So the last time I step foot into an American Eagle store, I was in my late 20's! Now in my 40's I was looking to feel nostalgic, so I hopped over to this location and I gotta say, Michelle and her staff are so bad ass! Great service all the way around. They kept asking if I had any questions about sizes, and if I'd like to try anything on. I felt like a valued customer. The clothes are great quality, super comfortable, and stylish too! I left happy with a new set of threads, and a fun dog toy to boot for my little guy. Overall a 20 out of 10! Thanks Michelle for taking great care of your customers! You and your staff are amazing! read more

I stopped in at American Eagle to pick up a pair of jeans that my daughter recommended. The sales associates there were genuinely friendly and very nice and helpful. I really appreciate the friendliness. read more

I had a very frustrating experience at the Aerie in Vacaville Premium Outlets on July 6th. I placed an order for in-store pickup, picked up two tops, and went back to my hotel to try them on (I have severe anxiety and prefer not to try clothes on in-store). Unfortunately, they didn't fit, so I returned to the store about 30 minutes later to exchange them for larger sizes in the same style and color. The employee who helped me was incredibly dismissive. Without even checking my order or asking for details, she just said, "hm I can't do that," with no explanation. When I asked why, she claimed their system "doesn't work like that" and told me to come back in three days. I explained that I was visiting and didn't live nearby, and she offered no real solution just said I could keep the wrong sizes or buy the new ones and try returning later. When I mentioned that my email said exchanges could be done in-store or by mail, she got visibly annoyed. Only after I showed her the email did she finally agree to look up my order. Once she had the order number, the system worked fine but she told me not to do that again, as if I'd done something wrong. Her attitude made the whole experience stressful and uncomfortable. I understand systems can have limitations, but the lack of basic customer service and empathy was really disappointing. I hope Aerie addresses this so others don't have to go through the same. read more

One of the cleanest store and friendliest staff we ever been too. Everyone greeted us and was willing to help find different sizes and styles. The store was very organized even though it was 300pm with well over 50 customers in the store at the time. We will be back. read more

They don't stand behind the quality of their product. If you wash it and it falls apart you're stuck with it.

The dressing rooms were so dark and makes you look super contrasty. The lighting was so horrendous it's like they wanted you to look bad trying clothes on. Maybe people would buy more things if they could see better in the fitting rooms. read more

Corporate, listen up. If the store is open until 8pm, why can't customers come in before 8PM? Bad business, "we close in 2 minutes, sorry our registers are closed". Close your store. Or change the time to 7:58 and stop letting people in at 6PM. If the store is open until 8 and you don't want a closing shift, work at a bakery. read more

This review is to say something nice about the about customer service and to praise the selection, size range, and fit of their jeans. My 16-year-old, who happily describes her own body as "Pixar mom body," found several pairs of jeans she loves that fit perfectly! Especially, no gapping at the back of the waistband. She's a size 14, and they had lots to offer in her size, plus the size range is 00 to at least 24W. Love that most body types are accommodated here. All the staff who helped us were courteous and efficient. If there are store loss prevention personnel lurking about (and I'm sure there are) they were invisible to us and not obnoxious, as some other reviewers described. Overall, a very good experience at this American Eagle Outfitters outlet. read more

there were items not on clearance in the clearance racks and employees refused to check where their products were and honor it. I've worked in retail for many years and the first thing you do is always check what the signs say where the product was. However, these employees didn't care enough to do that. read more

My teen and I love American Eagle jeans but lately she has also been a fan of Aerie. We always have such great experiences and customer service in the store. We went in to American Eagle on Saturday and Ariel was working in the fitting room. I complimented her outfit and without asking she went and grabbed the jeans for my daughter. She was so helpful and kind. Thanks Ariel! read more

I always wanted to try on an Aerie bra but the unpredictability of bra sizes kept me from making an online purchase. So when I saw a storefront was added to the Vacaville outlets I was so excited. And for the first time ever I had a great time trying on bras. Kam took amazing care of me with my fitting and giving me the popular bras to try on. Sadly, I didn't walk away with any bras in my hand because they did not have my sizes in the store. I did, however, place an online order based on the bras I tried on. It was a tad bit disappointing to know they wouldn't carry my sizes in store, but they made up for it by making it easy to have it delivered to my door. I now only wish they would open up a storefront in my local mall read more

One of my favorite clothing brands. So of course I was happy that an outlet opened up in Vacaville. This store is rather small, however, there are plenty of great deals. As always savings vary by season but you can always expect to save up to 70% from original. The staff is here has been helpful, no complaints. read more

I shop here a lot, and love the brand. I understand theft is a problem, however whenever I go in with a return, they give me a rash and a shit about it and when I shop they follow me around. Closely. I can hear them on the Walkie Talkies they use (they're loud, yall) and I can hear them thinking I'm stealing. Sometimes I just like to browse! I went in this week with jeans and a t shirt and no purse and the woman with the long hair followed me around like a puppy, and continued to speak in the walkie (I was the only one in the store on the woman's side.....?) and then checked my clothes AND the changing room I was in. Check for what?? That has NEVER happened to me here or at any other store. Rubbish. So disappointing. I am not a thief, don't treat your customers like shit. read more

Dont go to this store, everything is misplace and mislabeled. They dont even honor or even fix there mistakes. Found at least 3 items mislabeled and I ask them to fix it and they wont even bother fixing the signs. Very bad customer service and organization read more

I just left this place and let me tell you, what a phenomenal experience. The manager Brittany was so helpful and answered every one of my questions. She made sure I left with 4 adorable outfits for back to school. Love the energy she brings to this store! There was also two young gentlemen (Josh and Raul) who were very funny and helped me find my sizes! I see them all the time when I come in and their energy always puts me in a good mood. Wonderful! Will definitely be back! read more

Had to do a rerun today with Aerie stuff today so I came by the store today and I was surprised to see that they added on Aerie to the store! It was a big space & had tons of stuff! Everyone who worked there were really nice & helped me out. I really appreciate this because you don't see this kind of customer service not that much anymore. Thanks! read more

After spending $40 on a pair of jeans the tab on the zipper broke in the wash before I was even able to wear them. Their products are overpriced for the cheap quality and they will not let you return products that clearly were not made properly and had a manufacturer error. read more

Had one of the worst shopping experiences ever at this store The management left us standing in line waiting to check out for 10 minutes while they did something behind the counter When my daughter questioned a price - she was met with yet another rude employee who was way to bothered to actuality answer her question with any politeness at all -the problem was the confusing signage they use for sale items - but regardless to be so openly rude to a customer I have never seen anything like it I then called the manager on the phone and her excuse was - there was a lot going on in the store - really ??? There were two customers - us and the people checking out infront of us - that took 10 minutes while we waited -that's it I was always taught customers come first no matter what - and then to rude on top of it I will never step foot in this store again - read more

So I placed an online order for store pickup. Went to the store to pick it up (my email said it was ready) and the store had a sign taped to their window saying they were CLOSED for the day. Are they even allowed to do that? their store hours on the window displays the time the business should be open and I went during their business hours. nothing on their website, the email, or the internet communication said that they would be closed. Employees ignored me when I was at the window. I was not planning on shopping, simply picking up my order. They told me I had to come back another day. Really?!?! Again, I was not in store shopping...simply picking up what I already ordered online. I live more than 30 minutes away from the store and stopped by during their normal business hours not professional nor acceptable for a business to do this to their customers. read more

I used to love coming into this store! Lately I've had very poor customer service. I've stood in line alone for 5 minutes while there's employees walking around, SEEING I needed assistance. I've been in this store more then a handful of times and have never been greeted but people that come in behind me get greeted.... It's something small but I don't get it.... I wanted to test it out so I started to look at some sweaters next to 2 employees to see if they would say hi and ask me if I needed help but nothing, instead they started talking in a lower tone after I didn't walk away they just looked at me and then walked off to fold clothes on the table next on the other side.... Their is one employee that I always get help from and she is awesome! I believe she's middle Eastern, sorry if I wrong. I look to see if she's there. Even the manager doesn't seem like she doesn't want to help...... read more

Horrible customer service. If you pay with a debit card or even PayPal online or in store, it is still your money and cash orginally in the bank. So if you ask for cash with a receipt you should get cash. But instead we came out with a giftcard? WTF. Never shopping here again. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I went in to get some jeans and wasn't able to find my size. No big deal, I've had jeans ordered by them before. I order the jeans, run a couple more errands and head home. I get a confirmation order and the incorrect size was ordered. Immediately, I call back and am told that if I had called back within 5 minutes of the order being placed, I could have had it cancelled. Seriously?? I didn't request the incorrect size, the cashier was obviously not attentive or meticulous and was at fault for the error. No apology at all from him. I asked for the manager and she just kept reiterating the policy and procedure to me. Not cool. Now I have to WAIT for jeans that don't fit then go back and order them? Wow. This is definitely going to make me not buy from them again. read more

The return policy is a joke. I wanted to return a pair of jeans I bought over the weekend. My husband used his debt card. I had the receipt but not his debit card thinking I can just get cash back.. Nope you can only get store credit or use his card. I asked if I could use my debit card to put the return on but the manager Rose wouldn't let it happen. She was rude so now I have to come back out here with my husband I'm annoyed. read more

I just left American eagle right now so displeased and shocked on how I was treated by "mv03" treated me and my friend. He was very rude when I walked up to him and said "excuse me?" He looked at me and walked away. I then followed him saying "excuse me, I need help." He then gave me a plain look a while I was waiting for a response that never came. I then ask him a few questions and he was very short and acted like he didn't care. I expect this if it was busy. But I was maybe the 5th customer in the store. Once I got to the register unwanted to use a gift card that was on my phone and the guy "mv03" didn't even want to scan my phone. He just said oh it's not valid. I said what do you mean. He replied it won't work. I then said but I have money here and he said "nope doesn't work". I was so upset. I walked out there not buying anything because he made me not like going to that store anymore. I know his register name because my friend who was behind me bought something from him and that register name was on the receipt. She was also complaining about how he treated her bad and not like a customer should be. He wasn't smiling or welcoming. She said that's the first and last time she will ever go into that American eagle again. read more

What I loved about this store was one of the associates, who was always eager to assist me with obtaining a fitting room in a timely matter while multitasking, I believe his name was Josh. He was really one of the only associates that made me enjoy my time shopping. HOWEVER, I had a terrible associate who rang me up at the register who DID NOT ask me for my information so that I could receive my points for being an AE awards member EVEN AFTER I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS PRIOR TO HIM FINISHING THE TRANSACTION. He did not even try to correct this problem and when I asked him why didn't he ask for my information he GAVE ME THE EXCUSE THAT THE TRANSACTION HAD ALREADY BEEN MADE. He was rude and completely inconsiderate AND EVEN rang up my jeans twice which was priced at about $20 but because of his carelessness I was charged about $40!! I even had a top that had a white tag and therefore qualified for the promotion but he did not try to correct the problem and charge me the correct amount, INSTEAD HE JUST FINISHED THE TRANSACTION AS SWIFTLY AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT ANY REGARD TO MY CONCERNS. I ended up paying about $140 and he DID NOT even bother with customer service?! I've worked in retail and I know that is NOT how a customer should be treated! Because of this associate's carelessness I had THE WORST experience at this particular AE and I am a frequent customer in the AE stores in SD. Josh was truly the only reason why I would EVER come back to this particular store. read more

Was shopping in the clearance rack and everything with a white sticker was an additional 50% off but when they rang me up, they charged original price. I asked why and the manager just kept telling me it was marked incorrectly but all the other shirts were marked the same. Eventually, she just told me, with a really bad attitude as if I was the one who put the sticker on there, that the shirt was the price it was and that I didn't get the discount. read more

I won't be shopping at this store again. The exchange policy is ridiculous, the staff has little knowledge of it apparently. I was trying to exchange three pairs of men's trunks for a larger size as the cashier is ringing them up I see I have a balance. She said we couldn't do an even exchange because when I had bought the trunks originally they were on sale. It should be an even exchange, right. I ended up just taking my refund and leaving the store. I called customer service and was told that in order for me to have done an even exchange the trunks would have to have been the same colors. (Was never told this in the store) I'm baffled if the trunks were the same price and just the size and color are different why won't you exchange them? I have been shopping at AEO for a little under 20 years. I'm sad to say I might be giving up the brand all together after this incident. read more

I am used to exceptional staff at American Eagle stores; this is not the case at the Vacaville location. Management is quite rude.

I've had quite a few annoyances with this location but I'll focus on the most recent one that made me decide not to shop here anymore. I saw there were jeans for $20, but none left in my size so I kept looking around and saw a shelf marked "SALE 50% off" with jeans, sweaters, and tank tops on it. There was a pair of jeans in my size so I grabbed them and went to check out. They rang up as $50, which was way more than I was willing to spend on these particular jeans. I asked an employee why they were full price if they were on a shelf marked 50% off and she said "our jeans will never be 50% off, that's only for the sweaters" very flippantly. The sign did not specify that, so I feel that was incredibly misleading. Plus, the jeans on the $20 rack were 50+% off, so that obviously wasn't true. Every time I come here, the employees are unhelpful or straight up rude. I will definitely be returning the jeans and am unlikely to shop here anymore. 2 stars because they do have cute clothes, but not worth their regular prices or having to deal with rudeness. read more

I can't believe all the negative reviews I have seen on here. The management as well as the staff has always been extremely attentive and helpful any time I go there (which is probably twice a month). The deals here are absolutely AMAZING. $20 jeans? YES! They always have a large clearance section and you can get amazing prices. One time I wanted to see if they carried a pair of black pants I had bought in the past and 1 employee and 1 manager both searched on my behalf. One looked in store, and another looked online to see if they could find that exact pair of pants. Also, the manager offered to call me if anything close came into the store (I left my business card). The customer service is outstanding, the employees are always really friendly, and they truly help me every time I go. Make sure you sign up with their rewards and you can save even more. I never made it a habit to use my rewards card before, but now with the outlet savings and rewards savings I save a lot of money on quality clothes. read more

I went to this store today, July 2nd, 2016 at about 1:30PM. This place has terrible customer service. I was never greeted or asked if I needed helped. I was looking at jeans near the door, and one of the sales reps comes up to the table and starts fixing the table. Then another rep comes to fix the table at the same time. Both seem annoyed. I literally looked at one pair of jeans and folded it before I put it back. I did not hear one word from them, but I heard them ask someone else if they were doing okay. I went to the fitting room and the girl with long brown hair came out. Clearly I wanted to try something on, so I go back out to get her. When I left the fitting room, she gives me the dirtiest look. I guess she figured I couldn't see her in the giant mirror right in front of me!! Idiot! What is wrong with you people??! I understand your job is hard, but that is what you are getting paid to do! You're there to provide customer service. Find another job if it's that terrible. read more
