Great pizza spot in Maywood. One of the best margherita pies I've ever had. The location is very clean and the staff is very nice.

Absolutely terrible. Delivery was 30 minutes late! Called to inquire about where my order was, and whomever answered the phone, offered very little assistance. Mozz sticks were cold (cheese was never cooked to a degree that would melt it.) I order a panini with chicken and mushrooms, panini was never pressed and if you blinked you could have missed the piece of mushroom added. Also ordered a CHEESEstake with hardly any cheese. Definitely would not recommend. Very disappointed!! read more

Amici's Restaurant - Pizza Near Me - Maywood, New Jersey

Had to wait 1/2 hour to be seated- blower was on and it was blowing right on us and freezing, they wouldn't turn it off- asked for table change, said they couldn't- soup took forever to come out, and the meals took even longer- I complained to owner and he was totally rude- food was decent but I will not return after the way we were treated, very unpleasant experience- the owner at the least could have offered dessert on the house, but nothing except rude talkback to me- read more

After a break-up with our old pizza spot, my family and I spent the better part of this last year trying to find our new pizza place. We finally found it at Amici's. Their pizza is perfection! After anticipating their opening for the last few weeks, we finally tried them out last night. We got a margarita pizza, which has a delicious sauce made with San Marzano tomatoes, the primavera pizza, which was a white pizza with vegetables on top, a plain cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Each one was delicious in its own way. The crust was crispy on all four pizzas and held up well with the toppings. You can tell that Amici's uses quality ingredients. My son also ordered the meatballs, which I didn't taste, but he said they were great. We ordered it to pick up and my husband said they were efficient and friendly. Amici's was definitely worth the wait and, I'm happy to say, that our search for a new pizza spot is officially over! read more

My second go round for takeout pizza. First it was the House Special pie. Bland and soggy. The second go round was just on Super Bowl Sunday. Plain pie and an order of rice balls. Pie was chewy and sauce was way too sweet for my liking. As for the rice balls. Certainly not like your grandmother made and way overpriced. 2 small rice balls for 12.00. read more

Had a 7:30 reservation for six. Were told it would be a minute or two. Over a half hour later we are still outside waiting snd they have taken two other groups before us. They came after us and no apology or anything. Go to this restaurant if you want to wait and wait and wait. read more

I have only gotten pizza here to go. I have tried about four different pies and with the exception of the pasta pie they have all been great. The end two inches around the circumference of the pie has absolutely no sauce on it. As a result I always order extra sauce, and make a point of specifying it a few times on the phone when I call to place the order. The problem is that most of the time my request has been ignored. It takes me about 20 minutes to get home, so when I open the box and clearly see there is no extra sauce, I am not going to make a trip back. I did get an apology when I called, but when all is said and done, I am left with a fairly dry pizza. Skip the pasta pie ad try one of their other delicious pizzas. read more

Tried this restaurant recently and it was a really nice experience. Obviously the pizza was delicious, but my families favorite part may have been the riceballs in vodka sauce. So good!!! Can't wait to go back read more

Perfection! When my boyfriend and I walked into Amici's, we were immediately greeted with smiles and welcoming staff. It was a quiet Saturday, early afternoon, everything was clean and spacious. The food was absolutely delicious! Pizza and fried calamari was served hot and tasted fresh. We will return soon! Thank you for wonderful service read more

See all

Went by for a slice, picked up a nonna slice which was really good thin crispy and the sauce was excellent. I also tried their Buffalo slice which was great made with fresh chicken cutlet (not bs frozen tenders) hot sauce blue cheese and a little celery which was a nice touch. I was alone so thats all I got, but I'll definitely go back to try some other options read more

Pizza is dry. Overpriced brick oven pizza. There are much better brick oven options available locally.

Finally a great Italian Sit down restaurant in Maywood. We loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable!! So looking forward to coming back.. the escarole & bean soup was as good as grandma's! The pizza is authentic and delicious.. the fried seafood appetizer portion was generous and the batter was light with great combination of calamari, cod & shrimp..the owner Rosario and the waiter Francesco were pleasant, friendly and could not do enough for all the patrons.. Thanks for a great night out. read more

This place is a must try. Went Saturday with my wife for dinner. They were super busy but handle it well . We had a salad and two of there wood fired pizzas . The said was great it had blue cheese pears and nuts but that pizza wow. The crust is tender and a little chewey it has some crisp to it and the flavor of the sauce . The dinnner was so good that I went back on Sunday with my kids an had the momma pie which was hands down the best grandma pie I ever had tbe fried calamari was cooked to perfection and it had tentacle which is the best part and unfortunately most restaurants don't use them but amici does and it's great. We found our new pizza place we will take the ride from Washington township it is well worth it read more

I love this great new addition to Maywood. The food is great and the staff is extremely friendly.

Very popular restaurant. Busy on a wed night . I went to meet some friends because I found it on Yelp. I was pleasantly surprised. The minute I walked in the door the owner noticed and was right on top of everything. The service was fantastic we ate outdoors and had the most fabulous homemade bread first. Our meals came with a house salad and the food was fantastic. Beautifully plated, perfectly prepared and the price was amazing. BYOB makes this even a bigger plus. The owner comes out and introduces himself clearly very passionate about what he does. Highly recommend. read more

This place is amazing, I had the chicken parm... !!! It was tasty , the cheese and bread was gooey and soft. I highly recommend it . The staff was friendly and welcoming !! Please tell your friends and make sure you go, This place should be on the top of your list. read more

Love the food and the environment but the girls who answer the are rude and unprofessional. I'd rather deal with automated voice machine

Amazing place! Food & service were both excellent! First time to Little Italy & NYC for that matter. I had the Ziti ala Vodka, my husband had spaghetti pesto, & my daughter had the fettuccine Alfredo...all dishes were incredible! We may come back for lunch tomorrow. read more

My name is Sam and I ordered from amici's for the first time for New Years. We didn't know what to expect from this place but we said let's give it a shot. To my surprise the food was excellent. The way we were treated exceeded my expectations as well. It was very busy because it was New Years. So we waited maybe ten minutes extra and they even threw in a free pizza pie for the delay. The ten minutes did not matter to me, New Years is a crazy time and delays are inevitable. But it was nice to know that Amici's cared enough to give us a whole pie. What a great first experience. We had ordered a couple different dishes , calamari, mussels, clams, shrimp, and everything was great. I can't wait to order their other dishes because I already know it's gonna hit the spot. read more

Food is excellent. I always order lunches from them and this is our place to go for weekends. Service is fantastic. Highly recommend the Amici's Restaurant. read more

We have been to this restaurant a few times now. The food has been good each time. The look of the dining room(s) is very pleasant, however, I can't say that I have enjoyed the dining experience. The overall noise level borders on intolerable. The choice of music is off putting and the front end experience needs a lot of work. I am also not a fan of establishments who pass on a surcharge for using a credit card. As a business owner myself, this is just a cost of doing business. I had high hopes for this place as I watched it being built. Unfortunately, I can't say that I would ever recommend it to anyone. read more

My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE Amici's! We go there almost every week and are never disappointed :) the Nonna's pie and the rice balls with vodka sauce are both out of this world! I've also tried the amalfi salad which was amazing as well. It's always busy and there's a reason for that! People who complain about waiting sorry but you gotta be patient.. the food is worth it! 100%. You can tell the staff works so hard too.. definitely a place to try if you haven't yet! read more

Had a great dining experience at Amici's tonight. Ordered the fried calamari and meatballs for apps and they were fresh and delicious. The pizza was also amazing. Cute restaurant in Maywood and I'll definitely come back and order from here again. Staff and owner are super friendly. Only negative is that they charge a $2 fee if you pay with a credit card. I know it's not much but it's 2021. Hopefully they get rid of that nonsense fee. read more

Great Neapolitan pizza. Bunch of guys from Brooklyn who makes great food. Highly recommended.

New place, thought it was a good idea to try it out. Aesthetics are top tier. But the food needs a little work. Needs a little bit of work. Also, messed up order for wings and pizza. Panini needs to be pressed and actually seared. All around, I would get again. Recommendations- Pay attention to the order, sear and toast panini, keep original cheese pizza and continue making the pasta freshly. The sauce needs to be switched to whatever you are using to Tony Ds Sauce out of Rochelle Park. read more

We just ate at Amici's for the first time and I have to say, it was fabulous! It's a byob and it's really not a pizza joint, it's an actual restaurant. Our meals were fabulous.......never saw Pork Parm., Pork Francais or Pork Marsala.......all of which were awesome. My pork Francais was so tender and moist, there was no need for a knife. Some entrees come with a salad, potatoes and veggies. The portions are a good size (I took home leftovers)....the presentation of the meals were done beautifully. Our waiter, Franchesco, is adorable....straight from Naples. The additional seating area is almost ready to open.....one suggestion, dim the lights a bit....other than that, it's a great place!!! Food prices are very reasonable for all you get. Good luck to the chef and Rosario!!! We will be back many times. read more

Friendly, quick and most of all good food... I've eaten there several times, mostly indoor dining.

Wow! The food was delicious. The Chicken Francese was delicious and the Penne Vodka was out of this world. The owner kept checking on us like we were VIPs. Great service, great food and good times. read more

We heard good things about this new restaurant serving great Italian food in Maywood. We gave it a try. Easy to order on line and they do delivery. We ordered their House Special Pizza | Cauliflower crust and the meatball parm hero. Fast and friendly delivery. The menu indicated a 9" x 12" pie. It was actually a round, six slice, 12" pie. It was thin crust. Well prepared nice and crunchy crust. Fresh toppings. Excellent tomato sauce. Delicious. The hero was very good. Fresh Mozzarella cheese, fresh bread and excellent, well seasoned meat balls. Good prices. We will definitely come back. read more

Great food, excellent location, friendly staff but this restaurant is definitely not a place to dine and have a conversation. The noise levels are ridiculous especially considering my Apple Watch told me what the decibel level was and it was scary. This place could use much better acoustics! read more

This is our favorite local pizza place. The wood fire pizza is amazing, we've always had the best experience here.

Consistently delicious (Have gone 4 straight Wednesdays since friend recommended)...Wood-fired Marguerite Pizza...I get Shrimp Oreganata (I also like the Shrimp Beeps but that's more of a Rock Shrimp and i like my Shrimp tender) and my friend loves her various pasta dishes (Salad comes with the Entrees and bread is delicious). James is a great waiter and Tatiana is a hard-working server/beauty (She always helps with the digestion...haha). read more

The individual pizzas are amazing! Beautiful fresh & different toppings. The sauce tastes like the tomatoes were fresh picked & made to order. Incredible read more

Da bomb, Rosie is the F-ing man !!! Everything is delicious, well prepped, hot and outstanding

Have now been here a few times, and find it consistently good - both the pizza (esp Nonna) and then the dishes, too. It wasn't terribly crowded on the few weeknights we came and service was pretty good. Friendly atmosphere. Eggplant parm, one of my favorite dishes, was prepared very well. Not too heavy at all. The report from my dining partners who had chicken dishes was that they were very good too. Nice neighborhood place. Recommend. read more

My family and my brothers family ate together at Amici's tonight, and let me tell you that this isn't your average pizzeria. The food is so flavorful! I tried a little of what everyone had and I'll tell you what we had. My daughter had the Margarita pie and it was delicious! My son had spaghetti with meat sauce and that too was great! The fried mixed seafood appetizer was right on and the fried Calamari was also on point. My niece had the Penne with Vodka sauce and that was literally off the charts good. I had the Grilled Seafood over Mixed Greens and I couldn't be happier . A healthy portion of Scallops (which I love Scallops) My wife said her Chicken Parmigiana was very good. My brother had Grandma's Sunday Gravy and the Meatballs were yummy, the sausage was holy cow! I forget what everyone else had but of course I tried it and everything was fantastic. So perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, fresh, flavorful and well done. I enjoy food and people who take pride in their product and the pride in their work. They should be proud of what they're building over there. Great service, good ownership, friendly staff and delicious food. We will be back again and again! read more

This place can't miss! I went here for the first time on a friends birthday and it was family style so we got salad, different pastas, pizza, and chicken parm/franchise. Each thing kept coming out better than the last! I came back with my parents and once again was not disappointed. The wood fire pizza is BOMB!!! You really just can't go wrong. Plus - BYOB! It's such a cute place and management is super friendly. A gem born in maywood read more

Very good pizza and sandwiches from what I've experienced so far. Great quality ingredients, however, I'm really disappointed in the size of the pizza you get for the cost. I'd return for slices inside the pizzeria and will definitely try the entrees and dine in one day. But I can't order pies from here again. To spend $26 on a 2 topping margarita pie and to receive a pie with slices literally slightly larger than the size of my iPhone doesn't sit right with me. That's my only complaint but by far best pizza on the Maywood strip. read more

Amazing food! The Buffalo wings were very good not to spicy, a solid salad, and the sides were very good. Better than the average pizzeria.
