The Good: The employees are super friendly and the store is clean. Every single employee I have encountered was lovely. The Neutral: All Albertsons are expensive and overpriced. They charge higher for products you can get far cheaper elsewhere. Take for instance Campbells Chunky Soup. $5, sometimes $6 a can? Delusional. Practically any other store would charge lower. Their cereal prices are also absurdly bad. Also they finally stopped printing an extra 1/4 sized receipt after the main receipt is done printing at self check out. It was a small thing but it was super annoying and a waste, thanks for stopping that. I didn't put this in the good or bad section because I know it has nothing to do with this specific location, and is a corporate issue. The Bad: This location has only one usable exit. The two entrances are one-way. You forgot a cart? Too bad, the alarm starts screaming. I'd be less annoyed with this if the only usable exit didn't have solicitors harassing me about their stupid political petition. They have been there almost every time I've gone for the past few months. That alone makes me not want to come back here. Shoppers should be able to perform their errands without having persistent jerks parked outside all day ready to spring on you with their political agenda. Yes I can ignore them, and I do, but the fact that Alberstsons allows them to be there makes it feel like they truly don't care about your shopping experience, and that they endorse their political agenda. I don't know what political side it is and I don't care, I shouldn't have to deal with that, and neither should you. On top of that, the one usable exit is behind all the cash registers, which means its extra congested and awkward. There's hardly any room to exit if you have a cart. No planning for traffic whatsoever. read more

Customer service here is so hit or miss recently, you try to ask for help and you have employees turning around to walk the other way. In the half hour we were in the store walking around, we were greeted by one employee. No one is at the service desk until 10 AM, nobody in your floral department to help because she walked off chatting with a friend when we walked up and no acknowledgement. Prices are insane, a case of high noon was priced regularly at $32.99 and I bought two paltry bouquets of flowers for $30. You have so much to choose from but their preassembled mixed bouquets always look like they are on their last leg. Came home to unwrap them and the flowers started breaking off the stems. Wow, a real life size SUPER-Market. This store is huge. Take the two largest grocers in Menifee, where ever you shop and combine them. That's how large this store is. There are 18, one hundred foot plus long aisles. Given the store size, it will have whatever it is you're looking for. Granted this is Albertsons/Safeway, so there are a large number of proprietary "house brands" too. I know that Menifee has been growing by leaps and bounds, but why hasn't any other grocer expanded their retailer footprint? read more

I've never been to an Albertsons like this. Why are there alarm gates at the entrance? I forget to grab a cart I have to go all the way around are you kidding me? I waited for someone to walk in so the gates would open and I could walk out. The alarms went off and I grabbed a cart to walk back in. I should've just went to target instead. I brought an insulated bag, you know to keep things cold? Tell me why the person bagging the items put NONE of the refrigerated items in the cooler bag. It was 96 out btw. Not sure if they're tripping or dissociating, either way the service sucked. I usually go to Clinton Keith Albertsons but that one has its flaws too! Went to pick up a birthday cake for my sister today. The worker at the bakery named Jasmine was terribly rude. She seemed to be very angry that she had to help me as I was probably one of her last customers around 8pm. Her tone of voice and asking "what do you want" was very rude and out of line. She didn't ask if I wanted anything written on it, boxed it very angrily, and didn't say thank you or have a nice night, nothing. If you don't want to work or if you're having a bad day, don't take it out on people! Simple. read more

One reason why I love Yelp is the fact that it's true and genuine reviews. But, on Google there appears to be a lot of fake ones. Every time I shop at this Albertsons I see managers standing around but then ordering their coworkers around. It's extremely unpleasant especially when they start bagging my groceries after demeaning their associates. I never seen this at other Albertsons. There helper clerks pushing in carts looks like they are on the verge of walking off the job. There is always lines, even though managers are available standing around on their phone or talking to each other. What are they doing at the front window desk? And not in the check stand? It doesn't make any sense, so here's a 1-star for the braindead leadership. Albertsons always has decent food, and USED to have good customer service. We were throwing a gender reveal party for my daughter and son in law. This is their first baby. Ordered 24 cupcakes from Albertsons bakery, letting them know it was for a gender reveal so we would like 12 blue & 12 pink frosted cupcakes. This is what we received. The colors were so dark blue and dark pink they looked horrible. The pink almost looked red giving a patriotic vibe instead of a gender reveal feeling. We had to scrape off all the frosting, mix with white frosting and re frost every cupcake. Completely defeating the point in ordering them. On top of the color being completely awful the woman in the bakery was extremely rude giving the feeling that she did not want our business and could careless how we wanted our order. Cuz apparently you're closed and it says that you're still open for 45 more minutes. It's a quick simple fix. Save people from driving all the way over there. This place always has missing items that I need, and lots of expired dairy. I've purchased milk, yogurt, and other items several times only to find they are rancid by the time I get home. This is the only store that has a few items I like, so I keep coming back just to be stabbed in the back time and time again. Today I'm here to buy eggs but they all expire tomorrow. Thought I'd get some yogurt, but it all expires tomorrow. Usually dairy isn't even good up till expiration date, so I'm not thinking anyone is getting good food from here. read more

It's an Albertsons. Big, clean, well stocked store. Staff is always friendly a helpful. Prices are outrageous, expect when things are on sale. Like I said, it's an Albertsons. Take the good with the bad. I frequent this location out of convenience. Personally prefer Stater Bros price and selection, however, it's not always as convenient, and that's no knock on this store. I have a 83 year old grandmother who has breast cancer that I get together every 1 to 2 months and we do her grocery shopping at this location by passing Stater Bros, Aldi, Target supercenter and ralphs driving an extra 10 mins because she enjoying going to this store based off of the high quality service she has also gotten there. Please keep in mind that she's 83 years old and an african american woman who is old school. She only writes checks, so we know that the store limit on a check is low but because we have been going here for years we know that the managers Paul (he's no longer at that store) and Tammy have to override the limit to allow her to pay with a check. She was comfortable going into this location, she knows the store like the back of her hand and loves the interactions she always receives with the employees until yesterday 9/28/2021. As usual when we arrive I walk inside the store to the right and grab an electric cart for her to ride in, bring it out to her, get her in the cart and she's ready to ride all down the isles collecting her items. Today was nothing normal, until we encountered the new store manager Paul Rodrigez at the liquor cabinet. Paul was kind at the time. My grandma thought it was the old manager Paul and called him by his name. He explained to her that he was the new paul but the old one is his good friend and they continued to have a conversation. After picking out the liquor 2 half gallons of Patron, 2 half gallons of hennessy and the biggest bottle of Grey Goose vodka this store carries he lets her know that he will take it up to the front ( which is store policy and we're aware). She reached out to shake his hand and he just looked at her. I let her know we do live in a COVID world and some people do not feel comfortable. We then went over to the line to pay for all the items. I noticed that the cashier who was very nice got a phone call and she said " it's the grandma and granddaughter " to whoever she was talking to on the other end of the phone. The cashier then gives the total and I let her know that we are the ones who have the liquor put to the side. She states that she was instructed to do two different transactions. I explained to her that she's writing a check and she will need to contact a manager so they can override the system. The manager Paul comes over and states " we will not allow the transaction. I walked around and asked the whole store if they knew you guys and everyone said no". We instantly felt embarrassed and humiliated because of his actions and words. He judged us, he profiled us and that's beyond wrong. Albertsons states online that they do not discriminate but that's exactly what Paul did. If he didnt know how to override it she should have reached out to Tammy, the other store manager. I asked to speak with her and she was not in. I then explained that no one upfront is an old team member, everyone that was on the front line were new hires. If you pull the records there were 2 people there as cashiers who were older. One of them was the one that was ringing us up and the other all the way at the end. So how would anyone know us if your whole team is new including him? How would we know the old manager Paul who has always helped us? and Paul rodrigez walked off leaving the cashier there to handle it. I paid for the bill with my card and to be honest I should have left every single thing right there on the check out because of how embarrassing that was. We go into this store every 1-2 months and spend a minimum of $700.00 sometimes $1,800 and every single time she writes a check. (I can provide all banking information if you like!) Why is it that last month when my BLACK GRANDMOTHER was in the store with my WHITE MOTHER she was able to write a check for $1,100 and had not one problem ?!?!?!!!!! Someone needs to explain to this new manager it's not what you say it's how you say it and the cashier with red curly hair needs a raise for doing the managers job and handling the situation the best she could Because of this experience we will no longer support Albertsons. This was beyond disrespectful. Yes, we live in 2021 but there's still elderly people out there who do not use cards, who writes checks and we as people (PAUL) need's to work on being more understanding. I can count on one hand how many times in the 12 years we have lived here that I have been into the Albertsons on Scott Rd. #1 It's pretty pricy and #2 the checkers are very unfriendly. That being said, I went there today because I didn't want to drive anywhere else and out of the 5 items I needed the store no longer carried one of my items and was completely out of the other. I grabbed the other 3 items and headed to the check-stand. Summer was the checker and she did not disappoint! No eye contact or even a greeting. I handed my bag to the older lady who was about to bag my groceries. She stated a conversation with the checker about how the manager was probably going to make her fill out a workers comp claim for her elbow. She said it could be from the work she does with her side business. She was finished bagging and said thank you and walked away. Summer finished ringing up my items but never gave me my total. I'm old school! Yes I can see it myself but no common courtesy. I have her my money, she gave me my change and receipt and surprisingly she said thank you! I was out the door! We did our Christmas Eve dinner shopping tonight at Albertsons on Scott Road. We purchased a nice beef ribeye roast from the butcher- he was very helpful and friendly and even offered tips on cooking the roast - ( I failed to get his name) As we were checking out there was an elderly lady who did not have an Albertsons rewards card and she also had a little trouble with the new technology of her chip credit card - our cashier Mitchell was extremely patient and helpful and even added our phone number in (we offered)for her to save about $30 off of her groceries. Albertsons was fully stocked and we were very pleased with their selections of items we needed, the employees we interacted with were very kind and helpful and we are thankful to have the store so close to our home. I've always gone to this Albertsons because I live right there, it's very convenient, the lines are always low, and the staff is super helpful and friendly! I am always greeted, asked how I'm doing by familiar staff, and when I had a broken foot was helped with the scooter and loading of my groceries. I've had a few instances when bought expensive Free Range Chicken or milk and it was bad by the time I opened it that same day or the next, but I've never complained. I'm writing this review because Tamara in bakery went above and beyond! I ordered a cake for my sister's baby shower and gave a few ideas, but let her pretty much have free range. The cake was ready on time, looked fabulous, and was within my budget! It was the center of the party and no one could believe I got it from a supermarket bakery; not to mention it was DELICIOUS! I went to Albertsons bakery for a cake for my granddaughters 1st birthday. I wanted a Minnie Mouse cake. I took a picture into the store and showed it to Annette and was told that they would be able to make something similar for me. We discussed all of the details and Annette was confident that it could be done. When I went to pick up the cake, I was almost in tears over how BEAUTIFUL it turned out! Tamara made the cake and she did an amazing job! I received sooooo many compliments on the cake, and to top it off, it tasted good as well!! Prior to going to Albertsons, I called a lot of other bakeries. I was quoted double the amount that I paid at Albertsons. From here on out, Albertsons (Menifee) is my go-to place for cakes! If you care about service don't shop here. I wonder if this location represents the customer service culture Albertson's hopes to achieve. I recently moved to this area, I've made about 6 visits to this location and when paying not once has a cashier greeted me or thank me for visiting. The only time they say anything is to give me my total and say "here you go" when handing me my receipt. I know they're not anti social or introverts because on half of those occasions the cashier talked to the employee bagging the groceries nonstop. The convo about personal nonsense and at times inappropriate for a place of business. The women at the bakery are fabulous and I am not exaggerating. I ordered a two tier vanilla cake with strawberries, white whip frosting with fresh fruit. The cake had pink and purple flowers decorated all around it and it was so beautifully done that we almost did not eat it! It was picture perfect. Rochelle helped me with picking my cake and designs. Super disappointed in the bakery. I placed a special order for cupcakes for soccer team and specifically asked for them to decorated. They gave me plain red white and blue cupcakes. No decorations. There is even one cupcake that has different frosting. How unprofessional. Looks terrible. I'm stuck with them and time to get something more festive for team. Very embarrassing. I have started grocery shopping at this grocery store about a month ago. It's always very clean and mellow. Which I like. I did want to mention though that the first time I shopped here the check out cashier was very rude. She pretty much ignored every time I told her I had waters below my cart. I was struggling with my cart, she nor the bathe offered me assistance to my car. Didn't even wish me a good day. I do want to also make known the last time I was there. Last Wednesday, about 4 days ago. I bought a bunch of yogurts. I realized today half of them are expired. I had one this morning which has now made me sick. I will be talking to the manager. CASHIERS HERE ARE RUDE. When I say "rude" I mean they pick and chose which customers they want to be polite to. My sister and I were picking up cakes and cupcakes for our mom's birthday and had a slight throwback to 1960s Mississippi when it came to customer service. The gentleman in front of me checked out and got a "have a fantastic day, sir" and as soon as it was my turn to check out, the cashier suddenly forgot how to say hello or even respond to me asking how his day was. All I got was an eye roll and my cupcakes thrown to the bagger who looked so apologetic and mortified. Not to mention my sister checking out in the other lane and being 100% ignored by the cashier on his "phone call" the entire time he was ringing her up but somehow hung up to happily greet and strike up a conversation with the woman behind my sister as soon as the bagger gave her a sad apology. TO ALBERTSONS: Give the nice young men bagging groceries the cashier jobs because obviously they have manners and are the kind of people that know how to interact with people. read more

Mask rules are NOT enforced at this location. The employees do not care whatsoever. Today, there were at least four people without any masks on, and the employees did not say anything, and in fact one employee hugged one of the people who was not wearing a mask. I know that I will pay a little more here but it is the closest grocery store to me. I have had the opposite experience to the other negative reviews here. Last night I specifically went to buy the 8pc chicken dinner at the deli counter. Business was slow so the young man and woman (should have got names) closed at 7pm instead of 7:30pm. I told him the reason I was there was the Monday deal. I started to walk away disappointed when he offered to restart the cooker just for me. So, he saved the day and is always helpful when I go. Their are two other great cashiers working that need recognition. Tye and Sommer. They are both super positive and a helpful every time I'm shopping. read more

I appreciate how your store has social distancing encouraged here and cleaning of the carts by staff. However, a big concern at this store is seeing employees wearing gloves, but not changing them as they handle each customers items, others surfaces, etc. Potential cross contamination happening here during checkout (as far as I saw). Encourage hand cleaning (SANITIZER/soap water) between tasks. Please, if disposable gloves are being handed out to the staff instruct them to change gloves between tasks/customers. We've shopped here more often now because of the smaller crowds, and want to continue to do so. Thank you! read more

Every time I checkout the cashiers are so friendly! I usually bag my groceries myself if there isn't a bagger but I am use to this as I had to do it in Europe. I do recommend always having at least 1 express lane open and 1 regular lane as lines can get long sometime. Honestly, should just get ride of express and have a self checkout line like most stores. Store seems a little older and could use a little updating but over all always have a pretty good experience here. read more
