurethane spray foam and cellulose insulation…read more Polyurethane spray foam is a spray-applied cellular plastic, which, when properly installed, can fill hard to reach areas with seamless coverage, providing protection from water and rodent damage. As a higher R-value insulation, spray foam gives more insulation with less thickness then other types of insulation and comes in two types: closed-cell and open-cell. Closed-cell polyurethane spray foam, with its compact cell structure, is effective as an air and water-vapor barrier and is used often in roofing projects and other outdoor applications. Closed-cell spray foam can also act as a mold and moisture deterrent. Open-cell spray foam, with its lighter, more open-cell architecture, is great for sound insulation between interior walls. Cellulose insulation, the latest in home insulation solutions, is a loose-fill insulation made out of renewable, plant-based products and is environmentally friendly, having the highest recycled content of any current insulation material. Recent studies have also shown that cellulose may be a better fire-deterrent than fiberglass. Like spray foam, cellulose can be installed in hard to reach areas, fitting over pipes and wiring. While providing a lower R-value than spray foam, cellulose is traditionally a lower cost option that also provides effective insulation.

We were able to use his detailed report to guide our negotiation with the seller which made the transaction easier to complete. His use of the thermal imaging was worth the price paid as it helped us discover and negotiate a resolve for an issue the seller wasn't even aware of! I would use Shane again and recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home in New Jersey.

First off you…read moremight notice if you speak to them at the office or read up on the company that Shane is the only inspector, this is not a corporate business - this means savings! Shane beat the prices of the two other inspectors I requested quotes from and I was even able to get the infrared imaging to check the walls for moisture and whatnot. The inspection itself was super thorough, the inspection report was also very detailed and you can see a sample report on his website of what you will be getting from him. You can even create a list of items using the website the report is on and it is very easy to do, which you can send to the seller to request to be fixed before you agree on the price. We ended up saving a lot of time and money by sending this list over to the seller. Shane really looked into every crevice of the home, and by walking around with him he gave us some very good advice about what will cost a lot to fix and should be done professionally, and what we could probably do ourselves very cheaply. He also gave us some information in general that would be nice to know about your new home, such as pointing out where the electrical panels and water shutoff valves are. We even got a little book at the end about being a home-owner and things you should know when you own a home. We had actually been able to view two inspection reports on the same home from previous buyers that fell through, and Shane's inspection report caught a lot more things than the other two reports. If for some reason we ever need an inspector in the future we know we will call Shane first.
