Our experience here was okay. I made an appointment to test drive two cars on a Saturday morning right when they opened. When we got there, both of the cars had been sold but the rep was not aware of it. She was able to find the spare key so I guess they didn't give those to the buyers. I would've liked to be informed that those had been sold before I made the drive, so just make sure to call ahead and confirm because they won't let you know if a car has been sold. We then still tried to make it work and look at some other cars but there was only one on site we wanted to see that wasn't ready to be test driven so we were told we had to wait until Monday to come back and test. Unacceptable Safety Failure - Honda and Autopark Honda Must Take Responsibility I am absolutely appalled and furious with both Honda and Autopark Honda for their complete disregard for customer safety and accountability. While driving my Honda HR-V under normal conditions on my way to work Saturday 10/25/25 on NC Highway 54, my vehicle suddenly illuminated multiple dashboard lights and began to decelerate (despite me pressing the accelerator). Within seconds, the steering became nearly impossible, the brakes failed to respond, and even the hazard lights would not activate due to an apparent electrical malfunction. I was left helpless in moving traffic, with my life and the lives of others in danger. There were no prior warning signs whatsoever. My car had been serviced at Autopark Honda Service Center on September 19, 2025, including a transmission service. Nothing abnormal--such as debris or metal fragments--was noted or communicated to me. After the terrifying incident, I had my vehicle towed back to Autopark Honda, where I was informed that the transmission had completely failed. Upon doing my own research, I discovered Honda Service Bulletin #21-047 (April 27, 2021), which documents premature CVT belt deterioration in 2016-2020 HR-V models--a known and serious issue. Yet despite this documented defect, Honda has refused to take responsibility, citing that my vehicle is only about 10 months beyond the 7-year warranty extension. This is absolutely unacceptable. A critical transmission failure that causes total loss of power, steering, braking, and hazard lights is not a routine maintenance issue--it is a serious safety hazard that could have resulted in a fatal accident. For Honda to deny responsibility over a matter of months, despite a clear pattern of mechanical defect acknowledged in their own service bulletin, is shameful and negligent. Consumers deserve better. I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing a Honda--especially from Autopark Honda--to think twice. Safety should never expire with a warranty. I went to this dealership and right away I see a Homda HRV with low miles for a good price. I ask the salesmen if I can buy and he says sure but then they cant find the keys for 15 min. Then I sit down at a desk for 30-40 min. Then I wait around for the finance guy for 30 min. Going thru a crap ton of paperwork signing left and right. Then I wait another 15-20 min for them to finish the inspection. Then finalllly I leave super unsatisfied. The dealership experience is absolutely horrible. I will be buying a Tesla next time so I can just be in and out and not have to talk to sleeeeezy salesmen. **5/7/24 Update** After weeks of trying to speak with the representative from Honda assigned to my case, they finally called back the proper phone number. She indicated that Honda would not assist further with the paint repair. At this point, the offer with the local Honda dealer has expired. I'm *extremely* disappointed that this is how I've been treated after 25+ years of being a loyal Honda customer. I've purchased several vehicles from Honda, and this will be the last. While AutoPark Honda says they take this seriously, they're not willing to contribute to the repairs to keep my business either. They sold me the car, and in five years, the paint is peeling off of it. The body shop indicated that it's a routine issue that they've seen occur, so the dealer AND the manufacturer should be held liable for this. ** 4/29/24 Update ** Following the dealer response I did speak with someone at AutoPark Honda who reiterated that they cannot assist with the issue. They acknowledged that white painted cars are having issues however, until or unless a recall is issued they can't (won't) assist. They directed me to Honda Corp support. Terrible experience trying to buy a car in a cash deal. My car salesman was some disturbed kid named Christian Larsen, who has serious anger issues. My trade in vehicle was worth more than the car I was interested in buying and Christian got upset when I didn't take his lowball offer. This is after he said he would punch his manager in the face if he didn't offer more. But either way, the offer was too low so I wasn't going just accept it without continuing my vehicle search a bit more. This kid insulted me when I said I was going to call someone for advice, and then he refused to return MY car keys when I said I was going to continue my vehicle search elsewhere before making a decision. He got so mad as if he thought my car was already his and I had to take his lowball offer. And he literally refused to give me back my car keys for a while and said I wasn't allowed to go grab them myself from the "tower". So I started making a bunch of noise and was about to call the police but a sales manager came over and diffused the situation by making him give me my keys back. Actually the sales manager gave me back my keys while Christian was having a hissy fit in his "tower". To be honest, I'm not sure how he's even a car salesperson in the first place because all he did was talk bad about the dealership policies, said he was going to punch his boss in the face, and then got all upset and insulting while refusing to give my keys back. I would have bought the car (as that's what I drove there to do in the first place) but obviously when you have to deal with a jerk you aren't going to buy anything from them. I went down the road to another dealership and bought a better car same day with nothing out of pocket. From start to finish, Autopark Cary service department disappoints and worse, is unwelcoming and overpriced. From the first call, to change $135 just to diagnose a problem without any credit toward the overall bill, this business treats customers as though it is doing you a favor just to walk in the door. Repairs cost an extra 25% more than other Honda dealers and 50% more than non-dealer mechanics. Will not go back. Purchased an Accord from this dealership. The overall sale was fine, it was the sit-down with Oscar that everything bad you hear about sales people came true. After explaining all the additional options to add to our already steep monthly payment, we declined on purchasing the gap insurance and the additional parts coverage. News Flash--YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED to buy those additional coverages. Then Oscar explained why we should make those additional purchases by explaining the benefits again, and again, and again, and again and again, repreating himself as though we were to dumb to understand him the first time, while ignoring our obvious disinterest in making our monthly payment higher and higher. When you hear about pushy obnoxious sales people, you hope you don't encounter them. But, the car-buying experience will ultimately put you in close contact with such individuals. The half hour we spent with Oscar caused anxiety and stress to the point where we agreed to purchase additional coverage we DID NOT WANT, just to make the experience end. When we finally left the dealership, and walked outside, it was a joy to breath fresh air into our lungs after the awful suffocating and stressful time we spent in the finance department with Oscar. Today, I got my Honda serviced. I had some things that needed attention, but originally, my goal was to solely get an oil change. I ended up getting a rear differential service, an oil change, and a mount and balance service for one tire. I was told that, "The technician found a nail in your tire and that it was leaking!" No problem. After I was told about the "leak", I asked for a picture, to which my salesman responded, "he is going to send me over a video now for you!" Shortly after that, I was approached and was shown the picture of said "leak" from the salesman's phone (after I was told that I would be sent a video). Strike one. I noticed that the picture was zoomed in to where I couldn't tell if it was my car. Strike two. As I was being shown the picture, my salesman was nervously shaking as if he was guilty (because he was). Strike three. I should've declined that service from those interactions alone, but due to high emotion and confusion, I decided to get it "fixed" (feeling like I was left with no further options). Shortly after, I asked for a video of said "leak" once more (prior to the service just to make sure). I waited awhile for a response via text and had to re-approach my salesman. Strike four. I asked again if I could see a video of said "leak" in my tire to which he responded,"The technician is almost done and that he couldn't send the video through their app." Why couldn't I have been sent a simple picture or video via text message if my tire truthfully had a leak and if we were already using that as a means to communicate in the first place? Hmm, seemed like an intentional upsell. But then again, this is sales and you've got to do what you can to hit that quota no matter what; even if it means using manipulative tactics for gain. My son test drove a vehicle right before the weekend. He and his wife completed the financing to get the car, but they had to wait until Monday or Tuesday for the check. The car needed a sensor repaired, so the salesman said he would pull the car around to the shop for the repairs and it would be ready when he picked it up. My son called Monday to inquire about the repair and let the salesman know he would have the check from the bank by morning. The salesman informed him the vehicle was in the shop and the sensor would be repaired in time. My son called Tuesday morning to let the salesman know he had the check and was coming to do the paperwork. At which time, he was Informed the vehicle was sold on Monday. The car was still listed as available, so I thought there was a misunderstanding. I reached out to the dealership and was told the car was still available and I scheduled an appointment to see it. I drove over an hour to see the car to be told it was sold "an hour ago!" The communication at this dealership is poor to say the least, and the customer service is completely unacceptable. I would not purchase a car from this dealership because I can't trust anything I'm told. I am only giving one star rating because there is no option to select no stars. read more

I didn't purchase my Honda Pilot here but brought it in for service because the location is closer to my home. Booking an appointment online was super simple. I pulled my car into the service center and someone immediately met me at my car. I was then brought over to a service agent to review the maintenance issues I had made an appointment for. My husband was on his way to pick me up so I waited inside for a few minutes. There were a LOT of people waiting but I think this is typical these days (I'm new to the car-being-serviced-at-the-dealership thing). Each employee that I passed said hello to me which I thought was nice. My service ended up taking the entire day so I'm glad I had a ride. When I returned to pick up my car, my service agent David reviewed the outcomes for each of my service items and made sure I didn't have any other questions. DON'T SERVICE YOUR HONDA AT CARY PARK HONDA. My 2023 CRV has 4,400 miles. I needed a tire replaced. Since the car was new I brought it to CARY PARK HONDA. I can't drive too long because of my health issues so once there I was stuck. The tire cost about $65. They charged me total of $217. The difference was approximately $150 FOR INSTALLING ONE TIRE. Also they would not honor the usual tred wear discount on a tire with 4,400 mile on it. All this because I have difficulty driving and once at the dealership I really was at their mercy. Tampered with my vehicle!!!!!! Sickening that they would take advantage of a young single female and put me in danger. I have a 2022 civic. I have had zero issues with my car. I brought my vehicle in on 1/08/25 for a basic oil change, tire rotation, and tire balance. Immediately after leaving I noticed my car was dramatically pulling to the left. If I kept my steering wheel straight within a second I would have been driving into oncoming traffic. I have NEVER had the slightest alignment issue with this car. My MPG dropped from 29 to 19 within a day due to the excessive resistance. I had the car put onto a lift and discovered that the front left tie rod was marked with a blue marker and turned half a rotation with the blue line facing down. That seemed odd... the right rod had no marking... why would the mechanic feel the need to mark my tie rod during a basic tire rotation that has nothing to do with these parts. We then turned the blue line to face directly up and my alignment was miraculously straight again. They purposely tampered with my alignment to force me to pay for an alignment and new tires due to the uneven wear. read more

Boy, I'm really lucky to have EVAN has my Service Rep at Leith Honda Autopark in Cary, NC. I've been having this problem with my 2017 Honda HRV-EXL-AWD since purchasing it new from Scott Clark Honda in Charlotte, NC. A problem that has cost me to buy 7 batteries in 7 years. EVAN at Leith Autopark, Cary, NC explained in detail several times that it was the Control Unit malfunctioning and causing the batteries to drain quickly. I couldnt believe it, so I tried reaching out to Honda of America to see if its a manufacturer's recall. Was told no. Till finally the problem got worst and with over 150,000 miles in 7 years I agreed to pay to replace the Control Unit for this plastic piece. It's amazing but everything today is practically made of plastic filaments and fiberglass. Anyway, it seemed to have corrected the problem. So, I thanked EVAN and drove off happy. Later that night I filled-up my gas tank at Sheetz and I tried this 'NEW ETHANOL GASOLINE WITH THE YELLOW HANDLE'. Well, within in minutes my lil HRV was having the same original problems...the Emergency Emmissions light came on, red park light and everytime I stopped and tried to restart my vehicle it was choking for dear life. I was for sure it was the Control Unit... I called Leith Honda Autopark Immediately and Demanded they check my vehicle. I went online did my homework and read about All the connecting components the Control Unit actually controlled. It's alot for a little plastic box. Next day I was upset, but EVAN who is always very calm and soft spoken assured me he would have my vehicle thoroughly checked by the 'Master Mechanic'. I even suggested some possibilities of the problem. But, I never thought that for the FIRST, ONLY and LAST TIME I used the NEW YELLOW HANDLE ETHANOL GASOLINE FROM SHEETZ would reacted so negativity in my vehicle. I had NEVER USED ANY OTHER OCTANE GASOLINE THAN 87 and Up. And, I mostly use ExxonMobil because of the reward points I earn everytime I fill-up my tank. Well, long story short... it was the YELLOW HANDLE ETHANOL GASOLINE FROM SHEETZ that ALMOST KILLED MY 2017 HONDA HRV EMISSIONS SYSTEM. The Master Mechanic at Leith Honda Autopark noticed the problem right away. I was told he could smell the ETHANOL GASOLINE right away. I was advised to drive out all the BAD ETHANOL GASOLINE out of my tank, and then refill my tank with top 93 grade gasoline. I did just that... I went on a 400 mile road trip to nowhere. My 2017 HRV can do over 350 miles on a full tank of gas on the highway. Try getting that with your electric vehicle...it ain't possible. I drove till the out of gasoline light came on, filled-up with 93 ExxonMobil Supreme Gasoline. U-turned and drove 400 miles the same day. Returned home empty and filled-up again with ExxonMobil 93 octane Supreme Gasoline. And, haven't had anymore problems with my vehicle not starting. Went back to Leith Honda Autopark so the Master Mechanic can recheck everything and recalibrate the Control Unit. I'll get back to you if and when the battery dies; hopefully it will survive longer than a year. So, WARNING YELLOW HANDLE ETHANOL GASOLINE FROM SHEETZ BAD FOR my 2017 Honda HRV. The owners manual says so; but who actually reads their owners manual? Well, I do...Now. Not telling anyone not to use the YELLOW HANDLE ETHANOL GASOLINE FROM SHEETZ, because I don't want them coming after me... like the Beef Industries went after Oprah when she said something about beef. I'm just saying, the Yellow Handle Ethanol Gasoline from Sheetz IS NOT GOOD TO USE IN MY 2017 Honda HRV. I dont know what type of gasoline your vehicle owner's manual say to use... I went in to look at a new car and this was by far the weirdest (& potentially UNSAFE) car shopping experience I've ever had. Walked around for 15 minutes and no one offered to help. Once I went in and asked to be helped by someone, it was kind of pointless. My salesman did not really give me any information on the car and apparently for test drives the salesman has to drive you off the lot then they switch out drivers in the parking lot of an another business that's a ways down the street?? This is really bizarre and as a solo woman looking for a car I felt extremely uncomfortable with this "dealership policy". In the moment I just went with it, but looking back on it I will never do that again since at the end of the day they were a total stranger driving me to a location I was not familiar with. This is very unsafe! My salesman was also pushy on financing the car and purchasing even though we had just started the test drive and overall it was just a really uncomfortable experience. Even after I told him I did not like the car he kept pressing on "what price would it take for you to buy it" to which I replied "there is no price" because the experience was so unpleasant. The general manager also kept looking at my chest (I wasn't wearing anything "showy". Just a tshirt) and that was very uncomfortable. Zero star review Just a short update: They refused to fix my battery so I went to the Advance Auto Parts in Apex: just up the road off of 55 & 64, and I bought a very good battery, with a THREE YEAR WARRANTY for. 130.00. I'd suggest buying your batteries from there and NOT buy anymore crappy Honda parts. Problem is, you pay an arm and a leg because it's a Honda, however, they are not as trustworthy of a car as they used to be. They do not use as good of parts as they used to. So, why pay almost 23K for a Honda Civic with no special add ons or extras when I can pay 17K for something MUCH BETTER with add ons and tint, better wheels etc with a 100K lifetime warranty. If your cars are SO wonderful, why do you only offer a 30k or 3 year warranty? The "NAME" is no longer going to cut it. We bought our new car here in the Spring. Overall we had a great experience with our sales guy Justin. We knew what we wanted so it was just a matter of negotiating the price and figuring out when we could get the car in since they didn't have any in stock. I will say the actual closing process for the car was a pain and put a bad taste in my mouth. They tried to sell all the warranties so hard that it got a bit crazy. The way John was talking it was like our car was going to fall apart the second we left the lot and it would be all our fault for not getting the warranty. We stayed there for a solid hour hearing all about warranty options which we were not interested in. I understand why they sell the warranties, but it needs to be a shorter less pushy process. On to the service center, man they get a bad rap here! I was leery after reading all the reviews, but since the oil changes are free for life when you buy a new car I figured I'd give it a go. I made the appointment online and they had plenty of openings for within the week. Now, this isn't going to be a quick process like at your Valvoline's of the world. Even with an appointment expect to wait 1.5 hours. The place is constantly slammed and you have to basically get in their queue and wait. Overall I still thought it was worth it to save the money on the oil change. They have awesome internet so I just bring my laptop and sit and work. I'm back twice in one week for an airbag recall on our other car and am having a similar experience. As far as the employees at the service center it has been my experience that they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. They are insanely friendly and not pushy as far as what additional services you may need. They really push five stars on those surveys, but so far they deserve it. I've been getting my car serviced by them on an ongoing basis. They do a terrific job. I have a 2018 Honda CRV which has always gotten excellent service from Autopark Honda. Recently I had my car serviced and managed by Service Advisor Eldwin B. who did a terrific job. He met with us initially, and kept us informed of any concerns from their multipoint maintenance service inspection. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. I purchased a 2020 Honda Ridgeline from AutoPark Honda in Cary, NC in October 2020. As they delivered the truck to me to drive off the lot, I noticed a big dent in the hood, and the windshield had a crack in it. The vehicle was clearly damaged when they brought it in and their pre-sale inspection of vehicles is clearly non-existent. Fortunately, I noticed before I left the sight of the sales manage. They replaced the windshield but I was a bit nervous about replacing the hood (it had to be painted) . Since all the paperwork was done, and they didn't want the car back, they offered a 1,200 "We Owe You" for parts. I decided I'd rather live with the dent and took the "We Owe You" as kind of a discount for taking a damaged "new" car. This week (September 2022), I decided to use the "We Owe You" to buy a tonneau cover for my truck bet. AutoPark Honda would not honor it. They said it expired in 30 days. I looked at the "We Owe You", and sure enough, in teeny, tiny print it says expires in 30 days. Given the circumstances of this "We Owe You" I do not feel a 30 day expiration was appropriate and expressed this to the sales and parts manager (Jordan). I asked, if they would not honor the "We Owe You" would they at least sell me this expensive part at cost. They would not. I ended up buying the tonneau cover a full price. This is a warning to everyone. AutoPark Honda will act they will do anything for you when you are buying a car, but after the sale, watch out!! The clearly have no problem welching on their deals and do a really bad job prepping a car before a sale. How do you buy a new car, and as you get in to drive off the lot find a big dent in the hood and a broken windshield? I have bought Honda's from them for 25 years. Leased my 2019 CRV from them and the manager did an awesome job at getting me a really great deal in trading in my leased 2016 MAZDA CX5 6 months early. Additionally I had to bring my car in for some service due to a safety recall and the service department was fast, friendly, and had a really great waiting area complete with a super fancy coffee/espresso/latte machine, popcorn, and water bottles. I had Odyssey that died in middle of the road - no warning and had to towed to the dealership. Put me in danger. I called in, attempted to speak to Service Manager, Todd Stephens he wasn't reachable. Took an appointment from service desk - was given appointment with a gentleman named Joe. AAA towed the vehicle - i couldn't travel with vehicle since COVID-19 procedure is customer travels separately. Tow truck dropped the vehicle - the case was assigned to another person Mike McFadden. He said since it was without appointment the car will not be looked into any sense or urgency at all - he appeared disinterested in helping at all and blamed me for showing up without appointment - this was both wrong and rude. Mike's extreme rudeness turned into belligerence when I requested a loaner. He refused that I be allowed to wait to speak his supervisor and told his tech "he wanted to strangle this guy." While Todd Stephens thereafter showed up and knew me as I am a regular for service at that location made it up by re-assigning the advisor and covering for a part and service associated and approving a loaner immediately. This is not an experience one expects going into a professional service department that charges over $150 an hour on the labor. You expect courtesy, attitude of service, respect, and honesty about the parts and warranty. Without Todd's assistance, this would have been a one star review. I hope the department improves how to handle situations where car shows on tow truck and customer is already in distress. read more

I went to Auto Park Honda in Cary for a leak in my CRV's tire on December 1st. After the service dept checked it they stated no leak. Here again December 23rd for the same issue. This time they said there is something in the outer thread and the tire has to be replaced. How did they miss this on December 1st? Very perplexed. Good thing I didn't ignore the leak. (Tires will change pressure when it is cold I have been told. But not in one tire right?) read more

Dropped my 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback off for service and repair for a recall notice I received. Landon was my Service Advisor and gave me great service! Kept me updated via texts. I dropped my car off Tuesday for service on Wednesday, but they got everything done on Tuesday! The service they provide is terrific! Everyone is friendly, fast and efficient. Landon was great! If I could give NO STARS I would!!!! Put in a credit application on Sunday, spoke with the dealership first thing on Monday morning to ensure they had received my application. I was told they did and would start working on it. Three hours later I was contacted to be informed that my credit application was incomplete and I needed to provide some more information. While I was on that call, another call comes through from someone else at the dealership stating that the car was SOLD! The manager on duty told me that people in the showroom take precedence over any ONLINE SALES. Thank goodness I didn't start driving 3 hours to pick up my new car thinking the dealership would have my paperwork in order when I arrived. Basically, the manager didn't care about me, only the sale. read more

I bought a new 2016 Honda Odyssey. Right before 50,000 miles, I started to have issues with my drivers front wheel. I took it to my mechanic and they said it was a wheel barring. I took it to Honda, they said it was the tire. I took my car to Costco, and they replaced my tire for free. Nope, still a problem. Took it back to Honda and so they finally decided to replace my wheel barring. A few months later, I start hearing some noises again. I took it to my mechanic, they said it was the axel. They said since Honda was the last to work on the car, they may have damaged my axel boot when replacing my wheel barring. Honda said, no it was not their fault, even thought the axel boot was damaged after their work. They told me that it was dry rot?? I spent my money $500 to replace the axel boot and the mechanic gave it to me and showed me where it looked like it had been hit by a sledge hammer, probably to remove the axel to fix the wheel barring. Honda should have fix the part on my car that they damaged for free, instead they blame other mechanics, and dry rot. Dry rot implies they are using bad components that fall apart after 5 years. WHAT??? Bad customer service, bad to incompetent labor department, and bad customer retention. I have spent too much time, money and aggravation trying to fix the problem they caused to my car. I will never buy another car from this dealership and I would warn caution to anyone that does. read more
