Second day on pumkin latte and it's the source of fuel that helps ease the back to back meetings. Speedy and down to earth service is welcoming place compared to other unmentionable establishments. They have gift cards available which was perfect for our upcoming daily Santa elf drop off. Good place to gather and catch up. And just noticed they offer took Chico which is my favorite non coffee beverage. I have a few cases of the glass bottle version which is fantastic with splashes of lemon and salted. it's got the fizz and you won't feel guilty for drinking it.... read more

Nice inside. Comfortable. Could use more chairs and more chair/table combos. They make their mocha's much sweeter than Starbucks, so be ready for that. Their pastries aren't very good. I can tell it is Not made fresh daily. My cheese pastry was stale, and I would've had her microwave it had I known it was a day old. I have been to this location many times and generally like their coffee and the fact that the coffee and dairy are local. However, I have had one too many frustrating experiences and will not be going back. Don't go here after 4pm (they close at 5pm) if you just want a coffee. This COFFEE shop will tell you they can only give you an Americano because they will not make any more coffee after a certain time. I have had this happen several times. Don't go in expecting service if it is almost closing time - even if the door is open. After waiting behind two other customers (who received the requested drinks) I was told by the employee it was 5:02 and they were closed. They can't or won't give you a refund. I recently ordered a small drink but realized it was happy hour and the medium was cheaper, so I requested the medium instead. According to the employee, their system doesn't allow them to give refunds. Fine. It was my mistake. But they could have given me the medium drink anyway. They didn't. Prices are too high. $2.38 (incl'ds tax) for a small coffee! Coffee is good but not so good to be priced that high. New registers require you to select a fixed percentage to add a tip or decline tip. Kind of intimidating. At their prices, seems as though a tip is already partially included. Service is average but leans to the slow side. Choices for breakfast are limited and display is always somewhat barren. read more

Well where to start, I work in the two shell plaza right above the tunnel system in downtown. I am a big fan of coffee, especially great coffee. Amilles has THE best coffee yet! Being locally roasted weekly and to top it off, organic milk! Best combination. The shop is located conveniently where I work so I enjoy the short walk downstairs to great coffee. However one big downfall is that the guy at the register, Daniel, seems to only care about his regulars. I've been going there around two months now and have gotten attitude from him at least 3-4 times. Really think he should reconsider that all customers are the same regardless of how often and how long they've been coming. They also have the best frozen drinks! Chocolate thunder is the best! Unfortunately I find myself going to Starbucks most of the days because they're always are short of ice cream base(what is needed to make a frozen drink)frappe)). So my enjoyable walk usually turns into a long walk to Starbucks! Another thing is that the line is always long. Most of the time, I go around 8-9 am, and always see the short little lady working the line by herself, later accompanied by Daniel who seems to always be gone for a long period of time. Or more often leaves the line unattended while he goes and talks to a specific customer, skipping him to the front of the line. I would love to come here more often than Starbucks because the prices are ridiculous! At Amilles the prices seem fair for a great cup of coffee! I really think they should have a surplus amount of "ice cream base" in case they run out or are low on it. That's a big loss in sales. Really hope they do something about this.. read more
