Had a wonderful experience at Echopark. Not only was the process very smooth and fast, but our salesman Terry was incredible. Everyone we spoke with was great as well but Terry was thoughtful, honest, thorough and willing to work with us, everything you would want in a car buying experience you name it. Left with a new car and couldn't be happier! Would highly recommend Echo Park to anyone.

The new way to purchase your vehicle is here at EcoPark Automotive Raleigh. I responded to a vehicle ad the price was phenomenal, better than anything I could find in my state. Drove 137 miles to check out the vehicle. The facility looks like the inside of an Apple Store. It's a bit of a process because they move such a large amount of vehicles. You respond to the vehicle and they set you up with an appointment to see it (I just showed up). They set me up with my guy to check out the vehicle and I knew it was it. So here comes the dance (no dance). They up you on a warranty and a few other add ons (it is what it is). Took a few hours from start to finish. My guy even drove me to drop off my rent a car. It feels very weird at first because it's not like the old dealerships of yesterday. Then about thirty days to get my tag and registration. From start to finish the customer service was phenomenal in every department that I dealt with. I would highly recommend purchasing your next vehicle from EcoPark Automotive, "It's the New Way to Buy".

This is the deal recap, where they added all the optional crap without mentioning it anywhere on the sheet. #fraud

Do NOT go to this store for anything. They will lie to you, ignore your requests, and try to scam you out of more money than they "negotiated" with you. My parents went here to look at a car, against my advice, and the sales person (Darryl) and his manager (Brittany) lied to them repeatedly and tried to scam them out of $4000. I was on the phone with my parents as they were finalizing numbers and we specifically and repeatedly declined all optional stuff. We figured they wouldn't try to scam us, but sure enough, when we got the "deal recap" papers there is almost $4000 that is not accounted for in their math. Upon further investigation, we saw that the cash price they are quoting includes all the optional crap that we declined. To make things worse there is no mention of them adding it to the final price in the deal recap papers. This is not the regular "car salesmen pushing warranties" and now borderlines on fraud and scam. After writing this review I'll be submitting a report with the AG's office. It's one thing to be pushed to purchase extra service and warranties, but it's another thing to add them to the price without consent and then try to hide it. If you like to be lied to and enjoy paying for things that you specifically declined, this is the place to go to. If you don't want to deal with liars and fraudsters, then STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

We weren't ready to do anything yet, but this company was very persistent, calling regularly. So when we actually bought our new vehicle we reached out and made an appointment. The value had changed but was in-line with Carvana and Carmax so that was fine. We got there and I mentioned to the appraiser that we had installed a back up camera that wouldn't show up on the VIN search. He told me that wouldn't change the evaluation. Then he told me the vehicle had been in an accident - which it had - for a whopping $800 in repairs, there was a small dent in the front quarter panel that got fixed. While a professional might be able to tell - a lay person wouldn't and would probably find more value in the back up camera. And he also says there is a $299 doc fee for the vehicle. So he goes out and does his inspection, taking about 15 minutes and being very thorough. What we have to remember is that when they are doing those "inspections" they are negotiating. The longer it takes, and the more things they write down and touch on the vehicle, the more they are trying to drive the value in your mind down. We come back in and he says. "Ok. That vehicle has been in an accident. That's called 'diminished value'. What I can give you is {$2500 less than what we told you}". I just said no and gestured for my wife to leave. He then said "Well what would you want for the car?" I said I knew what he was doing - he was attempting to anchor us to the new lower number and negotiate off of that. He protested that he wasn't. He also insisted that every dealership had a doc fee - which is mostly true when you buy but I've never heard of that when selling. At this point we weren't messing around with that guy any further. Went home, called Cary Autopark Jeep (where we bought it). Had a 5 minute call with the GM. He gave me an estimate dependent on my representation being accurate. I took it the next day, he looked at it for 2 minutes and confirmed the offer. Which was $700 more than this place initially offered and about $3000 more than they finally offered. And no doc fee. Did the paperwork and in and out in about 20 minutes. With other (easier) options out there, I don't know why anyone would fool around with this guy.

We spotted a 2004 Subaru Forester at West Raleigh Auto, called and drove down the same afternoon. Really liked the car, the lot owner, Patrick, was extremely friendly and professional. We planned to come back the next day to get dad's opinion and most likely buy the car. Came back following morning, test drove a second time, made an offer on car (considering how much daughter had saved for a car), Patrick happily accepted and she bought the car. We noticed a few issues with car - rear view mirror was very discolored (with age), passenger window motor broken, car needed new wiper blades and car was not clean (it had literally only been on lot 1 day when we bought it). Patrick gave us an IOU for complete detail, replace all wiper blades, new window motor and new rear view mirror. No questions asked. We took the car home and I drove it back down to Patrick following Wednesday for the detail and repairs to be made - it took the mobile detail guy a few hours to clean, Patrick lent me a car from his lot and I just drove down to Crabtree Mall and killed the time. Very generous to lend me a car! ONLY issue we have is the following week, our daughter was running a few quick errands, locally here in WF. After her third stop in about 1/2 hour, she came out of Dollar Tree and the car would NOT start. She freaked out, called us panicking and said she turned key over and it wouldn't start. Tried four tries until it started for her. OMG. Car was only two weeks old to us and wouldn't start! What?! I texted Patrick immediately, he said bring it in on Monday, I'll have my mechanic look at it. Monday, I drove car down to Patrick, he loaned me a car again and his mechanic tried over and over to replicate stalling. He could not get it to stall... Long story short - we've owned car since first week of October. The car has stalled on me once (again after running a few quick in and out errands) and stalled on daughter on December 16. Very frustrating. Car will catch after a few tries but it undermines your confidence in the car. Oh, and there seems to be an issue with the passenger window again - we had window down, car stalled, window wouldn't go back up. After a few tries, we got car started again and window back up but daughter refuses to let anyone put passenger window down now. Saddens us that she saved up hard-earned money and there are still issues with the car but what can you do? Update 1/8/18: rear view mirror that Patrick installed completely broken and fogged over. Car stalled again twice today before finally starting. Final thoughts: Would I buy from Patrick again? Maybe. Would I get the car checked out independently before I bought it? Definitely. Is he a stand-up guy? Yes, he did try to replicate issue and just couldn't get it to happen. He stood by his word on all fixes and the complete detail (guy did a bang up job cleaning her car). Hope this review helps future used car buyers!
