After 12 tumultuous years with another HVAC company who sold, installed and serviced our furnace -…read moreand then nickeled and dimed us and tried to tell us our furnace needed replacing ASAP, we found Care Heating & Cooling on Yelp and I picked them to get a second opinion based on their Yelp ratings and reviews. They came, assessed and won my trust and business. We religiously care for and service our furnace as I don't want it to fail in the dead of winter. After looking at our furnace, Care told us that they did not see a need to replace it - that it checked out tine. We also had them service the AC unit which, knock on wood, has a been a gem and never yet failed us. They not only did the service, they made recommendations on how to maximize the cool air where it was wanted by shutting off the areas where we don't need it! I wish I would have known this was possible 25 years ago! As I freeze in the north side of the house while the hubby sweats in the south side. I work from home and my office is in the cool part and his TV room is in the south. We get direct sun that heats up that room quickly. Bottom line - this company is the bomb. One I look forward to having service our HVAC needs in the future.

After initial excuses, the owner, Tim Smith, said the installation would be done by September 18. When I called him on September 23, he gave me "his word" it would be done by September 25. As of October 16, they still have my deposit and two units have not been installed. Taking half the payment, missing repeated commitments, and then going silent is unacceptable. This company is a scam and the owner is not trustworthy.

After doing a small repair for me in January, I hired him in September 2026 for a full HVAC replacement quoted at $7,560, scheduled for October 5. Before the install date, he requested multiple advance payments: Sept. 24: Paid $560 down payment. Sept. 28: Paid $800 extra for a larger 2.5-ton A/C unit. Oct. 2: Paid $1,200 after he promised to drop off the equipment at my garage that day. He never dropped off any equipment. On the scheduled install day (Oct. 5) and the days following, he failed to show up, repeatedly offering personal excuses via text. On Oct. 7, after he failed to arrive yet again, I canceled the project and demanded my money back. Out $2,560 with zero work done and zero equipment delivered, he refused to refund me. I have filed a dispute with my bank and submitted a police report for fraud and theft. Please be extremely cautious and protect your money.

I looked on the manufacturer's web site and saw the instruction video on replacing the part and it was an unbelievably easy install. Three stars for their cordiality and quick response.
