Love coming to this Walgreens location on Cal Oaks & Jackson, across the Sports Park. The best thing here is their clearance items!! When they're trying to get rid of their seasonal items (not in season anymore), be sure to check them out. I found rainbow themed goodies: a tutu, 40 oz water flask, sunglasses, bead necklace, and a headband... all of it for $4.50!! I also like going to the toy aisle to check out what toy deals they have. During Christmas time, they have the 3 for $13.49 deal or something like that, which makes for great presents for kids (or kids at heart, hey don't judge, I still like getting kids toys for Christmas lol)!! Another great thing here is the selection of cool seasonal items. Halloween, Valentines Day, St Patty's Day, 4th of July, Christmas, etc... they have good candy and other miscellaneous knick knacks to celebrate the occasion!! read more

I think that that Pharmacy would fall apart without the Pharmacy Manager, Tristian V.!! He is AMAZING and ALWAYS goes FAR and BEYOND what he needs to do to help us with our prescriptions. It took me 5 calls in a period of 3 days, talking to 5 different Pharmacy employees to try to get my normal prescription refilled when Tristan V. was on vacation, without any sucess. However, when he got back and I was able to speak directly to Tristian, for no more than 2 minutes, he had my refill being filled within 5 minutes!! I just want to thank you for having Tristan as your Pharmacy Manager!! He's a blessing, he's wonderful, and a very extremely intelligent Pharmacist!! I felt obligated to write this review, as I know it's far harder to get people to write positive reviews, where as it's quite easy to write a negative one. And the lady with the accent who works at the pharmacy here is so lovely. She went above and beyond for my daughter and i when our prescription for her vitamin D wasn't populating or something, and dug up a comparable OTC product. It seems like many of the people that work there are very sweet and carry themselves with professionalism in the face of some very grumpy and easily disgruntled customers who are quick to feel they are being treated "like a piece of shit". Props to the hiring manager for putting together some good people like this! read more

If I could give a zero that would be the amount of starts they deserve. There is 6 people working walking around doing nothing with confused look on their face while i am waiting in the drive thru. I go in since they tell me after 30 min and the result is that my med is expired because they didn't see it last week and said the same thing. Every time I go there is an issue with them they all are walking around like they are high or something. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I swear go to a place that is like 30 min away but not this one because they don't know how to be nice they always mess up my medicine and or don't give it to me and say they are out and when I go back for it they are like well now your doctor notes are expired. I don't know if they can do that but j believe they are taking medicines for themselves cause there is no other explanation. This is honestly the worst pharmacy I ever been too. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! I don't thing there any slight change for them to be able to improve just close the pharmacy already. So messed up! read more

The pharmacy is in disarray. They gave me misinformation. I went there 4 times and gave me 4 different answers. They sent me to a travel pharmacy that gave vaccines for travel. They didn't have a specific medication that I needed the most for my trip to Costa Rica because Costa Rica had a break out of Malaria and I needed that medication so I wouldn't catch Malaria. Then on the fifth day Walgreens had my full prescription only 3 days before my trip. That was cutting it too close for me. read more

TERRIBLE. When I called to ask about a prescription status the employee Kathy was criticizing and blaming me from the second she started talking. Seriously, Walgreens must be a horrible place to work because everyone there is on edge and can't handle the slightest assertiveness from customers. I asked her three times what the address was of her store because apparently I called the wrong store, but she wouldn't say it! She kept saying just an abbreviated street name that I didn't recognize. She acted offended that I was asking for the address. It was just to put in my phone so I'd know which location it was so I didn't call it again, that's it. When I asked the third time though she acted like I was the one with the problem and got mad at me for emphasizing that she hadn't given me the address yet. I think she probably didn't know it and had to look it up or something, because she definitely avoided saying it until I asked the third time. Then she said it so fast I couldn't understand her. When I asked her to repeat it she said it's my fault I didn't understand her because I'm "yelling" at her! I wasn't yelling, and the reason I didn't understand her was because she was deliberately talking fast. I don't get how people who act like this to customers still have jobs. I'm literally only trying to get my medications which I need to take daily for my health problems, that's all. There's really no need for people to take out their frustrations with their jobs on me. read more

Where shall I start and will the store even care? I have been waiting for a month for a refill on my Ozempic, and I am told it is out of stock. I can understand that, things happen. What I cannot understand is receiving a notice that it arrived, and my script was being filled, only to later and once again be told its out of stock. What did I take a back seat? In the meantime, my blood sugar is rising from about 80 with the Ozempic to now around 135. God only knows when it will stop, or if it will. In the meantime, the store is indifferent to the issue and does nothing to locate the drug. There are routinely lost. read more

My son has Influenza A and just got over a day with a high fever, severe aches, nausea....the works. Doc prescribes several medications to mitigate symptoms but also (more importantly) a Z-Pack for the sinus/ear infection he also now has. They sent the medications his morning to the Cal Oaks Walgreens. I stopped by Walgreens 20 minutes later to makes sure they are processing before finally heading home. They say they don't have the Rx for the Z-Pack. I go home, call the doc office and the nurse says "No, it got sent in with the rest. It is at the top of the list of meds prescribed. Re-check with them and call us back if there is an issue." I call the Pharmacy only to be put on hold (someone answered and immediately put me on hold) where I waited for quite a while before they hung up on me. I was livid at this point as I had another bad experience just last September trying to fill a scrip. I called Charlie the manage who was quite helpful. Long story short, he said the ZPack was in and getting filled and to come by in 20 minutes. I drove over after 30 minutes only to be told they didn't have the ZPack Rx. ....but then suddenly she says, "oh, it just came through right now (as we were speaking). That will be ready in an hour." I am fuming now. I called Charlie but had to leave a message since he's at lunch. I really don't want to transfer Pharmacies but I may have to if this is going to be how things are going forward. I have been a patron of this location for many years and really not sure what has changed as I have never had an issue up until last September and then what I experienced today. The level of incompetence in their Pharmacy is mind numbing. Now I have to drive back there with my sick son in tow for a 3rd time just to pick up his Rx that should have been filled at least 3 hours prior. .....unbelievable. read more

Rarely get my prescriptions that I need. My doctor's office says they're the only pharmacy that can't seem to get my meds filled for some reason. Today I called to have a prescription transferred and they literally put me on hold 12 different times coming on to the line to say please hold without asking if I could hold or not and then just putting me back on hold. 12 times. I've had great luck with the Photo Dept and have been pretty pleased with the Pharmacy Dept overall as well. Most everyone there seems committed to customer satisfaction and are pretty helpful. One Assistant Mgr really helped me love my holiday cards on my 2nd try. One pharmacy rep saved me a lot of money once with a great app suggestion. Sometimes my Photo projects are ready almost immediately. Yesterday they were late, but adjusted the price on my 11 x 14 item without me even having to ask. They aren't perfect but I'll be a good customer for life. They are worth driving a little out of the way for! read more

Really great pharmacy. Pharmacists always make sure I have my proper meds and if I need to pick up sooner they always will do it earlier in the day if needed. Very nice people here pharmacy and in store. Pharmacy also has a drive thru which is super convenient! Switched here years ago instead of CVS and will never switch again. Thank you guys for working so hard to get everyone their prescriptions. Special shout out to Antonio for being such a sweetheart! Went early in morning to get shingles shot and avoid crowds due to Covid concerns. They make you have an appointment and have to do it in the afternoon when its crazy crowded. NO Thanks and really great way to spread the ViD. Went to Albertsons 1 block away. In and out, no problem and no crowds. Funny that a grocery store is easier and smarter regarding health and people avoidance. read more

My doctor called in my diet pills and after 4 trips to this pharmacy promising they will order them, still no success. Every time I go in they say "you realize these cost $220?" and every time I reply yes, that I am willing to pay for them. Ok come back in two days...4 trips later, still hungry ;)) I wish they just would have been honest with me and said, sorry we can't get these. I USED to fill all my family's prescriptions here, but their lack of professionalism has caused me to take my business elsewhere. Only buy here if you buy generic and routine meds. read more

About a month ago I went to Walgreens to pick up some pictures i had developed there. The young man behind the counter and I had a pleasant conversation about how we had both lived in Oklahoma for a little while and loved living in this area now. Today We went to Walgreens to get Mila'a prescription and see if we could find any hand sanitizer (something I have been searching for a while now) or rubbing alcohol. Of course it was cleaned out. No biggie we grabbed a couple things paid and started to leave. As we we're making our way out the door and I saw the young man running around like crazy because it was so busy. I smiled a sympathetic smile at him and he smile back.. then I here "excuse me ma'am?" I turned around and he hands be a little bottle of hand sanitizer from his pocket. I was baffled and offered the most sincere thanks! Someone once said in time of crisis look for the heroes to rise up. Well Walgreens employee you are my hero today. read more

I would like to commend an outstanding employee at this branch of Walgreens. Her name is CHICAGO ("...like the state," Chicago stated when she introduced herself to me). I was in need of a Covid test kit and had to drive from Menifee to Murrieta as I was informed that they had one there. When I called the pharmacy, Chicago informed me that there was only one in the store. She would not be able to hold it for me as this was company policy. However, Chicago did not leave me at that and hang up, but found a way for me to get it. She asked if I was able to access their website to order the kit for pick up. This way the product was locked for me and I would be able to pick it up. Chicago did not just give me the information and hang up. She stayed on the phone with me as I locked in my order. She then made sure it registered on their computer with no glitches, until I picked it up in the drive through at which time she literally got it into my hands! All throughout this interaction Chicago was kind and caring and so efficient! The world needs more people like Chicago! Thank you so much Chicago! Went to the drive-through to pick up a prescription we were the the second car in line. The first car clearly was filling a prescription. They were not told to go around the building and get back in line behind the other seven cars that were behind her. During the 20 minutes that we waited for that one car to be given their prescription three cars left the line. I'm hoping they went to a different pharmacy. Which is what we will be doing the next time. We have gotten our prescriptions solely at this Walgreens for last 7 years. The customer service has gone down hill greatly! The pharmacy staff didn't even say sorry for the 20 minute wait they didn't care they allowed that car to sit there while they filled the prescription that's bad business. It's inconsiderate. When we have pulled up to the window to fill a prescription on previous visit we've been told to go back and get back in line after we dropped it off we weren't allowed to sit at the window and hold up everybody for 20 minutes. Get a grip Walgreens there's a lot of other pharmacies in the area! read more

I would be lost if this location was not here. I was a RiteAid customer since they opened and until they closed. I always had issues with them except the last year and then I transferred everything to the Wildomar store. Nothing but trouble and excuses so I transferred to my Walgreens here. I now know what great customer service these days are. Mind you I am retired from the drugstore industry ( Corp and store manager) so I know what it's all about. Every employee in the store from manager down and absolutely everyone in the pharmacy has been helpful to the point they even remember my name and pull my scripts before I even get to the window. They fixed my nightmare with RiteAid the day I walked up to the counter. It's been this way for the year I've been a new customer. Thank you for doing it consistently right! If I had any issue at all it would be the tiny size of the store. I didn't know this until I had an emergency late one Sunday night and had my doctor call in a script to the other Murrieta store. It was very nice also. The pharmacist was very helpful like the cal oaks store. I'm a lifer. read more

I was just reading some of these reviews and thought I would share my experience regarding this particular Walgreens. I used to get my monthly prescriptions at Target but after numerous problems with their service, I switched to Walgreens. I have nothing but high regards for this store. The pharmacy department gets an A-Plus from me, and particularly, Tristan, the pharmacist. The pharmacists as a whole, are very knowledgeable and pleasant, however, Tristan always seems to go above and beyond great customer service. You can tell he really cares about his customers. I'm not sure about the reviews regarding rudeness in the store. I have NEVER experienced rudeness, only helpful, cheery staff. But then again, I always treat everyone I meet with respect and kindness. Life is too short, no matter what your age may be. Be Kind and you will receive kindness in return. read more

Just happen to pass by and dropped off my prescriptions here. This was one of the best or if not the best pharmacy in this town. Service is fast and great. Wait times are 15 minutes or less. The staff is very helpful and excellent customer service. They got my prescription order ready in minutes. Extremely rude staff! The associate at the cashier (josh)messed up on items that I purchased and when brought to two managers attention, both were extremely rude, did not care to help and one even laughed (Amber and Jasmine). I told them that a similar situation has happened before and that is why I specifically asked the associate to keep the items separate and he did not. I am completely bummed out, Walgreens pharmacy no longer accepts Anthem Blue Cross PPO.

So I've been coming here for 2 years. The employees have been fantastic up until tonight. A gal serving the drive up window who has been nice fo the past year was sick and treated me so rudely when I asked some questions and changed my insurance info for 2018. I would normally give 1 star but this was the first incident I've had that was negative but what bothers me is she was so angry for being at work with a cold or the flu she was taking it out on me. I told her that she was rude and if she felt that bad she should go home. She raised her eyes at me and passed me on to another gal who agreed with my take. She continued to stare at me as I was getting me medications while working with another person. I was there to pick up meds for my wife who has been battling breast cancer for the past three years so having much sympathy for this person was hard to muster up. She has no idea how lucky she is to just have a cold or the flu. I hope Walgreens sees this and at least acknowledges that when their employees are ill, they should not project their feelings to customers. Actually they should stay home. I will move all of our medications to RiteAid due to this. Just had to get off my chest as this really bothered me. read more

12/29 They've lost my prescription, a medication for my high blood pressure. I called and they said I only dropped one prescription when I dropped off two. I told them I even asked if they can give me that one first since I still have my pain meds and they said doesn't matter cause it will still be a 2 hour wait. After two hours I sent my daughter to pick it up and guess what just one pill! I called over and over and they insist only one prescription, my pain meds. I tried calling my dr to get a new prescription but the holiday week no appointments available plus his on vacation and the ER wonts see you unless you are dying. My BP has not been able to go below 140/111! I called my dr office again and they said Walgreens needs to cal them and of course Walgreens respond we'll have the pharmacist call your Dr. Now it's 1/5/18 no BP meds!!!! read more
