Absolutely loved this place! There's a cute little bakery / coffee section when you first walk in. Lunch was awesome, the servers were on top of everything. Food came out fast and was very tasty. I definitely can't wait to have dinner here.

Just wow ! What a beautiful restaurant ! Staff was extremely friendly, attentive and well dressed. This is an upscale restaurant with a fancy James Bond theme. Perfect for a date night or intimate dinner. Menu had so many delicious options. They also have happy hour during the week. What a nice experience !

Beautiful, spacious and elegantly decorated restaurant in Bayonne. Service was speedy, friendly and felt like family. We were very well taken care of. The bartenders made us incredibly drinks; I had the Vanessa and my husband had it I'legal. We shared the deluxe Focaccia with arugula, tomatoes & prosciutto. So delicious: freshly made focaccias in their wood fired oven right in front of us. For mains I had the Eggs Purgatorio and my husband had steak & eggs. Everything was delicious and made to perfection. Highly recommend this spot. Would return again in a heartbeat.

Let me preface with I am a Jersey girl living in Miami. Whenever I come back home, I eat my body weight in Taylor ham, bagels and of course everything Italian! I was staying with a girlfriend in Bayonne and she suggested we go to Americano for dinner. Wow! Ambience is giving very much New York City and we loved it! We decided to sit at the bar to order food and cocktails. We ordered the burrata appetizer, margarita pizza, truffle and porcini pizza and if you thought we were done... you were wrong! We ordered a flatbread pizza with prosciutto and arugula. Service was a little slow... But it was a Friday night. I'm not complaining. We ended up meeting people at the bar and having a fun conversation. 10/10

Upon entering it was beautiful inside! It gives a James Bond/Casablanca vibe. Piano, waiters in white jackets and black bow ties, tall palm plants, velvet chairs, half moon booths with chandeliers over each one, and I could go on! Great for photos! And.....the food was delicious! We had the octopus app, a sirloin steak, lobster fra diavolo with linguine, roasted potatoes, creamed spinach and dessert. The presentation was perfection and the taste even better! I will definitely go back to try more of the menu. It was an amazing surprise!

This is an upscale dining establishment that looks like a high end hotel restaurant in midtown Manhattan. The service is classy and attentive. The food is standard Italian fare. The gnocchi tartufo was prepared well but not very memorable. The food took quite a long time to come out. The Evangelista cocktail was low on alcohol. A swanky night in Bayonne if you don't want to take the trip to New York.

Americano continues to be the best restaurant in Bayonne. The service is excellent and the food is superb. Andy, the manager, is incredibly sweet and helpful. From reception to the waitstaff, everyone is outstanding.

Loved this modern speakeasy, so charming spacious, romantic and picturesque with amazing pictures of celebrities in fun poses. Great for a business meeting or a date. I went for lunch and the bartender started us off with espresso martinis at the bar, as they got our table ready. We started with the seafood tower that had shrimp lobster mussels oysters and scallops tasty and plentiful. We ordered the grilled octopus which I loved and also picked at a filet mignon that was cooked to perfection. The service was pretty attentive but they were setting up for dinner so they were a bit occupied. Will be back for more, see you soon

The best surprise! The food, service, and ambiance were impeccable. Alvaro was so professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. He ensured we had a great experience. This establishment is definitely a gem. The entire staff were kind and welcoming. The restrooms were very clean. The music selection was upbeat and diverse. We really enjoyed our experience here at Americano . Can't wait to return. Thank you!

I went here on a Saturday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday and very much enjoyed the evening! There were about 5 or so other groups celebrating birthdays so it was clearly the place to be lol As a party of 11, our server Jacob was very attentive and patient as we asked different questions about the menu (it was everyone's first time visiting). We ordered some apps to share (I was too hungry to snap those pics): calamari, charcuterie, and Caesar salad. I ordered the chicken parm (pictured) which doesn't come with a side, but I did take half home! To drink, I ordered the Goodnight, which was recommended by our server. Overall, I wouldn't come here daily as it is on the pricier side, but would definitely come back! Side note: there is a free parking garage available for restaurant guests, but it was full when we got there. Street parking wasn't too bad though!

Updating my review and changing it to a one. We have been here multiple times and tonight was the final straw. We are always baffled by the prices but come back because we liked the food and even though it was expensive the food was always amazing. And the atmosphere is so classy yet cozy. Now the food is not amazing. It's boxed pasta for $31!!! The menu says homemade pasta. It's completely misleading. I took one bite of it and I'm like "this is from a box." Do not mislead your customers making them think they are paying for fresh pasta. Also if you want a side of pasta it's $14. If you want one piece of bacon it's $13. If you want to be ripped off come here. I used to put up with the prices because of how good the food is. Food is mediocre now and prices more expensive, I have no idea why it changed. Also service was slow and the wait staff kept dropping utensils left and right. I get that things like that happen but this place is "fine dining" and I don't think their wait staff is trained in that at all. They should give them proper training.

The Americano in Bayonne is an absolute gem! Their Italian food is top-notch, with fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and a homemade touch that makes every bite unforgettable. The pizzas are especially outstanding--perfectly crisp crust, delicious sauce, and just the right amount of toppings. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. Whether you're craving a classic pasta dish, a mouthwatering pizza, or a well-crafted cocktail, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in Bayonne! They also have a very cute coffee and dessert bar that serves croissants and cinnamon rolls vanilla meringue, cake, Italian cheesecake, red velvet cake, coconut cake, CROSTATA chocolate mousse cake, TARTELLETTE frutti di bosco, biscotti TARTELLETTE lemon meringue flavor, and Sicilian cannolis with pistachio cream & Sicilian cream

Most recently was last night and that was my last straw. The music was incredibly and unnecessarily loud which they knew because they told us they'd turn it down before we got the chance to ask. Next, there was one waitress on the floor, clearly overwhelmed. Told us she would be back with water but came back almost 20 mins later. We ordered our wine when she came back because who knows how long it would take to receive it. Another 20 mins, maybe more. We watched her seat several groups and I literally had to scream across the room to get her attention and to remind her of the bottle we ordered, which she had the nerve to appear annoyed about. We asked her if we could move from our tables to a nearby couch which she said yes. Before we had a the chance to finish the bottle the GM comes over and tells us to move our seats and that he would take care of us (NEVER DID NOR DID HE CHECK IN). This is the same GM who asked me to give the place another try after the last issues we encountered where they screwed up our checks due their own carelessness. I should've raised more of an issue and questioned him more. But nevertheless we move to these two musty smelling seats. At that point we left and decided that would be the absolute last time. Go at your own risk!

Staff is very professional and friendly, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Honestly, all the food is great here but some of my favorites are definitely the carpaccio and calamari appetizer (the calamari is the BEST I ever had, hands down) and their coffee panacota for dessert is also out of this world, just amazing! For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

The creamy Calabrian pepper tomato sauce delivers a legitimate, vibrant heat that doesn't hold back. Breaking into the Italian burrata is essential; the creamy center beautifully tempers the spice, while the micro basil adds a nice hit of freshness. We also started with the truffle fries, which were executed perfectly--crispy, aromatic, and a total highlight. The Service: While the food was top-tier, the service wasn't great which is why I deducted 2 whole stars. I ordered a ginger ale that never made it to the table, yet it still appeared on our final bill - not cool. It's a small detail, but at this level of dining and price point, you expect those things to be caught. Also, the service overall was pretty slow which was disappointing. Verdict: Even with the minor billing oversight, the culinary execution is elite. If you're a fan of bold, spicy pasta and a great atmosphere, this is still a JC must-visit. A mid-80s Mets obsessive who yearns for the days of Mookie Wilson and Bob Murphy, I haven't kept up with baseball so much in recent years. That all-star game tie and DH in the NL didn't appeal to me so much. Game 7 of the World Series provided an opportunity for me to be a "normal American" and watch the game at the bar. But I didn't want to buy $80 of drinks so I figured I'd try for inning 6 and beyond and get the finale. So the plan was Cork City for part and maybe another for the ending. The game was on many TVs, caught that cool double play. The sound was on but the talking kind of drowned it out, which seemed less than ideal. However, after I left, none of the 30-ish bars I walked past even had the sound on! So much for all the "sports bars" in this town. (To be fair: it was Halloween weekend, and business decisions to appeal to 20-something women in lingerie and their admirers may have been a factor). After going to 14th and back I was ready to enjoy extra innings at Cork City. But they were at capacity. Game Over. Yes, I'm copping to my inexperience in Hoboken bar-going. Turns out Cork City offered the best baseball experience in town. As for the bar itself, I enjoyed the Peach Fuzz cider from Pennings. The service was friendly. I'll try again on an off-peak night. My plan didn't work out but at least I got some steps in and learned that many sports fans are liars.
