Anastasia is a good teacher. I took about 10 lessons with her and passed my first time. She's very personable and takes her time.

The day before my test, my regular instructor Neil was replaced without notice by a new instructor, Sujata, who arrived with zero knowledge of my progress -- she asked if I had ever driven before. She spent the first 15 minutes on her phone, covered basics I learned months ago, and introduced techniques the night before my road test that directly contradicted everything Neil had taught me. The stress triggered a full panic attack and I had to exit the vehicle. When a passerby stopped to check on me, Sujata told them "she's fine" and did nothing. I called Drive Rite that same day and explicitly told them: if Sujata was my instructor on test day, I would fail. They kept her assigned anyway. I failed my road test. The examiner told me my nerves got the best of me -- which is a direct consequence of being destabilized by an unprepared instructor the night before. After the test, Sujata drove away while I was still exiting the vehicle -- leaving me stranded in traffic. No concern for my safety whatsoever. When I called to escalate, the representative told me to calm down. I later discovered through the chargeback process that Drive Rite's own internal notes from one week before my test rated my chances of passing as "50/50" -- information they never shared with me. I also discovered they had flagged my anxiety disorder internally as a behavioral concern while making zero accommodations for it. These notes were withheld from me as a paying customer and only surfaced when Drive Rite submitted them to dispute my refund request. Their chargeback response also repeatedly misspelled my last name and referenced an instructor named "Jada" -- a name that does not correspond to anyone I was ever assigned. This is the level of care they apply to official documentation. Drive Rite took my money, withheld critical information about my own readiness, ignored a direct warning that the instructor substitution would cause me to fail, and left me stranded in traffic. Their refund policy does not cover service that was never delivered. I have filed complaints with Capital One, the CFPB, and the New York Attorney General's office. Do not give this school your money.

Back to school but with that one amazing teacher you remember--AVERY JONES is that teacher!! Growing up NYC, as we all know, have less of a priority to drive cars because of our awesome transit system, The MTA, and the like--and he made these lessons as clear and simple as possible for me. As a complete novice, Avery turned these classes I had with him into unforgettable moments and certain life lessons: -Turning every key topic into a straightforward, easy-learning analogy. -applying real-time experience to point out right and wrong ways other drivers navigate the road (if you're from the city, you know!) -Engaging and review critical points and keep notes of what you need to improve and practice on. He made our time incredibly engaging, thoughtful, and entertaining beyond all measure. I recommend this business and him--1,000,000% percent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

My driving instructor, Frank Dao, is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. After going through multiple instructors at another driving school who never took the time to explain my weaknesses or how to improve, working with Frank was a game changer. He clearly explains mistakes, makes sure you understand how to correct them, and gives detailed, practical tips for everything, from mastering turns to parallel parking. Thanks to Gold Success and Frank's incredible instruction, I passed my road test, and I am truly grateful. I couldn't recommend them more!

I highly recommend Frank if you are a beginner and want a no-nonsense instructor. He is tough, but…read moreit's because he truly wants you to pass your road test. If you carefully follow and study his instructions, you will be well-prepared. I was extremely nervous throughout the process and honestly did not think I would pass but I did, all thanks to Frank (especially after failing my first road test 10 years ago). The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because my first assigned instructor was very unprofessional and did not take the lesson seriously. At the end of the lesson, he even asked if he could call me, which felt inappropriate and left me with nothing learned. I contacted the receptionist, explained the situation, and asked to be reassigned, which is when I was paired with Frank. While I was grateful for the switch, I do feel the school should have provided me with a makeup lesson since my first one was a complete waste of time. That said, I'm very glad that with only 4 lessons, I was able to absorb enough from Frank to pass my test. I do believe that if I had been given a proper makeup lesson with him, I might have finished with fewer points deducted.
