I was parked in front of Cucina Paradiso and a car pulled over to let a lights and sirens firetruck come down the Boulevard. The driver of the car misjudged the distance and scraped my car. The driver called their insurance company, AAA, and accepted the responsibility. Their AAA person reached out to me and recommended Shotwell because they were less that 10 mins from me, AAA was connected electronically with Shotwell, and Shotwells was across the street from Enterprise. I went to Shotwell, and in a few minutes after the front office took my info, the Manager, Charlelene, came out to assess what they had to do to fix it. I could only see the scrape. She could see that the bumper scarred and the sensors near the wheel and behind would needed to be checked and calibrated, and how they would fix the scrape down to the body. So check 2 for competere. The highlight was Charlene herself, whose "having fun" personality meshed well with my own. They gave me the estimate the next day, and the guess was they'd need my car for 3 days. Turned out it was a day and a half. The desk staff were great. When I dropped of my car one the staff drov me across Petaluma Blvd N. I'm 81, and I wasn't about to try and navigate across that busy read with any expections of arriving alive! I had forgotten to take my garage door opener when I dropped off the car. I called later and asked if they could get it out of the car for. No problem! It would be at the front desk. Net net, The SERVICE component was off the charts. Charlene and her folks made it an easy peasy (and fun!) experience. Oh, and the car was in close to perfect condition. What was missing? The car had been cleaned, land the drivers side had a plastic mat to keep the diet from the person who took the car out for me had left that in there. Everything else was spot on. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate Shotwell a 10. And if the the plastic wasn't there I'd give it an 11. And if got to banter with Charlene for a couple of minutes, I'd go to a 15!! read more

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE From the time they received our car from the tow company, and talking to their rep; you feel good about doing business with them. Once they got insurance approval they went to work, provide an estimate time to complete work, and then a phone call a few days before work should be completed. They finished the work a week ahead of schedule and go the extra mile to ensure work was done completely. You couldn't even tell the car was damaged (even though it was mostly underneath the car). Charlene, the owner, helped with my Jeep's repair and a cosmetic fix to the inside I could not say better things about her pricing, service, and truly everything about the shop! My repair was going to take a week and they were kind enough to give my car back for the Thanksgiving holiday and let me drop it back off. When I got my car back they had washed and detailed it (the best car wash I've gotten, every dog and horse hair on the inside was gone) even though they knew it was going to come right back to them and get taken apart for the repair. Shotwell auto body is amazing. I had repairs done from G&C auto body 2 years prior, and unfortunately the repairs were less than satisfactory. Due to G&C's repairs, I inherited a horrible rattling sound that would emit from the driver side compartment of my car every time it was driven. I attempted to have G&C repair the work, which they refused and denied doing certain repairs... with that said shotwell took my car and with diagnostic, and time they were able to find the issue... and fix it. My wife and I are very satisfied, as this was a fix we didn't think would be resolved so easily. The entire out of pocket cost was only $720 dollars compared to what would have been an arm and a leg from G&C. Charlene, and Maurice are awesome and they were extremely helpful! read more

Just so good it's stupid, these guys are stupid good. My wife wrecked her car twice in a week, yeah don't say a word or I will jump through this here computer. Anyhow, she wrecked the front drivers side with bumper and inside stuff was damaged as well, plus for an encore she wrecked passenger side door a week later, I was thinking maybe I should put off fixing it so she can wreck the back end and they can just do the entire car, but I went ahead and had shotwells fix it. Well we were originally at another body shop who blew it, I wont mention names but a chain that is more of a meat grinder for ins companies then an auto body shop. They blew it on customer service, so I had to switch in the middle of the process (no fun) to another company. I did not choose other company, my ins company choose them, but shotwells is also preferred with AAA ins, so the switch was painless. I cannot say enough about the staff and quality of the work. And they gave me 3 days estimate on both jobs, so I thought it was 6 days total, but they were done in 3! Man, the wife's car looks so new I'm actually glad she wrecked it. They went above the call of duty and did many items above estimate, I couldn't believe all the things that were fixed, and the car was detailed, and they fixed the headlights that were a mess. Man I am a shotwells customer for life, if your car is messed up or you want work, don't choose the other place, this is the place you want to go.
