So I went to this cafe once before and had a flat white with almond milk which was decent and a pistachio muffin which was soooo good! The second time I went the barista put her hand over the milk pitcher when she was tapping out the bubbles and the milk inside of the cup got all over her hand, in my mind, contaminating it. I ordered a milk and honey latte. I have to say it's pretty good. It has a really nice taste especially with the espresso. I got it ice cold and it was perfect on a hot day. If you get the hot latte or cappuccino one they will make an art work out of it. Great coffee. Better than the usual Starbucks stuff. Highly recommend this place. Also if you check in on yelp its free upgrade in size. If you come between 2pm and 4 pm, its their happy hours. Discounted coffee. read more

I've been coming here regularly for the past two weeks and finally feel prepared for my review! I haven't really spent much time in downtown before but it certainly seems like Amille's has a monopoly on tunnel coffee. The latte menu is impressive and so much fun - I personally tried the honey lavender latte and matcha latte which both are incredible. What I love about the flavored lattes is that they pack a lot of flavor but aren't sickly sweet which sometimes happens with flavor syrups. Amille's does it right! They're peach tea is also a top recommend - it's what I tend to get in the afternoon and I love it. In terms of food, there is a lot to offer if you need breakfast (such as quiche, kolaches, bagels & cream cheese) and muffins and croissants throughout the day. They're HUGE so honestly they could probably serve as meal supplements if you wanted. All in all, a great stop in the tunnel, and I've been happy to have it as my coffee pick-me-up! read more

I love this coffee place in the tunnels....I love lattes and they have a lot of different varieties for me to choose from. I can either get it in a to-go cup or sit down, relax and enjoy in a mug. Service is awesome...the baristas here are very friendly. Pastries here are a 100 times better than those of starbucks....from cookies to muffins to quiches to cheesecakes....I have tried many of them and their different flavors. Cranberry Orange and Butter Rum muffins are great, and the quiches are very flavorful also. Though very tempting I have stayed away from the cheesecakes thus far :). read more

I've only seen Amille's Coffee in the downtown tunnels. Haven't seen them located anywhere else. Glad to have an alternative to Starbucks. There's not usually a line, and its convenient location if you prefer better tasting coffee than the cup your company provides. I've been here only a couple of times and I think they offer an 11oz cup or 16oz. I went once in the morning and once during their happy hour. For a 16 oz vanilla latte, it ran me about $5.00. Higher than I'd like to spend for a cup of coffee, but it was tasty and definitely lasted me through the morning. The quality of the coffee was not bad! I'd definitely recommend going during their happy hour. It's $2.50 for an 11 oz or $3.00 for 16 oz. Mon - Fri 2pm to 4pm. They only allow you to get frapps in the 16 oz. This time I got the caramel macchiato frapp. It's a big drink that only cost $3! What a deal! It was sweeter than I preferred but I'll definitely be back for another mid day pick me up. read more

I come to this place pretty often. Sadly because I am an intern I won't be seeing this place again :( (hopefully I can come visit on my free time) I always pass this place when walking to my build (tunnel), and saw their new drink the milk & honey latte. Let me tell you. This drink is great, the honey is used as sweetener, the drink isn't too hot for a summer weather, overall I love this drink. Probably the only drink I've order from this place. They recently got a new coffee maker, and the latte taste even better. Let me say this place has the best customer service (despite the fact the service can be slow because they make your coffee with care), super nice people, today I was greeted and wished a good day (I said thank you but my earbuds kinda make me speak softer so I'm not sure if they heard me :( ). The coffee is tasty enough, but in addition to being more expensive than comparable coffee elsewhere, the price they charged was more than was clearly listed on the menu. The sign said $3.00 and it rang up $3.50 plus tax. I pointed out the error and was casually informed that the price does not matter, only what "the system" wants you to pay. Neither employee even turned to look at the menu and made excuses why the company chose to defraud customers, clearly frustrated that I expected to pay the price advertised and making it clear that they had no interest at all in taking any step in that direction, and I was seen as unreasonable for having thought they would care. There are three possibilities implied by the business response: 1) they have updated the menu since my review 2) they updated the POS system since my review 3) the help never learned to use the POS correctly and was not ringing up what management now claims would not only not have overcharged but would somehow have undercharged. No, my experience was in no way exaggerated. I was charged more than the menu price by this business. I was ignored when I pointed it out, and in the response to my review the businesses again claimed I was wrong. Check again. $3.00 plus Tax is not $3.87, or "slightly less". It was not a "communication" problem, it was a business process. Errors that benefit the business and go I uncorrected lose the distinction "honest mistake" read more

I'm not a coffee person to begin with but I saw so many of coffee addicted colleagues rush to this place religiously, every single day! So finally I decided to check it out and guess what! I had gone there almost every single day since then lol. I had ordered a range of blended coffee drinks over the course of 1 year - Dark chocolate mocha (my most favourite), caramel macchiato, turtle mocha . My husband, friends and colleagues love their Cortado, Americano! Daniel Moreno - If you're still there, u're the best barista ever! This is an update to my original review: I ordered a cortado to go, I had some issue with it terms of how quickly it was made. I spoke with the owner and I understand it to be more of a training item. With a few tweaks on the grind and pull time things should be better. I appreciate his quick and cordial response to address my concerns. I will definitely be back to try again and this time to sit down and enjoy my coffee properly. I've been 5 times in the last 8 business days and the young girl, in the afternoons is racist and goes out of her way to make me feel like I've bothered her and she doesn't want my money. While my husband and I were having a staycation and staying at a nearby hotel we decided to explore the downtown tunnels. I saw this coffee shop was highly rated so I wanted to make a stop while we walked around. I definitely see why the ratings are high. Mine and his coffees were delicious! Located underground, but seem mostly a convenient spot for those who commute in the tunnels and headed for work or on a break. I had their lemon scone and Chai Tea. They warm up the scone which isn't bad but doesn't taste freshly made and the Chai tea was relaxing as I sat on the few tables they have in front of the registers. I come to Amille's every day and buy coffee and sometimes breakfast before I go to work. There is rarely a line; and when there is the barristas are very friendly and fast. After the 2nd time I went there they remembered what I ordered and got it right every time after that. The music is curated by whomever is working a shift and AWESOME! They have a customer loyalty card too, that is stamped every time you buy a coffee. There's a free coffee when the card is used up. I tend to order the same type of drink every time I go in there. They've been helpful in suggesting other drinks I might enjoy and they've been accurate every time. I love this place, the staff and the coffee. You won't be disappointed. read more

I have been going to this Amille's for 4 years now. It used to have only top notch baristas making amazing espresso. However, in the past 1-2 months, they hired a bunch of new baristas and only about half of them know how to make espresso. The rest of the new hires make terrible espresso. I recently got a poorly made latte from one of the new hires and it was so bad I didn't want to drink it and just threw it away. So disappointed because this place used to be 5 star. read more
