Gulick's Auto Body - Before and after

Shout out to Greg for being so thorough and for the great communication while my car was in the shop, and also shout out to the sweet woman at the front desk, she always was so helpful each time I came in. Really appreciate all of your hard work!

I decided to have a pro look at my rear bumper that was a bit loose on the right side. Don't know…read morehow I managed that, but I knew I couldn't keep driving with it in that condition. So on my way back from previous appointment, I decided to stop by Gulick's Autobody, Inc, Petaluma's original bodyshop, they have been in Petaluma for decades and are involved with car shows & such. I figured what harm would it be to get an estimate without getting my insurance involved. So I parked in their expanse parking lot walked in and tried to explain my dilemma to the receptionist, before I could say more, Greg came around the counter and asked me to take him to my car, and show him the problem. And within minutes he told me what they could do, gave me an estimate, which was a very fair price and I decided to have them fix it. I will admit I was ready to try to repair it myself with a silly You Tube video & some product they recommended. But the more I thought about it, the safety issues, etc and besides who was I kidding, I didn't wanna get dirty or fail, I'm gonna leave this to the pros at Gulick's Autobody, Inc. I just needed to wait a couple days for a part, and that was fine because I needed my car for the weekend. We agreed, they called the next week day. I went in and within an hour my bumper was securely attached and looking good, safe and on the road again. So glad I went in to get a quote and work done at a reputable bodyshop.

I highly recommend Shotwell. I damaged my car in a parking garage. I got three quotes from shops in…read morePetaluma, and Shotwell was by far the most reasonable. They did a fantastic job fixing my car. I was especially impressed with the paint match. My car is 8 years old and I didn't think anyone would be able to match part of the car with new paint. It's perfect. I was really happy overall with the experience I had with them.

The driver of the car misjudged the distance and scraped my car. The driver called their insurance company, AAA, and accepted the responsibility. Their AAA person reached out to me and recommended Shotwell because they were less that 10 mins from me, AAA was connected electronically with Shotwell, and Shotwells was across the street from Enterprise. I went to Shotwell, and in a few minutes after the front office took my info, the Manager, Charlelene, came out to assess what they had to do to fix it. I could only see the scrape. She could see that the bumper scarred and the sensors near the wheel and behind would needed to be checked and calibrated, and how they would fix the scrape down to the body. So check 2 for competere. The highlight was Charlene herself, whose "having fun" personality meshed well with my own. They gave me the estimate the next day, and the guess was they'd need my car for 3 days. Turned out it was a day and a half. The desk staff were great. When I dropped of my car one the staff drov me across Petaluma Blvd N. I'm 81, and I wasn't about to try and navigate across that busy read with any expections of arriving alive! I had forgotten to take my garage door opener when I dropped off the car. I called later and asked if they could get it out of the car for. No problem! It would be at the front desk. Net net, The SERVICE component was off the charts. Charlene and her folks made it an easy peasy (and fun!) experience. Oh, and the car was in close to perfect condition. What was missing? The car had been cleaned, land the drivers side had a plastic mat to keep the diet from the person who took the car out for me had left that in there. Everything else was spot on. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate Shotwell a 10. And if the the plastic wasn't there I'd give it an 11. And if got to banter with Charlene for a couple of minutes, I'd go to a 15!!

My car suffered scrapes on the front and rear bumpers, a dent on the driver's side door, and the driver's side mirror was completely ripped off of the car. I contacted Caliber Collision for an estimate. To my surprise, when I brought the car in, they had already contacted my insurance company and were prepared to proceed with my repair. They had even reserved a rental car for me. I was impressed immediately by how efficiently everything was handled. I worked with the general manager, Anthony Morales, who was wonderful! Caliber Collision kept in touch with me, updating my quote and estimated date the car would be finished. It turned out, my car was ready earlier than I anticipated and the repair cost was lower than estimated. When does that ever happen? My car was beautifully washed and looked fantastic - all the scratches were gone and the new mirror looked great. The dent was removed. It was fantastic to see my car so clean and in such good shape! I have never had such a positive experience with auto body work involving an insurance company. I highly recommend Anthony and his competent team at Caliber Collision!

My mom took her car here after being involved in a hit and run at the local sprouts grocery store…read more Her driver rear bumper was damaged. My mom was out of the country when Caliber completed the job so Caliber offered to drive the vehicle to my house in San Francisco to sign off on the repair and pay the insurance deductible. So far, everything was great and Caliber was going above and beyond to accommodate my family's needs. On Oct 18th, Caliber drove the vehicle to my house and the repair was shoddy to say the least. They replaced the bumper without blending the quarter panel or the trunk lid. The fitment of the new bumper is off and the paint match to both the quarter and the trunk are horrendous. Anthony, the manager was claiming that the vehicle could have been painted previously which is why the panels don't match. The car is a 2022 and has 3,667 miles. My mom is the original owner and it's not been painted under her ownership. I was told by Anthony that insurance never pays to blend panels that are metal against plastic. I made it very clear to Anthony that I was not satisfied with this job. He kept repeating that customer satisfaction was their number one priority but did absolutely nothing to go to bat for me to fix the issue, other than offer to blend it for me for an additional $800-1300. I understand some people are not that particular about their cars, my mom is one of those people. I've attached some photos of the car as well as the work order that was disclosed to me. If you do not care about how your car looks, this place is fine but if you want a job well done, I would look elsewhere. If it's not already clear from my review. I would absolutely not take my personal cars to Caliber.
