Additionally, they charge nonnegotiable fees for services like interior conditioning and paint enhancement...adding another $1000 to the final, out-the-door price. Yesterday (8/13/2026), I went to Cary Imports to look at two cars that I had found online (Cargurus). I had no idea what to expect. Fortunately, I found a neat, well run business offering clean, high-quality used cars owned and managed by a friendly, affable young man who is there to provide an exceptional car buying experience. Both cars I tested were very clean, well maintained, and fully documented. The price I paid for the car I bought was the price listed on Cargurus, which included the $499 doc fee. The appropriate taxes and license, registration, and title fees were calculated and added at closing. That's it. It was an enjoyable, satisfying experience and one that I can heartily recommend. I trailered the car home the first night the car alarm was triggered multiple times. I took the car to a Land Rover mechanic the next morning. He said the car should have never passed inspection. He found the rear door latch was bad, someone wedged a piece of metal in the hood latch to keep that sensor from tripping. The vehicle had been wrecked and not reported and the front sensor was damaged. So far I am out of pocket $1,300.00 in 48 hours. Beware Jose only cares about a sale and does not stand by his product. Z-Auto is also at fault for a fraudulent NC inspection.

It has been awhile since I encountered this level of bull crap at a car dealer. My best friend and I went to this dealer because she was in a bind and without a car to get to work. Mohammad listened to us explain her vulnerable situation and then, sold her an overpriced car that broke down two days later AND has now been diagnosed with a multitude of problems. But, not to worry Mohammad assured us there was a 90 day warranty on the car. Oops...another lie. He would have had to pay for that. Also, we both doubt that he showed us the carfax for the correct car as he wouldn't print it and we had to look at it on his phone. Yeah....we were stupid, but, you want to believe people aren't assholes. Lesson learned.

We purchased a vehicle 1.5 years ago from North Hills Motors and although there were some issues nothing out of the norm (except for a constant smell in the vehicle we could not place). We decided to upgrade to an suv and to our surprise during the trade i inspection we're told/shown the vehicle had been in an accident and was put back together poorly. In fact there was a leak in the trunk and the water was pooling under the mats (where spare tire is located) and growing mold (hence the smell), the side of the vehicle was not painted properly and the headlight was placed in the hole and held there by a piece of metal that has since rusted out. We believed NHM when they said they did a bumper to bumper check, showed us a clean car fax and signed off on the document that states no structural damage. Our mistake was not taking it to a mechanic for a pre purchase inspection. So please if you buy from NHM or any other used car dealer don't make the costly mistake we did...get the vehicle inspected by a third party before purchasing. We since have found out there have been others who have had similar experiences so again if my posting an update helps someone be more aware I'm happy I wrote it, learn from my mistake!
