This place is so new and techie. I may be too old for such a new idea. Apparently, there are hundreds of cameras all over the store, which KNOW what you took off the shelves. (Creepy?) My husband and I were excited and curious to try out this store and location. He opened his Amazon app and set up a QR code. We were able to activate our shopping experience by scanning in the code. We chose the contactless option and were told we would receive our bill electronically within a few hours. The store was clean, organized and well staffed. There were employees available to answer questions or assist as needed. We were able to find the items we needed without problems and the prices were comparable to other grocery stores. We were particularly pleased that the store has a customer service/return area dedicated to Amazon purchases. We usually use Kohl's but this store is much closer and more convenient. read more

Got an offer for prime day so I decided to check it out. It wasn't for me and here's why. The employees working at the entrance were friendly and trying to help people get scanned in. I wish they offered the option to not scan in so that I could've went to a cashier. But I think they are trained to get people to scan and go. I can see the convenience of scanning when you go in and not having to wait in line to check out. I think this is for people who come prepared with a list and know exactly what they are going to buy. I on the other hand don't come with an exact list and I like to browse. I like to pick things up to look at the back of the label and change my mind when I find something else in the store. This is a problem because the shelves keep track when something is removed and then it charges it to your cart. So when I grabbed a small bottle of Siracha from the hot sauce aisle but then found the larger bottle in the international food aisle and switched it out. It apparently is an issue. I found this out because when I put a load of bread in my cart but changed my mind because it's 50 cents cheaper at Target. When I asked an employee named Michael, he said that I had to put the item back exactly where I grabbed it from and I can't remember. So for the bread he had to scan it on his device and look up the exact shelf location to put it back on so that I wouldn't get charged for it. I said can you help me put back the Siracha too. He said I can look it up but you need to put it back since you took it. I thought ok not a problem, I just don't want to be charged because I didn't put it back in its exact location I took it from. He said when we pull an item off the shelf and put it in our cart it charges our cart unless the shelf registers the item back where it was. Anyways this is all getting too complicated for me at this point. So even though there are Amazon deals, most of the items are over priced especially the produce. Anything that was on sale was all gone. I had a spend $40 get $20 off coupon and I had a hard time finding items just because I didn't want to over pay for a loaf of bread or produce. I think the produce is more expensive because I noticed that most if not all says organic. I grew up I guess what you would consider poor so there was no such thing as organic. I usually pay 33 cents to 50 cents for cilantro at the ethic markets and it's usually $1 at Stater bros but I want to say it was close to $2 here. I can list all the items and what I normally pay else where and what they charge here but you get the point. It's a big difference to me where that difference in all those items add up. I like to save my money. I do spend money on convenience like paying for prime membership to get access to prime delivery and paying for food delivery service. I just don't want to spend extra money for the food/items on top of paying for that convenience. Since I had the coupon, I had ask a cashier how I use it since you just scan and go. She said you scan your code so I did and she put her hand to try to block it but it was too late the gate opened. She meant scan the code on the coupon first and then the gate. So I redid it but I don't know if I got the discount. I also don't know if I got the discount because I don't know if I reached the $40. I tried my best to estimate and make sure I spend a little over but I don't know the exact amount since you can't see it anywhere. If they can't put it on the app for you to see. They should atleast put it on the gate so you can see your total before you just walk out. What if I almost made the $40? If I could see that, I could go back and grab something else to save $20. They told me they would email me a receipt eventually and I got something saying they are working on my receipt. It's been a day and I still haven't received my receipt. I still don't know how much I spent and if I got the coupon. Also, Michael who helped me with putting my items back said that if the items show up then I need to come back and fight them on the issue. This shopping experience was way too much hassle for me. I can see this place working for my sister though. When she goes into a store she's in and out. She's very tech savvy. She's been driving a Tesla since it basically first came out. So I can picture her coming here, charging her car while she does her shopping. I'm not caught up to Amazon's scan and go version yet where you scan to enter and scan to leave and can't see anything. I've had to make a few Amazon returns here and every single time it has been super smooth and easy. The staff here is great, super nice and helpful. I had the most pleasant experience with Tamisia in particular who is an angel from the heavens above. She was so fun to talk to and even rubber banded my egg carton so that my eggs wouldn't break. I've been grocery shopping for many years now and this was my first time seeing this life hack. On top of all that awesomeness, the store also always has great coupons and deals going on. Amazon Fresh had a rough start. They were unorganized Miss com booed. None of the employees knew what the heck they were doing. It was almost like they were hired without any training but then little by little little by little they got better and better and better. My only suggestion is next time don't open a major chain of stores before you're actually ready to do business but thank you for finally getting your act together. We appreciate that. read more

It was a positive experience for me. I love tech, contactless shopping, online ordering, etc. I intentionally made a return for an online order which was easy to get an immediate digital refund. Since I was already there I figure I'd check out the groceries and pet section. Their dog food is very very limited but I was able to find my pets a non by-product snack. Staff was friendly from the time I stopped in. Very helpful! clean store. I scanned my QR code to enter, picked what I wanted to buy, and scanned out to exit. My items appeared on my Amazon app Order history. Seems like a good experience for introverts. When I saw that another Yelp friend had gone and reviewed this place, we had to try it out for a fun Saturday. It is about 20mins from our house so it was a bit of a commitment! Overall it was a great experience. Beginning with scanning for entry and exiting. I seriously love technology and using it to make shopping that much easier! I haven't been to a real grocery store since 2020 so I loved this "touch less" approach. Keep an eye out for the prices... some stuff is ridiculously overpriced..and some things are spot on or even under priced. We were on the hunt for low priced items, that fit our "game" of only eating a single color today! (I was red, my oldest was orange and my youngest was yellow) Amazon Fresh made it easy! Overall, we would come back if we were in the area but probably wouldn't make the special trip. Over priced high end convinces store. The store is to small over all. Just can't picture a Saturday or Sunday. Maybe at open or right before close you could run in for convenience. The store was really clean and I was greeted by happy employees who quickly explain the process about this unique type of grocery store. I was able to get some really really good deals on a few items that I was already looking for they had 8 ounce top sirloin steaks marked down to $1.97. The checkout process was quite simple, I opted for the traditional self check out method. I simply scan my items like you would at most grocery stores nowadays without having any lines. It was quick and straightforward. One of my better shopping experiences. After reading the reviews here I was expecting something totally different, but I might start doing most of my grocery shopping here now. read more

Staff is nice and store is always impeccably clean. I like to come here and shop for items that other local stores such as Trader Joe's or Organic Roots don't carry. My only complaints are the higher prices on some items and produce not being as fresh as expected. Also, perfect for last minute trips. The other day I was baking and ran out of powdered sugar... I had to go here to drop off an Amazon return. They keep all the carts outside locked up. So you're forced to go inside to grab a cart. Then have to return to your vehicle with said cart to load it up with returns. Then have to go back inside to make the returns. That is a huge waste of time! It makes it 2x more difficult when you have to drag along kids. I asked why the carts were locked and he said well because he has some inside. Don't keep them right by the front door if you don't want people trying to use them. Keep them locked up in the back like every other store ‍ also their selection of food is pretty disappointing for a grocery store. read more

#1 Be careful when you buy your meat from here as they use some kind of packaging that has some kind of gel inside of it. When I tried to cut my steak in half and cut open the packaging below it, it was a mixture of blood and gel. # 2 If you are picking up an order from here their lockers have been out of service for weeks now. You have to wait in line for customer service as they blindly search for your order and then they don't mark it as picked up. So then you get endless text reminders to pick up your stuff. I current have 4 reminders for stuff I picked up over a week ago. #3 You can't call the store directly, you're calling an 800 Amazon number and have to go through an automated process to verify yourself before you can even reach a live person. I still haven't reached a live person. As far as the products, not much selection just a little bit of everything. And I didn't notice any generic labels so everything is much more expensive than any of the other stores I shop at. Thank you. read more

I visited Amazon Fresh today to get all my groceries for the week. As I shopped I used the cart to scan the item and bagged it as I went along. When I finished we go to the section in the front of the store to complete checkout the app then charges my card on my account. The cart wouldn't complete the transaction. The em the employee at the door told us to go over to the register and the employee at the register would scan the QR code and then all we would have to do is pay for it using the app.. however the employee at the register said we had to take everything out of the cart and she had to re-ring everything up at first I was very frustrated but I decided I would go ahead and do it so my daughter and I took everything out and put it up on the belt for her to re-ring everything up and then we pack everything when we go to use the card on my account to pay for the groceries. The app wouldn't allow us to complete the transaction.. a gentleman then comes over to the cashier who I'm assuming was a manager not sure however he was rude and he told us that we had to have the actual card that is used on my Amazon account for anything over $200 which I find is very interesting cause I can spend over $200 on my Amazon account all the time and not have an actual card and he told us we had to take everything out of the bags. Put them on the belt and have everything re-rung again so basically loading and unloading my cart three times and it was very very frustrating and all the gentleman had to say was that's what you're gonna have to do. He wasn't nice at all. At this point I just left. I will never go to Amazon Fresh again. read more

I've grown to really like Amazon Fresh. The shopping concept can be confusing and intimidating but it's not bad at all. You can get in and out fairly quickly if you have the card with you that's linked to your Amazon account. Prices are okay--not too high but also not very many deals. Currently, it seems to be the only physical grocery store in the area that is less crowded, likely because they have delivery and drive up options. I've done my grocery shopping with delivery from my Amazon account and it's been a time saver as a mom. read more

First of all the parking lot is clean and free of clutter, they don't let their carts just sit out in the parking lot for hours. So great first impression. As soon as we arrived the Gentleman at the front could probably tell we were first timers and helped us out, showed us what to do and how things work. Super easy process, explained it quickly and professionally. As we shopped everything was well stocked, fresh and the entire store was easy to navigate. They had a great line of produce, awesome meat selections, great bakery, cool pizza joint and even had coffee/latte stand. Shopping bags were placed all over the store to use, checking out was a Breeze and the kind employee who originally helped us checked on us on our way out to see how our experience was. Definitely someone with an unlimited budget, only buys brand names, doesn't comparison shop, etc. We are a 1 income family of 5 and while we aren't "poor", this store is not family or budget friendly. A small bottle of cholula was $7.26??! I don't get it. Cereal was a little under $5 /box. A box of Jell-O was $2.29! Between aldis, winco and Sam's club we spend $450-$500 every 2 weeks (meal prep, kids being home for the summer). At first, we thought it would be "affordable" and liked the idea of not having to deal with check out lines. But you end up bagging your own groceries and don't have the discounted prices like aldis and winco. I just don't get it. Bad timing to open during a recession and horrible inflation. Crazyyyy expensive ? I know inflation is high but come on amazon... you'd think with less "overhead" the cost of goods would be competitively reasonable. I made it through produce and then down a couple isles. I checked things like my milk which I KNOW runs me 3.99 (califa almond) and it was a whole 1.80 more almost. Eeeek. I'm not cheap but I couldn't do it. My typical raw produce at sprouts is almost a whole $1.20 -1.50 cheaper for organic veggies. I just couldn't do it. The technology was neat though. As a customer buying at least 5 itwms a week from Amazon. I went to fresh yesterday for the 1st time. Produce is sold by item not by the lb. A apricot cost .69 foe 1 apricot. The ad for prime days said buy one basket of strawberries and get one. Not the case today. All the bogodeals were gone. Items that were supposed to be great deals were gone. The "Just Walk Out" technology, while an incredibly innovative achievement in computer vision, is not perfect. The first time I visited, I was charged for the wrong item, and was not charged for a hot bar item. Second time was good and was charged correctly, albeit my cart only had a few items. Third time, I was charged for a tomato that I picked up and put back. Thankfully the refund process online through Amazon was rather smooth. There were other items, though, that I picked up and put back that were correctly not charged for, so the technology does work decently at identifying which items you did and did not pick up. If you use the Just Walk Out service, you won't know how much your total is until well after you leave the store. It currently takes a few hours for Amazon to email you a receipt. There are no "dash carts" at this store, unlike some other Amazon Fresh locations, which would have totaled your items as you placed them in your cart. Probably among the best selection of items at the hot food bar, salad bar, and other ready to eat meals than most local grocery stores. For the hot bar and salad bar, you are charged by the size of the container, not weight, due to the current nature of the just walk out technology. read more

There is an older black employee that sits at the self checkout that was giving dirty stares and getting angry and rude when I asked for help.
